• For step series 22, 23, 28A, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38 and 40. This gear box has a curved linkage assembly
  • "A" is embossed on the linkage arm
  • Gear box linkage for "a"
  • Measures 99-1/2" long x 19-1/8" wide x 8-1/4" deep
  • Note: this is kwikee part Number 1101425

The Kwikee steps on my Fleetwood Expedition started making a very loud clicking noise when closing. After removing the motor from the steps I was able to see that one of the teeth on the gear on the linkage side had broke off. I attempted to replace just the large gear however given the way the linkage part is built, this is not possible. The new linkage part arrived as expected and took about 15 minutes to reinstall. Now my step works great and I saved over $600 by replacing the broken part and not the whole step assembly.

perfect fit! IMPORTANT - this is for newer style IMGL steps only not the old style pre imgl...find your part list to confirm they look alike!!! the easiest way to tell the difference is to look at the end of the shaft that the linkage attaches to (dead center of unit)...on the new style (this one), you will see a "nut" holding the linkage on. The old style (not this one-pre-imgl) will have a "square" one piece shaft tip and the linkage shaft is held in place by a round bushing with square hole in it that fits on the shaft end and is supported by a "kidney shaped cover" mounted to the motor. ****the matching motor for this gearcase is Kwikee 379147 Motor Replacement Kit - the clutch in it commonly wears out and slips so i advise you to replace it now as well. if you broke this gearcase then you probably broke or stressed the clutch too and it only comes with motor kit. I recommend you take your motor and gearcase apart and inspect ALL of the parts you may have broken! I am an RV mechanic and these steps get hammered into curbs and not lubed properly so a few parts will likely break...some in this gearcase like the linkage, motor bolts, large gear and some in the motor clutch/gear housing. this actually seems better made than the stock units. worked great on my customers 2004 bus with the imgl kwikee step. my step was coming down fine but would skip going back up and when fully retracted, motor would keep running and make a loud pulsing clicking noise until he had to cut the wires to turn it off. i had two broken parts and also needed the motor with the motor slipper clutch (large white plastic gear with triangular clutch mechanism inside black plastic housing attached the actual motor) FYI these steps break from lack of proper and complete lubrication (don't use light spray oils like wd40 or silicone spray, use motor oil it lasts much longer...i use it yearly ALSO lube every pivoting point of contact and the large shaft bushings way up underneath that the linkage attaches to) and they also break from what i call curbing! hitting curbs or letting the step down on top of the curb and then loading your rv...all that weight and rocking back and forth puts tremendous pressure on these steps/motors and gears. always park far enough away from the curb to let the step fully extend with no contact with anything else and they will last the life of the rv. if your steps are bent and binding, take them off and straighten them out or take them to a blacksmith or metal shop before installing these new parts or youll be buying new parts again soon. they need to be moving freely to last.

Replaced motor and actuator on Monaco Knight 2003. Old unit was a different design. During disassembly different parts either broke or were seized and very difficult to remove. This newer design power step gear box and the new motor are much better. Don't order just one part. Buy both a new gear box and a new motor. Like others have mentioned make sure you select the correct actuator linkage arm design. Mine was A linkage. Hint: reach under with your phone and take a picture, then order the part.

I purshased both a new motor and this gear box. The old gear box had 2 spacer 'washers'. It appears the new gearbox I received stamped July 2020 does not need the spacers. I added them and the motor and gearbox did not seat but left a 1/4" gap. Omitted the spacers and both fit together snugly. Looks like the actusl gear in the new one is taller, I assume this was done to omit the spacers. Easy to install, works well.

My old step transmission broke on the shaft. I bought this new transmission in hopes that that would fix the problem. Turns out that the old motor won't work on the new transmission and an old type transmission is not available. So, I bought a new motor as well. I works great (even with the old electronic module which the seller said it would not) I now works great again!!!

Replacement for 2006 Hurricane MH with Kwikee step series #963209000. Be sure to adjust the stop cams correctly per Kwikee manual so you have full crank travel. Otherwise, it will cause an unwanted torque load on the shaft when steps are extended.

Was an effort for me to do myself. Pulled entire step assembly off coach. Replaced part on work bench and needed help getting assembly back on coach. With it down gears went in 1 2 3. My problem was access to it not the product. It performs perfectly. Would recommend to anyone who is willing to take this task on

But it worked walkway I have the mechanical understanding how to mix the parts to make it work but it was unnecessary to have to go through that without instructions most information on the internet was helpful but you beg at the most if I was to send photographs they would be the ones that I decide to be displayed

Excellent perfect fit , works great and easy to install. I recommend buy this with the motor that is associated with it .. No problems . Otherwise motor alone may not work

Quality product fit perfectly and even came with washers and gasket. RV steps worked perfectly after installing this.
