Replacing Shakeology
I used Shakeology for one year a while ago. I loved what it did for my body and health.what I didn't like was what it did for my pocket, it was just too expensive. I went 3 years without drinking protein shakes, because I didn't know I could fashion something similar to Shakeology by combining a full amino acid profile protein powder with a superfood powder plus flavors like raw cocoa and matcha. I chose Orgain because of the price, to be honest. My first purchase was the Chocolate flavor and I found two scoops in 8oz of liquid made an extremely sweet shake and I couldn't drink it. So I asked for a refund (and they didn't ask me to return the used canister!) and ordered the unflavored powder plus the Orgain Superfood powder. It's a winner!! I even like the texture better than Shakeology --- Shakeology was kinda gooey 😩 I vary my smoothies, but my staple recipe is: 1 frozen Banana (bananas ripen too fast, so I freeze them in ziplock bags) 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries 2 tbsp Peanut or nut butter 2 scoops Orgain 1 scoop Orgain Superfood Powder 1 tbsp raw cacao 10 oz Almond milk It's freaking delicious and filling, plus I noticed less bloating. Absolutely recommended 😊

Side affects lose cravings and gain energy 👍
I just started drinking this powder a few days ago and my motto is if it tastes like crap it looks great on the body and if it tastes great well it doesn't usually look so great on the body which is why I bought this to begin with. I didn't want to mix it in my morning coffee that's how my son drinks it. Yuck! But I decided to just mix a scoop in some cold water and just stir it up and drink it and don't worry about the taste. Well I did that for 5 mornings this week and to my surprise by the 3rd day I had lost my taste for sugar and cravings! I was really surprised but that's the side affect for drinking this stuff😎 I have lost a pound and I've been working out and my energy is like the energizer bunny! It's crazy as I am a almost 5 year stroke survivor working on getting my energy back up. About the taste once I get past the first sip I can drink the rest and it taste pretty good. I ordered myself a blender that I can't wait to try so I will come back and update this review next week!😊 I say treat your body good and it will feel amazing 😎

Plant based Organic Protein and priced right!
I've been using this for about a year. I have tried about everything out there and for the money...and being plant based...in my opinion it's right up there with the top name brands; for a lot less cost. I mix it with Organic raspberries, blueberries, 1/2 of banana, Green Vibrance and self ground Flax Seed; plus some high potency mutli vitamins with minerals and Ubiqunol. I usually am never tired and have energy that keeps me going until fairly late at night.I'm going to be 70 and something has to be helping me and I believe it is this regiment. Good luck and God Bless

Soy-free vegetable-based protein powder that's different from whey but not bad
Let me start by saying that I purchased the "Natural Unsweetened" flavor of this powder, since Amazon seems to lump all the reviews together. People who are complaining about aftertaste from stevia or erythritol probably didn't order this one because it doesn't contain those (though it does list "natural flavors" as a ingredient). I figure if I want to flavor it, I can do so myself, but I actually find it quite tolerable as is--per the directions, I mix it with either almond milk or water (or usually a mix of the two with mostly water), and it's fine--not award-winning taste, but I wouldn't expect that from something that is not sweetened and minimally flavored. I normally use whey protein but wanted to try something else for when I didn't want quick-digesting protein, and I wanted to vary my sources by not consuming so much dairy while also avoiding soy. I thought about mixing pea and rice protein powders myself (to get a better amino acid profile than either alone), but then I found this, which mixes them plus a bit more, and it's just what I was looking for! It's more expensive than whey, not quite as versatile, and has a different taste and texture (almost chalky but not disgusting--and, hey, it contains fiber), but it's about what I expected for a vegetable-based protein powder and it's certainly not bad. I will keep this in my rotation as something I use when I want extra protein but don't want to go for whey.

My Everyday, Go To Protein Powder - Tastes Great.
I am an amateur athlete who has lost 60 lbs. in the last 18 months. So far, I've been able to keep it off. One of my many, many strategies for managing my weight, besides being much more active, is to make changes to my everyday eating habits. One of these is to treat myself to a frozen protein mix every few days. As the platform for this, I've used a variety of protein powders and nothing beats plant based protein for taste and low calorie density. When I mix up Orgain in the vanilla or chocolate flavors (they have a new peanut butter flavor, which people are going to love, but I'm not a big PB fan...) with ice it tastes almost as good as ice cream. I can mix in some coffee, semi sweet chocolate, etc., fruits, etc., and get something that is low in calories, high in healthy protein, and tastes fabulous. Orgain is my everyday go to protein powder.

