When I bought my Surface Pro 2, I bought 3 adapters. All three have now failed at one or more points in the cord after about 2 years of use. My jury is out on whether it's bad design or just the reality of daily use for 2 years. However, I didn't want to spend another $70 on an adapter, so I found these. I was worried the cheaper price indicated cheaper build quality, but any device has a few duds that get through manufacturing and the reviews seemed overall positive here. My main concern on ordering were the few reviews that talked about heat and the adapter causing issues. After about two months of daily I haven't had any problems with them after using them a few months. (I bought 2). I believe they are better than the original, EVEN IF they last half as long because they're also half the price. They have much longer cords for more convenience, and there is a cord tie on both cords so you can just partially wrap one or both if you'd like it to keep it organized. It also comes with a little storage pouch.

Been meaning to write this review for some time. When my original Surface Pro Charger decided not to work anymore, I realised too late that Microsoft had stopped manufacturing chargers for the Surface Pro 1. For that reason I hadn't been able to use my Surface Pro for over a year from 2016 - 2017. I was heading overseas and I decided to try and get my Surface up and running again, so after purchasing a dud charger from Ebay (one of the pins didn't set in properly), I was hesitant about purchasing another charger online, and I was a little unsure about how the difference in voltage and current would effect the charger. After using it for over four months now, with no problems encountered as of yet, I am so happy that I decided to take the chance and buy this charger, because my Surface Pro is finally back in working use again. To go above and beyond, this seller decided to throw in a nice travel pouch to store the charger in. I think the cable was a US plug end, all I had to do was switch over the US Plug over to an AU plug (I just reused the original Surface AU Plug) and to my absolute surprise the white charging indicator light came on and my Surface was charging up after an entire year of inactivity. I am so happy I went with this seller, the charger arrived just before the estimated date, and my excitement to use it was met with success. I'd highly recommend this as a suitable charger replacement for the Original Microsoft Surface Pro. Thank you so much!

I ordered this Kingdo power supply for my Surface Pro 2 a while back, but I waited seven months to write a review on it. My experience with power supplies is that all of them work when new, but the quality of the circuitry inside them needs to be vigorously tested under extended normal use conditions to ensure their functionality. Sadly, I had purchased plenty of power adapters that failed after just several months of normal use (some days within the expiration of their warranty periods). After seven months of use, my experience with this Kingdo power supply has been very positive. The power output has been consistent. Though I haven't measured the current using an ampmeter, this power supply has no problem charging my Surface Pro 2 even when its CPU is under full load (my SP2 runs calculations almost continuously, and the fan is on most of the time, drawing power constantly from the supply). Other power supplies with questionable output characteristics would have been unable to charge the battery under these high-load conditions, but this Kindgo power supply has been very reliable. Its USB port also charges devices quite a bit quicker than many of my other chargers, indicating that the power output on the USB port is equally decent. Additionally, the adapter itself does not get too hot even under these usage conditions, which is a very good sign of the quality of this power supply. While any product can garner a 4 or 5 average rating, the most accurate assessment comes from whether users would pay to buy the same product again. Power supplies, if they work, are meant to hold up for years, so ironically, high quality power adaptors don't get many return customers. But I can say I like this adapter for my SP2 so much that I have purchased another Kingdo power for my 2017 Surface Pro.

Working great thus far (4 months) without a single issue and/or problem. I have had many other brands in the past, and without a doubt (crossing my fingers I’m not jinxing myself) that this one will out last the others. Anyways, it works as it should it charges and keeps my surface pro 2 charged. It even came in this nice little travel bag which I thought was a nice inclusion. 4/5 stars nothing special about it other than it’s still working without a hitch like others that had connection problems before they went. If it’s still working a year later I will gladly change my review to 5 star or update. Update: 4/22/19 Charger still works! I’m shocked/amazed and extremely pleased. Third charger brand was the charm. Would sincerely recommend👍

So far, this is the best of the three replacement power supplies I have bought. Unlike the very "square" one, this one does not overheat during use. Unlike the other one that looks very similar to the original, this one doesn't seem to cause a slight screen waver, or change the quality of the touch screen. I still prevent head damage by tying dental floss around the head just below the 5-prong connector and pull it off using the dental floss. It's a bit of extra fooling around, but I hope it will be compensated by longer life of the unit. Since my Surface is likely to run as long as I live, I'd just as soon keep a working power supply. Maybe I'll buy another of these.

So, straight to it. It was a good purchase. Pros: the wire comes with a case which helps with carrying it. Secondly, the adapter has a Velcro on both pieces of the charger which makes it easy to controll tangling issues. You can Velcro them separately or together in one neat display. Thirdly, the charger has a light on it at the piece that connects to the tablet so you can see it charging clearly. Cons: non that I see so far it been a lil over a week of use I believe no defects yet.

THIS CHARGER IS MULTI-FUNCTIONAL WHICH WAS A NICE BONUS. THE SELLER IS VERY FAST TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS AND TO GET THEM RESOLVED FOR YOU. ( Charger works very well but the light that comes on to indicate charging stopped working ) ALTHOUGH I TOLD THE SELLER THE CHARGER STILL WORKS , THEY ARE OFFERING A REPLACEMENT SO I DONT HAVE TO WORRY IN THE FUTURE. I YEAR WARRANTY FROM SELLER. BONUS CARRYING CASE CAME WITH IT AS WELL AS A NICE THANK YOU CARD . HAVE ALREADY RECCOMENDED THIS SELLER AND PODUCT TO FRIENDS AND WILL CONTNUE TO MAKE FUTURE PURCHASES. I WISH ALL 3rd PARTY SELLERS WERE LIKE THIS ONE!

Quick delivery. Works well; will see how reliable over time. Has a blue LED to indicate the unit was working - something the Micrtosoft OEM did not have. I used tie wraps to provide additional strain relief where the Microsoft OEM failed - i.e. where the cord comes out of the power brick. Also used some epoxy tape to strengthen the part where power enters the Surface Pro 2 (where the OEM's cheap replacement failed). I informed KingDo that the plug part that makes it possible to mount the power brick flush to the wall outlet was missing. They sent me an ENTIRE NEW unit, which ALSO lacks that plug. That is ok because it is not vital to the function of the unit and I have a replacement unit now! KingDo just needs to update the illustrations is all. Good company.

Excellent replacement for my original Microsoft power supply for my Surface Pro. The unit came with a very nice carry pouch too, which is useful when I take the Surface to meetings...it always looks nice but then pulling that tangled rollup of a charger with wires ruins the effect. Keeping them in the pouch (which is a nice, dark blue, quality looking item) has already provided compliments from clients. This model has the USB slot on the brick just like the Microsoft original, and I've used it to charge my phone while working on the Surface, which is handy too. (One less charger and socket to hunt for when out.) Will see if the magnetic charger end lasts (my original one fell apart and died hence this purchase), but so far seems robust and good quality.
