***review updated*** I spoke way too soon. PATIENCE IS KEY! According to my app, I was supposed to ovulate 6 days ago. I wanted to give up and thought I wasn’t ovulating. I decided to keep on trying to test up until I have my next period. And voila! I finally tested positive on the 6th day after my app said I was to ovulated. The first test strip shows negative on the day I was supposed to ovulate. The other two strips are of me testing today and actually repeated the test. It works!!! Now I will try to Time conception and will update you all!

My periods were really irregular, ranging from 28-35 day cycles and after a few months of using Clear Blue Ovulation I couldn't afford them anymore. Then I found these and they are so easy to use, I was able to use two a day, morning and evening, for as long as it took (without sweating the cost) to determine my LH surge. It was clear the night I had my first positive result, woke my husband up and am now 5 weeks pregnant!! Gave them to my best friend who is also ttc cause they're now the "Lucky Strips"

I just wanted to put this out there because I didn't see a whole lot of reviews touching on this - these are an AMAZING tool for those who are looking into or currently practice FAM (fertility awareness method) as a method of birth control. I have been navigating my FAM journey for a year now after trying to make hormonal birth control and IUDs work for 7 years prior. My cycles are irregular, my BBT charts were all over the place and unreadable, and tracking cervical mucus didn't feel like a completely accurate way of going about things. I didn't really realize that you could buy OPKs in bulk for an affordable price like this... but low and behold! Even after buying them, I was pretty convinced that they wouldn't work or I would never see a positive result and still be in the dark about my cycle but figured for the price, it was worth a shot. I just got my first positive test a couple days ago and let me tell you, it feels SO GOOD to know definitively when I ovulated. I finally feel confident with my fertility awareness! I used 7 my first cycle, so I'm assuming this box will last another 6 cycles for me. I wish I had purchased the 100 pack, but still definitely worth the money! Please, please, PLEASE do your research about fertility awareness if you are planning to use it as a birth control method - you have to have a pretty comprehensive understanding of how the body works in terms of menstrual cycles, pregnancy, etc. and you have to stay on top of it. It's not for everyone. But for those who have done their research and are wondering if these are worth trying, I would say YES 100%.

These test strips are spot on with the Clear Blue Digital Ovulation test. I use both just as a peace of mind. You will always have two lines, as there is always LH in your system. However, when you have an LH surge, the second line will be either the same color as the control line or even darker, like in my picture. My ovulation is never at the same time, so being able to use these with the Clear Blue and them being correct is comforting. Because these are so affordable, you can keep testing until you get a positive. I always start testing about 12/13 days after first day of last period. Sometimes I ovulate around day 14 and sometimes around day 21. I use first morning urine instead of afternoon/2pm urine since I drink so much water throughout the day which dilutes your urine. These are accurate, affordable, and I will continue to use until I get pregnant.

Did their job!! I have been TTC for 7+ YRS and after using this box for 3 months and getting positive ovulation tests we are finally pregnant. These tests were so much cheaper than the store bought tests and easy to use. I had never had a positive ovulation test before with the store bought ones. The HCG tests work great too.

It does work, at a fraction of the cost of the digital tests. I used to use digital tests, but don't want to pay a fortune anymore. The instructions only say to use a container, but I verified that it works in the stream too. The way I verify is to test again using the digital test. On the days before ovulation it shows one line clearly. When it gets close to ovulation day, it may show a second line. No matter how dark the second line is, as long as it's not as or darker than the control, the digital test still says negative. When it's darker than control, digital test also says positive.

These ovulation test strips work great! Sometimes I get a faint positive line, but remember that does not indicate you are about to ovulate. The positive line will be as dark or darker than the control line to indicate you are about to ovulate. Then, get busy making babies! These strips are essential for me because my periods are irregular, so sometimes it takes me an extra week or two to ovulate, and I would have missed my ovulation and probably not had my first baby if it wasn't for these tests. Now trying for #2!

The LH surge is supposed to occur around 8am. The LH then takes about 4 hours to show up in your urine, so be sure to test in the early afternoon to find it. Ovulation then takes 12-24 hours, meaning 8pm the same day, and no longer than 8am the next morning. But the egg can only live for 12 hours, so you must assume that Ovulation has occurred at 8pm the same day as the LH surge or you can miss your fertile time, because the egg might no longer be viable by 8am the next day. So you must have sex the evening of your LH surge. Sperm takes up to 2 hours to swim to the egg. Sperm lives longer, so even if everything takes hours longer, the sperm will still be alive because sperm lives up to 5 days. But by having sex the evening of your LH surge, you will not miss your ovulation if it happens as quickly as it might.

When my expensive clear blue digital ovulation kit suddenly broke and kept giving me the "high" reading for a week straight, thankgoodness I was also testing with these as a back up, because these caught my lh surge when the clear blue digital kit did not (and if you are thinking, well.. maybe the clearblue was right, and i just never reached that "peak" reading... out of frustration I had my husband test his urine and it still claimed a "high" reading... hm......yea.. sure...................). I'm glad I bought these, I never feel guilty about testing often because the cost is so low compared to what I used to buy at the pharmacy.

These strips are very easy to use. The pre-ovulation LH baseline is visible as a faint line, but cannot be confused with the very bold LH surge before ovulation. As a chemist, I rate these as very precise and consistent, and cheap enough to use every 12 hours in order to truly pinpoint the LH peak. Don't waste your money on expensive drugstore ovulation predictor kits- you only need a very basic LH detection strip like this.
