Exceeded Expectations
This brush works great! I'm embarrassed to say that my tongue was caked with gunk and at one point looked brown. It was disgusting. Anyway, once the brush and tung paste arrived, I immediately scrubbed my tongue. I almost cried when I saw pink again haha. I had been skeptical because my regular toothbrush didn't clean my tongue very well, so why would another brush be any better? I'm glad I gave it a shot. Because I felt that my tongue was really dirty, I scrubbed vigorously and after a couple uses I actually made my tongue bleed. That's probably why the package said "brush gently" (which I first thought was a bit overkill). Now I just lightly brush once a day. I don't even use the paste- just water- and it works well.

Great products bundled at a good price
I've used a Tung Brush and gel for many years. There really is no substitute for optimal tongue hygiene. This gel & brush bundle is priced well. Bonus recommendation section for oral hygiene fanatics: -Use your Tung Brush with a strip of gel above the center hole. Brush downward 30 strokes in slanted angles. Go all the way to the back of your tongue. - Clean your Tung Brush every 2 wks in a peroxide bath (a little shot glass works great) - Brush with Colgate Total Advanced Deep Clean paste or gel -Floss at night - Rinse with water - Rinse with SmartMouth mouthwash (regular or Advanced DDS are both good)

Better than the regular tongue scraper
I actually really like this. To me it works better than a traditional tongue scraper. I use it at night and in the morning after I brush and it has definitely made an improvement in my breath. Even though it’s a brush it didn’t leave my tongue sore or make it bleed and the color of my tongue even actually looks better. The gel that comes with it isn’t strong or overwhelming and it doesn’t burn my tongue or mouth either.

Great product!
A lot of people don't realize that a good portion of bad breath comes from a dirty tongue. That white film on the tongue is a film of bacteria and needs to be broken up by being brushed and these brushes are the best I've ever found. They're very wide so they cover a large area of the tongue and I can get a good brush in before the gag reflex makes me pause. A great follow up to brushing your tongue is to then use a tongue scraper to really make your tongue pink and clean again.

Finally! A Clean Pink Tongue!
Despite being fastidious with oral hygiene (yes, I even floss daily), the one insurmountable obstacle for me has always been a clean looking pink tongue. My tongue has always had a whitish or yellowish coloring to it. I've tried several different tongue scrapers and while they removed any funky smells and made my tongue feel cleaner, they never removed the discoloration. The TUNG brush has fixed all of that and I'm thrilled! My tongue is now an even shade of healthy pink after using this product. I do occasionally get some residue from eating dairy products but one quick use of the Tung brush and it's all gone. I encourage users to only use the Tung brush once a day when first starting. Your tongue isn't used to being brushed like this and it can cause a little damage initially. I had one little spot that bled a little for a few days when I first started using the brush but after 4-5 it stopped. The low profile of the brush makes it easy to reach the back of my tongue without triggering my reflex which is a huge bonus. I do have a bit of a hard time cleaning the surface of the middle of the very back of my tongue (the area curves upward when my tongue is extended) but a little special attention to that particular spot gets the job done.

You (and family, friends, and co workers)will thank me for this review...
These brushes are indespensable - they last a decent amount of time (retain their softness for a good while). I use Tongue Gel with this brush and then a tongue scraper to remove the bad breath causing gunk. I then brush my teeth with Sensodyne, floss, and then rinse with Therabreath. This ritual with these items specifically was taught to me by my barber in NYC who couldn’t take my dragon breath any longer and told me out of the blue how that process had worked for him. I realized that he was suggesting that I try it without saying so. I was so embarrassed but it was exactly what I needed. Who can say that their barber cured of them of their life long halitosis!!!!?

Hands down the best tongue brush
Do not buy this tongue brush. Once you see how clean it gets your tongue, you'll never be able to stop using it. You'll be stuck having to brush your tongue twice a day, using this exact tongue brush, because nothing else compares to it. I thought my tongue was clean before. I was wrong.

For once, a tongue to admire!
I'm not usually the product-endorsement type, but check this out. For years I've been embarrassed of my tongue. Not only is it deeply fissured, but it's always had a really gnarly film on it. It always made me feel gross (apologies to anyone whom I may have kissed in the past). I brush several times daily, and I always brush my tongue to the point of gagging. I have tried mouthwashes. I have used tongue scrapers. I've showed it to a doctor thinking I had thrush; he said that while it looked gnarly and might make me feel icky (not his exact words), that it was nothing. Holistic health people would probably swear that I have some sort of chronic candida hypersensitivity (which, by the way, is a pseudoscientific cult and not, like, a real thing: [...] So, I decided to try this TUNG Brush & Gel pack. Last night I brushed my teeth as usual. Then, I ran the TUNG brush under hot water for a while to warm it up, and then added a little of the gel. I used as directed, basically spending 20 seconds or so just brushing my tongue with it. I bled a little bit, but I presume that's from a) my vigor when brushing and b) the fact my tongue isn't used the the attention. I rinsed with cold water and spat. I stuck my tongue out. NO FILM. NOTHING. I HAD A NORMAL, PINK, HAPPY-LOOKING TONGUE. I can't remember the last time I've seen my tongue like that. My mouth tasted clean. I felt kissable. Anyway, good stuff. I'll be using this daily from now on.

I think bad breath is caused by something different in everyone
I think bad breath is caused by something different in everyone. My husbands breath never smells and he does not bother with half the stuff I do. I have always had good dental hygiene habits, flossed daily, brushed at least twice a day, used a tongue scraper, used every therabreath product ever made, but even after a daily thorough regime (which was ridiculously expensive), i was still not confident in my breath even right after brushing. I gave this a shot and I'm amazed. I've always had thick saliva but this stuff almost dissolves the saliva on my tongue. I've read people calling it sticky plaque and I honestly don't know what it is, but this brush and gel has been a game changer. I dont have a perfect pink tongue but this has helped significantly. I have tried so many products including probiotics, changing my diet -- and nothing seems to work as well as this. This brush and gel is awesome, I highly recommend it.

This transformed my tongue
Wow, I am blown away by this! I was definitely skeptical because all these super hyped products never seem to work for me, but here we go... my tongue has never been the perfect shade of pink and when my ice tea addiction started about 2 years ago it just got worse. So now, after a several year long (and going strong!) iced tea problem, my tongue has been straight up brown - YUCK! Honestly it was so gross; I was so embarrassed and self conscious about it. Enter the TUNG Brush & Gel Starter Pack. I used it for the first, but certainly not the last time this morning and after just 30 seconds of gentle scrubbing my tongue looks exactly how a tongue should look! I also want to add that my tongue has been oddly sensitive lately and I've had these deep (and painful) trenches running along my tongue (I'm sure I have my sour candy addiction to thank for that). After reading other reviews I was worried that this product would irritate my tongue further - not the case! I just very gently rubbed the brush in circular motions around my tongue and there was no irritation/pain/bleeding whatsoever. The brush did ignite my gag reflex a couple of times but no where near as often or as intensely as a regular toothbrush does. TL,DL: if you are worried about your tongue not being perfectly pink - get this, you won't regret it!
