Excellent Customer Service
I am beginner on the violin. This is a great beginner outfit. The case is impressive for the price, it comes with a lot of extras and the violin looks good! I emailed customer service regarding their warranty registration page online. Amy replied the same day and registered my violin through email as they were having some tech issues with the website. She was super helpful and made sure I knew that they were just a phone call away if I had any other questions. Kennedy Violins - if you're having doubts, check out their website before you purchase.

I highly highly highly recommend this violin
I purchased this package as a starter violin. At 35 years old I decided that I always wanted to learn so what the heck! I highly highly highly recommend this violin. The package has everything you need and the violin is beautiful, feels well made, and just sounds wonderful to my untrained ear. So many people have told me how they sounded like screeching cats when they learned to play. Well not me!!! This violin sounds beautiful and makes me feel like I'm a Mozart in the making!! I took a couple of lessons from an instructor and he said this violin has a rich deep sound. The company even e-mailed me after a few weeks asking if there was anything needed. Very satisfied with my purchase!

Good Quality Product
I purchased this having never played a stringed instrument (other than failing at guitar about 15 years ago - bar chords aren't my thing). This was an excellent investment; a quality instrument without most of the foibles that people talk about from cheap violins. After almost a year of daily 30-70 minute practice, the strings are starting to show some wear, and the fret board light wear, but I've seen professionals on YouTube with high-quality violins with the same issues. It comes with extra strings (which I'll probably use after about a year of use) that are supposedly the best low-end in terms of quality, a shoulder rest (which is part of what sold me on this particular product!) that seems to work just fine, a carrying strap (haven't used it), a bow that has held up just fine, rosin, and a cleaning cloth (very useful for cleaning rosin off the strings and instrument), all packed very nicely in a hard-sided case with a handle - perfect for carrying and transporting when I need to, or for storing in my closet when not in use. The tone is good - definitely a beginner instrument, but it's a decent one. The tuning pegs slipped a little when I first got it, and again when it was too cold and I tried to tune it, but pushing them in further fixed the slipping problem. I'm very impressed with how it stays in tune (per a Snark tuner). The violin comes assembled, so you won't have to put it together - just rosin the bow, tune it, etc. Gotta say I love the fine tuners which makes it easy to get a string in tune. Overall a good product I'm very happy I purchased!

"Music for your ears" - - 🎼 so very extatic about this violin -
Beautiful violin! Delighted for my granddaughter! #Middle school violinist. Her reflected excitement when she received this new full size violin for her birthday was priceless! She took the violin out of it's case and began to play without hesitation . Awesome tone! Just gorgeous! The offered customer support, given as needed - if needed, is just a terrific additional and free service! What a package! Thank you. We did research on the pros and cons of buying a violin online . We reviewed recommended brands and companies . This fits the bill with a good price point! Boxed thoroughly. No damage from shipping.

Beautiful and well worth the buy!
I bought this for my best friend for her birthday and I can truly say that I am very happy and impressed with this buy! I’m always really skeptical when it comes to buying expensive things off of Amazon but this was not a disappointment! It has beautiful sound and is easy to play and get used to. The case is very nice and is very protective. It came with a bunch of starter stuff witch helped out especially for my friend who knows literally nothing about instruments. The color of this violin is remarkable and it is very sturdy and Nicky built. Overall I am very happy with this violin.

Great kit at a great price
Where was this when I was learning? I've been playing for almost 20 years. This starter kit is legit. A great deal for the price. I highly recommend if you're searching for you or a child. The violin is good quality, the case and bow are good, the extras this comes with are what make it worth it. It includes 2 books, extra strings, a tuner, and beginners poster. All well worth the price. Well done, Kennedy Violins.

Great!
Its great! The order shipped and came in as expected. The box was super light so it felt like it wasnt the right thing, but sure enough a beautiful violin popped out. All extras included. It also came with a free online lesson, which was perfect to help put me back into the swing of things. I haven't played violin in a long time but getting this violin in my hand brought back so many memories. Thanks Kennedy.

So far so good, pending music teacher approval
My son just finished 4th grade along with his first full year of orchestra. He played the violin using a rented instrument from a local store at $100ish for the year. For 5th grade he still wanted to participate in orchestra so I figured we might as well buy him one. We looked for used ones in the area and they were all $150 and up. So you really can’t beat the price for this one which is a really great looking violin. He was thrilled to get it and can’t wait to bring it to school to show his teacher. I will update the review after we hear back from the teacher on the quality of how it sounds. UPDATE: 9/24/18 Music teacher tuned his violin the other day with relative ease. He then commented “wow, that’s a nice violin you have there!”. My son was happy to hear that (so was dad, money well spent). My son has also commented that the case is much much lighter than the old school hard case. It is still as durable as the older ones. This makes it much easier for him to transport back and forth to school on the bus. We highly recommend this violin!

i bought two and they are excellent
Disclaimer: i am not a musician and know very little about violons. I bought two: a 1/2 and a 1/4 and they both excellent. They both generate a “rich” and “jucy” sound - if that makes any sense. Even the miniature-looking 1/4 sized one has a great resonance. They look great too, especially the 1/2 sized one with a darker finish. I was able to easely tune them (using piano and a tuner app) and they remained tuned even after my kids “played” them (or with them) for days. Violin teacher also said both violins were very good. There are plenty of violins around the $100 range, but I am glad I bought the Kenedy ones instead. Also, this is a complete set - even the violin cases are the exact size for each 1/2 and 1/4 model. I, personally, am very happy with these (and more importantly, my kids are interested and get a kick out of playing them withou me having to ask them to practice - this isn’t an easy instrument to learn music from what I can tell)

Sounds great, excellent service from Kennedy.
This is my daughter’s second violin; the first was a loaner from the teacher. Teacher recommended this one. The sound is quite rich for such an affordable piece. We were quite pleased, and it really made a difference with our daughter who instantly felt like she was a “better” violinist; I.e. she could hear the difference, too. The case is nicely appointed and the bow appears to be of high quality. Huge disclaimer: I have no skill with string instruments myself, making this a novice’s review. One special note on service from Kennedy violin. We bought this as a birthday present, so it sat in the closet for a week or two before the reveal. When we unboxed it, I found a hairline crack in the bow. It was a Saturday. The folks at Kennedy violins were available, got me on email with customer service, and had a new bow shipped out Monday. Superb service. We’re very happy.
