Whew baby, shave with this bad boy and everyone will know you're a man. The first couple times I got up at night and walked into the bathroom I was like "Holy crap, is there an animal in our house!?" And then I was like "Oh yeah, there is an animal in our house, and that animal is me, because I shave with a badger." When this thing gets wet, you'll have no doubt whatsoever that this is the real deal. It might even be from a honey badger. I don't know, and I don't give a F. What matters to me is that months after buying this thing, my face still smells like Taxidea taxus. They must have pulled these hairs from the musk glands themselves. My only complaint is that by 2 or 3p, I no longer get whiffs of badger smell. It only lasts through the morning, so I might have to buy another one soon. Highly recommend.

This picture that is shown does not do this product any service. I have shaved for years with the Fusuion blades and they are expensive. After spending so much money I thought that I would give this way a try. I have purchased from the Art of shaving their oils, and shaving soap. So I was already set up for what they call a wet shave. When I received this set in the mail i was excited to see what I purchased. I opened the set and i was blown away by the quality that is given for this price. You can go to the Art of shaving and purchase just the saftey razor for about $100 or more, plus the sand and badger brush are sold separate so you can do the math on that. I would by this product and recommend it to anyone. Now i must warn you that if you have never tried this type of shave. Be patient, at first i was shaving and would cut myself litte here little there, but now after about one week I learned how to use the razor and now i have barber shop quality shaves at home. I recommend watching some videos on how to do this before trying it on your own. I also reccomed that if you are getting into doing a wet shave that you buy the proper products such as pre shave oil and shaving cream or soap. Its very therapeutic to shave this way. On another note i have tried two blades so far, not going to mention the name of the fist blade, but I will tell you that the second one i tried is a winner winner chicken dinner. I am using the feather blades from japan. They are inexpensive and you can purchase them here at amazon. They cut through thick stubble like a hot knife through butter. Any questions please feel free to ask. I hope that you enjoy your shave as much as I do.

Great little brush and stand kit. I really was only looking for a stand like this, as I already owned a brush from my Van Der Hagen set I bought last year but decided on this one because of the free brush thrown in. Glad I did because while this stand has standard size opening for the stand (a little over a 1" opening for the brush and a 1/2" opening for the razor) the stand would only hold my Van Der Hagen brush at the knot, while the included brush with the set holds by the brush handle. Something to be aware of when looking at razor/brush stands and what brush you have. It seems that a lot of brushes out there are 24mm and 26mm brushes that won't really be held by the handle correctly in any stand. This brush is a bit smaller (in the 22-24mm range) but I haven't noticed any difference in lathering or applying lather versus my larger brush. If anything, the smaller size makes me a bit more accurate when applying. In regards to the smell that I have seen on quite a few posts, it goes away after the first 4-5 shaves. The soap and water will rinse all of that stuff out. I've owned a couple of badger hair brushes and a boar's hair brush and they all smell when you first get them, it is animal hair after all.

This Razor/Brush stand is excellent quality. I read all the reviews before I purchased and several of them were misleading. The brush is included in this stand and it’s very soft, good quality no weird smell. The stand itself is very nice, true to photo very solid piece. The razor in my photos was NOT included that was purchased separately. I’m a prime member so I had it in two days. Even the packaging it came in was quality and very nice. I would 100% recommend this purchase. The owner of the company even sent me an email thanking me for my purchase, that’s amazing!

Wow! Where to begin? Umm, the set is an attractive addition to my bathroom sink counter! Not overwhelming, simply compact and very attractive! It’s base is sturdy, not flimsy or cheaply made, the razor is very comfortable in hand, is nicely weighed and has given me one of the best shaving experience I’ve had in ages! The badger brush is compact but lathered and applied shaving soap evenly... it cleaned easily and dried without matting. An awesome shaving set, proudly displayed on my sink! The shaving experience was unbelievable! I once again enjoyed the shaving ritual and didn’t end with tiny red flags all over my face or have red irritation marks or any nicks etc. Simply a wonderful experience from start to finish! I’m so happy I gave this shaving set a try! Love the razor, classy and excellent performance! Love the badger brush, lathers and smoothly applies soap, cleans nicely, love the stand, weighted, not cheap looking or feeling! The whole set is classy! It has renewed my shaving experience and routine! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this set to anyone who enjoys the shaving experience! A must have addition to your sink counter! Can’t say enough how classy and well made this set is... Give it a little space in your bathroom, you won’t regret your decision!