21 grams of vegan protein w/ branched chain amio acids, I have lost a lot of weight and kept it off
Or gain is a great product. We use both the powder, and the premixed drink boxes. I like the taste, compared to other powders I have tried. It is not a DQ shake, but for a vegan protein shake it is good. I only mix it in smoothies with frozen fruits, and fresh produce. So the powder only provides a little sweetness and a lot of protein. If you hate all protein powders, you will probably hate this one too. Maybe if you hate all protein powders try drinking smoothies with just fruits and veggies, and get your protein from some other healthy source. For protein powders, I prefer vegan protein. I get plenty of meat based protein in my diet, but whey protein is harder for me to digest, and process. Vegan protein powder gives me a more balanced amino acid profile, I get the aminos I would otherwise miss in my animal based diet, of milk, eggs, and lean proteins. As a male, I try to avoid soy proteins, and I’m cautious of legumes. Vegan proteins are great, but you want to get the correct vegan proteins, for your needs, goals, and limitations. Or gain uses high quality, safe, balanced vegan sourced proteins. I realize there is a subset of people that say why smoothies? Just eat food. I was not 326 lbs because I was eating healthy foods. I was in the camp of people that thought fruit was a waste of calories. I mean come on, 2 apples have the same calories as a candy bar. But what I have learned is that two apples will nourish and fuel your body, leaving you satisfied. Sugar just trashes your hormones and metabolism. Calories are not the only thing that made me fat. Excess calories from poor nutrition made me fat. Protein smoothies were my baby step in learning how to eat the right stuff. I knew what to eat. I just did not want to do it. Protein smoothies taste good to me. They helped me to learn how to like eating fruit. I now eat whole fruits in place of junk food. I also eat a lot of fruits in smoothies with Orgain powder. My overall review is fairly glowing, and I will let my 5 star rating stand, as I have lost over 100 lbs. The positive benefit of losing 100 lbs and keeping that weight off out weighs anything else for me. So maybe my thoughts are biased. Protein smoothies and an otherwise terrible diet will not help you lose 100 lbs. But protein smoothies, and education may help you learn your triggers to bad eating, and they may help you compensate for cravings, and learn new cravings. It will be a struggle, and it will take time. I do not use this powder in a shaker cup so I can not say how it does with those. I do use it as a component in a fairly complex smoothie with 3 or 4 types of fruit and some greens and juices. My smoothies are not low calorie. They are good calorie with great nutrition. They are not a full meal replacement, but they are close. My smoothies run about 300 calories per serving. I consider a meal 500 calories, for my size and activity level. The nice thing about a smoothie is you can pour what you need and share the rest with your family. My go to smoothies recipe uses The blendtec designer 625 blender with 4 sided jar Any powerful blender will work 4 oz of POM juice

The Best I've Tried (and that's a lot!)
I am so surprised to read the negative comments! I'm on my second canister and have experienced only positive results, both for the vanilla flavor and the chocolate. I have put it in water or almond milk in a shaker bottle and it's fine. I blended it with fruit to make a smoothie. Of course a smoothie will always taste better than plain shaking (!) but honestly, I have tried that with some other protein powders and I can't even choke it down. This is very tasty no matter how I make it. And I feel good - no gas, no side effects in taste or digestion. Plus it sustains me till the next meal. I have tried a LOT of different plant-based protein powders and this one wins, hands-down!

Lifesaver nutrition for our picky autistic son for the last 3 years!
We have an autistic 6 year old who is the pickiest eater on the planet! Fortunately for us, he will drink a smoothie we make in the vitamix every day. I bought this powder and took it with me to a pediatrician appointment a few years ago and he approved it as a good source of protein and nutrition for our boy. We mix it with juice, fruits and veggies, and a scoop of frozen yogurt and it's so yummy! He has been drinking it for years. It has totally been a lifesaver for us! My husband and I drink the shake too and love it! I can highly recommend this protein powder!

My search for the best vegan protien powder ends here!
Five stars & more! Absolutely the finest & best protien powder that is out there which is all Vegan & couldn't get any better! I've tried so many top brands wasting hundreads of $ but each time, I could not continue using the same owing to either it being very unpleasant, chalky in taste & texture resulting in bad stomach bloats, headaches, digestion issues what not! Also being a total Vegan, I so wanted a perfect, clean, plant based high end protien powder to be able to incorporate the daily required protein in to my vegan🍎diet! Needles to say, that this has met all the above criteria of an best vegan protien & some more! This stuff is just amazing 👍 Blends so well in to my smoothies, fruit juices and even with just a plain cup of cold water. Also it is helping me lose some weight :) which a bonus & of course, I work out & watch what I eat too.. I guess This is my new go to super protien powder...Highly recommend it if you want a best tasting, natural, top quality vegan protein..Five Stars all the way!

Don’t Let the Grittiness Win!
This powder tastes nothing like the bottled version and nothing like vanilla, but I love it. The flavor is toasty, like sesame seeds. There's no taste of stevia (which is a NATURAL sweetener, by the way), as there is a minute amount used. I prepare my shakes per the instructions below; adding cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and a TB of chia seeds. It’s absolutely delicious! And I love that this powder already contains chia protein. For those of you who couldn’t find the scoop, try digging around with a spoon—it’s in there. And now, for some help with the grit. First, you need to know that plant-based protein powders will always be grittier than whey powders, and peas are smooth compared to rice. Erythritol and dextrose are grainy, while stevia is smooth. Here’s how to make your Orgain shake completely smooth: 1. First, you MUST blend your drink. 2. Use a creamy milk like almond, coconut or soy 3. Use a full two cups of milk (rather than the recommended 1.5 c) 4. Add the liquid FIRST to avoid powder build-up in the blender 5. If you make it ahead if time, store it in a blend bottle so you can remix before drinking That’s it! If your shake is still gritty after following the above steps, you need to blend longer. But here are some other tips for variety: • Add an emulsifier such as banana, avocado, or nut butter • Try 1 cup of milk + ½ cup of Fage 2% Greek yogurt + honey to taste (reduce protein to 1 scoop) • Go in the opposite direction by adding 1/4 cup of dry, rolled oats to my initial recipe And when you’re done, you can easily clean your blender by adding soap and water to it, then blending!
