Life saver!

I’m a little weirded out by how wel this works. I bought it knowing I’d probably send it back. My schnauzer destroys my house when I leave and I don’t want him to spend his life in a crate. Bought this as a last ditch before having him medicated to keep him from freaking out when we leave. It works. 100%. We’ve had it for about 3-4 weeks and tested it. If we leave and he’s wearing it he won’t touch ANYTHING. He’s very calm and collected. If he’s not wearing it he is antsy and we come home to DVDs destroyed, picture frames tore apart, his toys gutted and piled in the middle of the room, and hats chewed beyond saving. I’d recommend this to anyone with an anxious dog.

Seems to be working!!! Yay!!

Just received today...My 6 yr. old..red-nosed female pit seemed to be ready to " crawl out of her skin" at times....it's quite disturbing! This calmed her down immensely...she has paced..but allows me to pet her without turning away...even placed her head on my arms and closed her eyes! In the past, I felt so bad for her..I am hoping continued serenity for her..she deserves it! As do I!

My calm, warm, fashionista pup! (My favorite of 3 Thundershirts)

This is the third Thundershirt I have purchased for my dog. She doesn't have Thunderstorm phobia, but she DOES have anxiety, and the swaddling effect of these shirts definitely help to calm her. I also use them to help keep her warm outdoors on our walks when the weather is cold. She had major surgery on February 1 and it was cold that morning, so I placed the Thundershirt on her when we went to the hospital. Later, the surgeon recommended to keep the shirt on her following the surgery to place compression on the wound and to help keep her from pulling at the bandages and the sutures. It worked great. She's a black and white dog and she gets so many compliments from the neighbors when she's wearing this bright pink Thundershirt. I also really like that it has the reflective patches on it for additional safety when we're out walking at night. (Note that it took a few tries to get her accustomed to wearing the very first Thundershirt, but now she readily comes for me to put one on her.) I highly recommend Thundershirts, and am pleased that the quality and fit have improved from the first one I bought about 3 years ago.)

Works great for fear of fireworks

I highly, highly recommend this Thunder Shirt for pets scared of fireworks!! My dog has never been scared of thunder storms, but fireworks send her into shivers so strong I worry it could put her into a seizure. I had this delivered a couple days before the 4th of July and I'm so grateful I had it shipped overnight! As soon as the fireworks started, I put this shirt on her and it took about 45 minutes for it took kick in, but once it did, I'm still baffled to share that she was flipped over on her back, belly up in the air sleeping so sound she was snoring. I actually wondered if there was some kind of lavender oil or calming oil in the jacket, because I was so impressed by her sleeping through the fireworks. Even more impressive yet, the following day AND on the 4th of July, I didn't need to put the jacket on her. I'm not sure why that is, but after her shaking every night for nearly a week before getting the jacket, I'm not going to question it, I'm just going to spread the word that this jacket is a MUST try!! If it doesn't work, you can return it. What have you got to lose??

My baby is finally comfortable!

Got this in a medium for my (very petite) Pit Bull/Lab mix with noise sensitivity and separation anxiety. Even though I work in a kennel and am constantly around people's dogs that these jackets work for, I was still incredibly skeptic because my dog has fits so bad she breaks out in hives and claws herself open. But, I've been putting it on her every morning since the day it arrived because it works better than anything else I've tried. She's finally comfortable and not running back and forth crying, hiding behind the couch, or digging at her neck when something upsets her. It works perfectly. Thank you, 5 stars. However packaging is only 1 because the box was crushed and open on one side. ADVICE for people about to order!! Google measurement for Thundershirt and measure around the chest like you're strapping your dog into a seat belt. Saved me from accidentally getting a large.

A+ Awesome product !

I am so amazed on how great this works! I have a great Dane who really is a great baby. She is scared of every loud noise out there. If a stranger comes in the house, she runs behind me, then barks! Comical really. The other day we had a violent thunderstorm in the morning, and my poor dog didn't want my wife to leave. She literally forced herself past wy wife, ran to the car, and wouldn't let my wife get in the car to leave for work! She would always shake, tail between the legs every thunderstorm, and 4th of july I was always afraid she would have a heart attack and die. So after this car blocking incident I bought this thundershirt. It is AWESOME ! She is about 120lbs, and it fit with no problem. Got it nice and snug, and it works so well! I don't understand it! We have had several storms, and it seems like she could care less. 4th of July was yesterday and she didn't care, she napped all night long! She just acted completely normal. This vest is simply amazing!! I have a 2 year old Rottweiler that is hyped out of her mind 24/7. We have tried OTC meds and nothing worked. The vet prescribed prescription meds that were going to cost $25.00/week to try to calm her down. We gave up just figuring this is her personality and we have to deal with it. Saw this online and didn't believe it would help but I figured what is another $45.00 to throw at the problem. From the first few minutes I put it on her she just stood there like a statue. Every morning she spins in her crate starting before the sun rises until we let her out. Today, I had to get her up at 9:00 a.m. She was waiting patiently for me which NEVER happens. I don't know how or why it works. I plan on buying 2 more because she is going to wear these 24/7. Beats putting her on meds...

You need this jacket in your life!!!

I can’t bark (get it? Ha hah) enough about this jacket!!! Simply the best and I’ll tell you why- We adopted a (neglected) senior dog with bags of separation anxiety. We’re talking pissing ALLLLLLL over the house (even though he has a doggy door and access to the garden) on the bed, when he was locked out of the bedrooms, on the carpet, when we crated him, all over the crate and himself. Ew, I know. He’d be ripping up anything and everything, he even managed to climb onto a table and eat CHOCOLATE cookies (jerk), and he’d be barking like a bloody lunatic- NOTHING could stop him from barking for 10, 20, sometimes 30 mins straight- when we left and came back. We were one bark away from a refund on this dog UNTIL the thunder shirt jacket!! We got the package, put on the jacket (see the packaging in the background of the picture, yes, we were THAT excited), he instantly mellowed out. We left him at home in his lightweight jacket thinking there’s another puddle of pee for us to clean up... NOPE! He didn’t even bark once!! Best part? He LOVES it! Every time we pick it up he runs up to it and sits like a good boy all excited. We now have our life back, he’s not stressing out, everything is great!

More Comfortable Than Original

My dog has used the original Thundershirt in the past, but the material was way too hot. She'd be al sweaty under it and panting. She has a serious fear of storms, so I decided to try the new breathable sport version. It's lighter, more giving (moves with her), and much cooler than the original yet still works well. She can actually relax & fall asleep in this one.
