Works great

Although I think that it should come with the carrier itself, I love it. We started using our ergo as soon as the insert came in, when our son was about 3 weeks old. It made him sit nice and snug and safe in there. We love it. We use ours for shopping trips as well, since he stays happy and content in there longer than if we try the car seat method. We ordered the natural color insert, and it looks great. Looks very organic, and is very soft. Always stays secure in there, no matter how it gets smashed during packing it around. Have not washed it yet, so I don't know how it will hold up after that. Again, I think that Ergobaby should include this in their carrier package, but I guess we are happy they have an option to purchase it at all so we didn't have to wait months to use our carrier. Also easy to install.

Snug and cozy!

I bought this when my baby was 10lbs. He is now 14 lbs and I plan on removing the infant insert soon. I hesitated to buy it because I would only use it for a short time, but it gave me so much freedom! I wish i had the insert earlier. Used it for 2 months. Loved it.

I love my Ergo

I love my Ergo. I am so glad that I bought this when I had my youngest. There was no way I would have been able to wait until she became of the correct weight to use the Ergo without the insert since I had a 6 year old and 4 year old to attend to. Having this insert was a life saver. The only thing I wish I was different is that I could be able to breastfeed with it. The insert makes the baby sit too high for me to do that. It was ok. That just made me take time to breastfeed her in the rocker and enjoy it more. I highly recommend this insert if you have an Ergo. I love wearing my babies. This made me be able to do so sooner.

Lifesaver!

I have used the Ergobabh carriers for years with different kiddos (I was a nanny) and now have my own little one. I got the sling wrap carrier thinking as a newborn, my son would like it more. I was wrong! He hated being forced to spread his hips out and I felt like I had to make it super tight to be supportive and then it was uncomfortable for both of us. Enter, this infant insert. It allows my son to move his head around more, keep his legs spread in a developmentally healthy way without being forced, and provides all the support he needs without feeling like we’re both being squeezed! I wish I would have bought this weeks ago... highly recommend!

Easy to wear and comfortable for carrier and baby.

I have an ergobaby carrier I bought from target for my first-born 5 yrs ago. I really wanted to use it for my 2 mo old but I thought I’d have to wait for him to be big enough for it. Then I saw this product on amazon and let’s just say I LOVE it. My little guy is 12lbs, 23in and he absolutely loves it. It’s so easy to use too. I do wish it had a tiny little bit more head support cause I do have to pull it up behind him every now and then when I’m walking but it’s not that much of a problem to take away from getting 5 stars. I live in Palm Desert where it has already reached 107F. I wear it to Go on morning walks and it’s so easy to put baby in that I wear it every day to walk to my community mailbox. he doesn’t get fussy because he’s sweating. No sweating so far. Im 100% happy with the purchase!

Great for dog walking

I have had an overall great experience with this product. We got the Ergobaby carrier after a lot of deliberations and decided to get the infant insert so that we could start using it right away. I have two dogs over 50 lbs and I knew I would need to walk them while I was home alone with the baby. I found out very quickly that two dogs and a stroller were just too much to handle, but with the infant insert I can place my daughter snug against my chest while we walk the dogs, even at this early age. She settles in nicely and typically falls asleep on our walks. It did take me a few tries to get her properly placed in the harness with the infant insert, but once I figured it out I wouldn't change to any other harness.

One of those things I didn't think I needed, but now love

I tried the "blanket hack." I was ok with that, figuring kiddo would outgrow the insert quickly and it wouldn't be worth the money. But hubby wanted to buy this, so we did... And it is worth the money!!! The little pillow is thicker and softer than a blanket, and holds its shape. (If you use a blanket, you have to keep refolding and repositioning it.) The insert provides support to back of legs, and back of head, so that it cradles kiddo and it just seems more comfortable. It does make the ergo bulkier and warmer, but it just feels better for both kiddo and the person wearing baby. Easy to clean - throw it in washer and dryer. It's held up well. Don't be like me and use the blanket hack to try to save money. This is worth it. You won't regret buying it.

Perfect for little ones

I have used this more than once and it works great. My little girl was less than two months old when I used it for the first time. It was a little tricky getting her in it for the first time, but like anything else, it takes practice. I like that it is like a little seat for her to sit on so she's not all bunched up on her feet. It did seem to keep us fairly cool since it was a pretty warm day when we were using it, but just having her body on my chest did warm us up. She seemed comfortable in it and didn't really cry when getting in it. I will definitely be using it for here very soon since the weather is nice once again. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes to carry their baby.

7 week old now fits snug in his ergobaby carrier

I bought this insert for my ergobaby original carrier. My 7 week old son fits in it great and lets me get done housework while he snoozes away for his afternoon nap. I haven’t worn this outside yet but since I live in South Florida I think the extra padding from the insert would make him get overheated.