Very attractive set. Very surprised how comfortable a shave the safety razor provides. More comfortable than the triple blade razors I was using. I was afraid, at first, I would nick my face, but this was not the case. I am also able to get a much cleaner edge at the sideburns than with a triple razor and can get the hairs just under my nostrils which I could not reach with the bulkier triple razor. The brush is excellent. The bristles are firm and massage your face as you lather and they don't fall out like some cheap brushes. They have a musty smell at first but this goes away after a few uses. The stand is attractive and sturdy. I highly recommend the matching set. DOES NOT COME WITH ANY BLADES, so put some in your shopping cart. They are much more expensive at the local grocery store.

I love this thing...i bought two safety razors..can't remember the other brand but it was more expensive...i bought the expensive one for my brother and this cheaper one for myself...i love this one ...tried his...not nearly as good. Love the color. Easy to clean 3 part system and switch out the blades. It made a great gift so i sent out to one of my friends for his bday. It's a great gift... The only con was that it doesn't come with a blade...but i bought a pack of 30 that comes with 15 different brands to try them all ...that way I'll know exactly what i like...as far as the shave goes...it is more time consuming then a fast 4 blade Mach 3...but this blade you feel like a man...take your time when shaving...the little brush i don't use ...from my experience i been using regular gel type shaving cream...but i don't foam it up i spray some water and use that for a more gelly shave...it's awesome for a great price...way cheaper than buying expensive blades ....buy it

Got this for my husband and he loved it. He only had one before this one but he said that this one definitely wins. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: the brisels do not come off easily. It feels good and soft on his skin yet sturdy enough to lather. It looks nice in our bathroom and the stand holds it up with no issues. The stand Also perfectly holds up the razor I got him. He thought it was way more than what I got it for. Therefore very good quality. Cons: my husband has no complaints. Overall, my husband is very honest about my gifts and thinks this is a great shaving brush and stand. I see him use it almost daily and it still looks new. I definitely got my money’s worth plus more since he thought it was more expensive. Great quality and great gift.

I've been using these for about 4 months now and both the brush and stand are doing great. The brush is real, and well made for the price point. In four months I've seen minimal shedding and no matting. As a little pro tip with any badger hair brush, give it it a little Garnier marvelous oil after every few uses. Will keep the brush as soft as new for as long as you use it. The stand is a simple stainless steel stand. I've seen no rusting. There is no looseness or flimsy feeling. It's easy to clean and will fit almost any razor. The down side here is that the shiny stainless steel will pick up fingerprints and soap almost as fast as you can clean them off. So if you're a neat freak, this will take a bit of care to keep looking nice. This was a big upgrade over my first badger hair brush. With the first one I walked away cut to shreds, but then someone told me I wasn't supposed to be using a live badger. Things got better after that. It is a pretty simple little thing that does it's job well and without needless drama. You can spend as much as you want on shaving supplies, but I think this is a good combination of quality and value. The razor in the picture is a Merkur 34C. Another great product I recommend. It is also worth noting that the pictures were taken after several months of use. I cleaned them up, obviously, but they show no signs of wear. I'm happy to recommend it.

I was used to air drying my old shave brush from WallyWorld on the window sill--easy to do in South Texas. It finally died when the brush hairs started coming out in clumps. Didn't find a new one at the store so my bride suggested I find one online. Muisco had this one at half the price of other vendors. The brush has a smaller head than I'm used to but time will tell. The metal stand is weighted with a coated no-slip base. It holds my Harry's razor nicely. For the price I paid I got a nifty replacement brush plus a heavy duty stand.
