I was very wary of purchasing fake blood, I didn't want one that would stain too much or would be too runny or just off in color. This product knocked my socks off. You can easily do a thin layer of red and it is the perfect shade. But you can also build it up, the more you layer the more dark and clot-y the 'blood' looks. It's fantastic. The next thing I noticed about this, was instead of it drying a pink or a bright red - after it sits and sits on you for a few hours it'll dry into a dried blood color, yes - you heard me correctly, it dries brown - like blood. If you continue wearing it after it has oxidized, it will crack a bit, just cause it's folding with your skin and what not. At this point you could easily chip it off - or you can very easily wash it off at any point with soap and warm water. I have fairly pale skin, so if something stains it usually appears very dramatic on me, however the 'stain' that was left behind from this was hardly noticeable. If you weren't looking for it, you wouldn't see it. I highly recommend this product. I absolutely love using it and I have full intentions to purchase more of this product when my bottle runs out!

Very useful!!

This is a very handy product for people who need some theatrical blood effects on the go. As a performer, do I want to lug around a half gallon of fake blood just for one nosebleed or festering wound?! No! Plus this is much thicker and tackier than fake blood. Very useful for getting that gory gleam to sell small injuries AND...it won't just run everywhere. You only need a little which is what makes the size so very useful. Some people seem to have an issue with it staining or not drying, but that's par for the course with a lot of effects makeup; even buying professional grade makeup will have the same result. It did stain my skin after use but after showering it was gone--nothing too dramatic. I'd expect the same of any blood effects makeup. This is perfect for photos and performances when you want a very fresh looking wound, and it dries into a lovely, gnarly blood stain.

No smell, doesn’t stain

Great product. Doesn’t stain skin or has a smell. The “blood” comes out of the bottle with the same consistency as real blood. Looks pretty realistic. I put the blood on my outfit the day before the party and it was bright and vibrant. The next day when it dried it looked like old blood so I put more on. This product doesn’t take long to dry. Maybe about 5-10 minutes after applying.
