Perfect fit

This top fit perfectly on my old 20 long tank (living world brand) and allows my led light to illuminate the front and back of the tank better than the old plastic tops. The hinge part is clear which is also a plus for lighting. The plastic strip in the back is a headache to get on and i cut myself a few times while trying to install it. Overall, it’s a great, sleek addition to my planted aquarium.

I love it

Perfect fit. Easy to clean. Keeps moisture and critters in. I cut two sections of the plastic in the back off for my canister filter, and very little evaporation occurs.

Crystal clear glass, nicely bubblewrapped (the thick stuff!).. what more can you ask for?

I’m really, genuinely pleased with the item and how it was shipped to me. It was in an H2Pro box within another box, and inside the H2Pro box it was completely covered in nice thick bubblewrap. There wasn’t even a scratch on the glass! The handles I recieved were a gray/black color (The picture for the item has yellow handles, but the other reviews have red/orange handles (maybe you get a random color? or maybe they just changed the handles?) The handles have stuck on really well, too- it feels almost like gorilla glue tape! My only problem with the item is that I’m not strong enough to get the plastic back part on it, but I’ll see if I can get some help squeezing it on there. Overall, a pretty nice tank lid! If this one breaks, this is the brand I’ll buy from again.

Very nice. Well constructed and nice heavy glass but a bit short for my tank's depth. Be sure to measure your tank! I'm keeping it anyway though, because it is so well made that I think it will still be a very good choice after a little fiddling to lengthen the back flange. The orange stick on rubbery handles (it comes with 2 in my size) are nice and functional, but don't lend a sophisticated look to the top, if that is an esthetic you're looking for, you will need to alter the color or .... something.

THE BEST HOOD EVER!

I've gone through so many hoods it's ridiculous just for my 29gallon. I took a chance with this purchase and couldn't be more satisfied. I owned 4 AQUEON hoods similar to this and they all shattered just from simply removing them from the box or taking them off from the tank top for a water change. Unlike the black rubber on the AQUEON, what I love most about this hood is that the rubber piece in the middle that bends acting as the hinge, is clear and doesn't interfere with lighting fixture! But please be aware, especially those with HOB filters, etc., there's a very minimal amount of room in the back, NOT including the removable rubber strip in the back, (I don't use). I have a 30" by 12" with a Fluval 70 HOB along with a Fluval 206 canister filter, plus my heater, etc., and it just fits...see picture.

Nice aquarium top, fits my tank perfectly.

Came in 2 peices, kind of hard to get together, but is possible, and works great for keeping evaporation from happening. Plastic section can be cut for filtration tubing and air tubes.

Buy this cheaper one for great quality

I saw a similar hood that was more expensive but people were posting bad reviews for it so I got this one at a cheaper price and it's PERFECT. I had it on for a couple of hours and my tank's temperature has risen as it keeps the heat and stops evaporation. Plus the plastic part on one side is removable so when cutting it didn't work to fit my filter, I just took it off and it only left about half an inch or so of space. It's created the most beautiful tropical feeling and fit like a glove. I've been running into so many issues setting up my new tank and it was a relief that this piece was such a breeze. I definitely recommend it

High quality and thick glass.

High quality and thick glass. Nicer than the Deep Blue Professional tops that came with my aquarium. The tab to open the lids are junk and was already off the glass when I opened the box. I didn't dock any stars off the rating because every glass top I've had does this. Just glue or double-sided tape them back on.

Fits 37 gal tanks

37 gal tanks are hard to find lids for. This is just about right, could be a quarter inch shorter in length to fit in the recessed area, but with some Velcro command strips to secure it to the tank it’s just right!

High quality glass cover!

This cover is a nice upgrade to the Aqueon version. I purchased it for my 29 gallon Aqueon tank and it fits perfectly. It seems to be higher quality and I like the clear hinge! It has a nice back piece that fits tightly and can be cut. The reddish strange looking “handle” however is cheap and I purchased a Marineland one to replace it.
