I primarily use the microphone for Dragon Naturally Speaking voice recognition software. The microphone is an important part of voice recognition and I have used several others, including the headset mic that is provided by Dragon when you buy the software. Dragon recommends desktop microphones that cost hundreds of dollars. I'm sure they work great but I can't imagine they are any better than this choice. It works perfectly, fast and accurate recognition. The best mic I have used for voice recognition This is an excellent, economical choice for anyone looking for a better way to enter data by voice.

I got this little mic because the one built in to my Logitech webcam was not doing the job. I set the mic about 2.5 feet from my face, i.e. just on the back side of my keyboard, and it works beautifully. I do a lot of teleconferencing, and all my fellow conferees think I can be heard much more clearly when I speak at a normal conversational level. The USB interface is handy, as most desktops have several of them readily accessible; it has an on-off switch so you don't have to do a software 'mute' if there is background noise; the connecting cord is about 5' long and should easily reach your computer, unless it is really crazy far away from where you sit, and is also a fairly heavy gauge, and not likely to break easily (these cords are often the weak point of inexpensive electronics, and when they're gone, it doesn't matter how well built the rest of the unit is, it's still useless); and the sound quality is first rate, i.e. definitely better fidelity than a phone, and absolutely sufficient for voice. Finally, it is solidly constructed of heavy-duty plastic; if you dropped it on the floor, it wouldn't break, and as I noted, the cord is equally heavy-duty. This thing should last a good long time. All in all, an excellent value.

Bought this for gaming because I got tired of draping my headset around my neck just for the mic; that gets very uncomfortable and I really just prefer the freedom of using desktop speakers for sound when I game. My only regret is not getting a desktop mic a long time ago. I was skeptical about quality/volume since it isn't as close to my mouth as a mic attached to a headset, but it looks like KLIM has engineered this mic just right. I just plugged and played, and in my first game I asked my teammates if they could hear me, how loud, and how clear, and they told me everything sounded spot on. I didn't have to adjust anything. Very well done by KLIM. If you're in the same boat I was in and find yourself using a headset for JUST the mic, and you're sick of the discomfort associated with wearing it around your neck, then look no further. This is easily worth $20. Had I been able to try it out first, I would have paid $50. My gaming headset was $90 and this $20 mic just put it out of a job. Final note: I ordered this BLUE mic, but I received the RED version. To be honest I was indecisive about the color anyway, and after ordering blue, had wished I'd ordered red xD. I wouldn't have cared which color they sent me, but if you're really picky, I hope you'll get the color you order.

In comparison to a $110 microphone - I noticed virtually, no difference in quality. So that means, there is only a very *slight* difference, if any, in terms of clarity. I used my old headset mic from 3 years ago, and wanted an upgrade. With KLIM - my voice is crisp, and clear. Pros: Clear voice, no set up at all (Plug it in, it is ready to use), has volume control AND mute ON the mic itself, inexpensive. Cons: I wish the mic volume could go above what is standard. (in my case, it is a little bit low because of my voice and placement. BUT that is NOT KLIM's fault or issue. It is merely on MY SIDE.) Summary: The only con I could think of was the volume. Because this product, this mic, is a great quality for what you pay for. It lights up, it provides a clear voice. It's lightweight as well. I would definitely recommend this mic to anyone who wants an inexpensive, great mic. (Just because it isnt $100 does not mean it can be great quality) ON TOP OF THAT - The seller even contacted me twice to ensure that I enjoy my product. Again - to see that a company does this, about their product, making sure the customer is put first and they indeed do like what they purchased - That is outstanding and refreshing to experience. I love you KLIM!

Great product, styled well and really goes great with a gaming rig. Wish it came in different colors. If I had to find a complaint, the power button (also the volume button) is a little chincy and feels cheap, but I won't be messing with that often. Picks up sound really well. Went from a gaming headset and this seems to help quite a bit with people being able to hear me well. Was able to ditch the cheaper gaming headset and use my Bose headphones with this mic for better sound quality and mic quality. Quite happy with the purchase so far.

I am very happy with my new Klim Desktop USB Microphone. Previously I was using a Logitech, which was serving me well. However, it had one major design flaw - a narrow mount at the base of the unit. It was destined to break, and it did. The Klim microphone is built to avoid that problem. It has a wide mount on top of a very solid base. The unit is a little bit lighter than you might expect when looking at it. It is 'Plug and Play' and will work instantly after you connect to a USB port. The sound quality is apparently decent. That report comes from a family member on the other end of a Skype conversation. The unit was properly packaged for safe shipping which, with Amazon Prime, incredibly arrives at your doorstep in 2 days. The only suggestion I might make would be to extend the USB cable another 12"-18". But that is my preference only and doesn't reduce my 5-Star rating. All in all, a very solid product selling for a reasonable price. I suspect it will last forever. If you are looking for a new microphone, I suggest you consider the Klim.

I have decided to steer away from "gaming headsets" because they always to have some sort of flaw in them whether it is the microphone or sound quality of the headphones. So instead I now use a separate microphone and pair of headphones. This way if one product fails i can easily switch out and not get rid of the whole thing entirely like i would have to with a headset. Now as the the microphone it self the sound quality is amazing for this price. It is a sensitive mic and has no static noise in the background like i have heard with the mics on gaming headsets. Despite it being built of plastic it is sturdy and does not easily tip over. Really looking forward to what else this company might have to offer :D

Great microphone I use this mic to play games and it does a good job only catching my voice. I get tired of wearing a headset all the time, so this does help relieve some pain i get on my ears, while playing games for long periods of time. Dont really have any complaints. tldr: it works well. lol

I primarily use the microphone for speech recognition software, Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I have tried several microphones of various styles and prices and this is by far the best one I have tried. In fact, I like it so much that I bought a second one to replace my work-provided one. The speech recognition is much better than with any other microphone I've tried and I can truly talk normally with it. Very pleased with this microphone.

Excellent microphone with great sound quality. It was a breeze to set up - completely plug & play. I just plugged it in to a USB port and it immediately worked perfectly. Heads up to other Windows 10 users: make sure the microphone is enabled in the Settings (Privacy) menu or no microphone will work. Oddly, this change can't be made in the Control Panel. To enable the microphone: left click the little icon all the way in the bottom right corner of the screen; left click "All Settings" in the bottom right corner; left click "Privacy" in the box that pops us; left click "Microphone" in the list that pops up on the left; turn On "Let apps use my microphone", and then select the apps that you want to be able to access your microphone - make sure you select the app you're using to record sound.
