Really fits and great quality

I package bulk foods for distribution at our church twice-monthly food bank. Because we distribute to about 80 families, it requires a lot of food storage packaging for perishable and frozen items. I have used the manufacturer's brand as well as a couple of other brands and have found this product to be the very best: fits in the Foodsaver sealer; no wrinkles so it seals the first time; thick enough to handle jagged edges; and very cost effective. I'll be back!!

High quality and reliable

Just finished packaging 40 pounds of ground venison with these bags, and I couldn't be happier. I did about 40 separate packages, and I didn't have one lose its seal which did happen with the Food Saver brand bags that I had previously purchased. These bags are also thicker which makes me more confident that it will keep freezer burn off the meat better than other brands I have used. As many people have mentioned, the roll doesn't quite fit in my Food Saver vacuum sealer, but it did once I used some of the roll up. It wasn't an inconvenience at all. I like this product so much that I just bought another set of 4 of the smaller width bags.

I am impressed

These are really nice vac bags and they fit my FoodSaver perfectly, no trimming, no making some bags to make the roll smaller, they fit right ot of the package the way they were. As a heads up, my FoodSaver is the model that lays flat. I do not know if they would fit the model that stands up as the roll compartment may be smaller, I just don't know. I paid full price........try them you'll like-em!

These are great!

As excited as I was to get my food saver, I was a bit apprehensive about the cost of bags... then I remembered that Amazon has everything and knew there had to be a better alternative. Being on the frugal side, I obviously wanted more roll for my buck...so of course the first rolls I bought were too big to fit in my machine. Not fun. Then I found these rolls. What a game changer! (little things excite me). It was nice to open up the pack, plop one of these bad boys right on in there and get right to my vacuum sealing adventures. I've only used a bit so far, but it sure feels nice and sturdy; no holes, no air loss, etc. I'd feel comfortable using these bags for pretty much anything!

Maybe just a little bit too much of a good thing

Maybe just a little bit too much of a good thing. I was able to manage to get these into the food saver but I can't agree they fit. After making a few bags they now fit fine. I'm giving them 5 stars because I just can't fault a company that is giving me more than I expected. Other than they extra material, the product itself seems great. Just about the same as the original material, seems just as sturdy and able to hold the seal just as well as the original stock.

Wow! Amazing product. Higher quality than name brand.

I had bought a new food saver machine and was unhappy with the price for the refills. I searched amazon and found more alternative options than I expected. I researched for hours (cause that’s what I do lol) and decided to buy this one based off of reviews and value. I received the package early and immediately installed one roll into the food saver. I had read some reviews stating that it wouldn’t fit. I had not problem at all. I started with okra that I had recently cut out of my garden and it sealed with no problem. The plastic is very thick and sturdy. I then tried it on beef and poultry that I bought on sale. Worked perfectly. Months later when I pulled some okra and hamburger meat out of the freezer it looked as fresh as when I first sealed it in these bags. No freezer burn, held the seal nicely. Will only be buying these bags in the future.

Great Vacuum Sealer Bag Material!!!

Being half the price of the Food Saver brand material, it was a no-brainer to try these out. I just had the chance to use them this past weekend as one of the local grocery stores had New York strip steaks for $3.97/pound. I must have vacuum sealed 50 steaks this past Sunday and only had a single failure (due to operator error, not the material). These bags feel thicker than the material that came with my Food Saver (model FM2435-ECR). Had no problems sealing this material and my sealer was able to easily suck all the air out. I will definitely be switching to this brand to reduce the overall cost of long term food storage. I've had steaks that were vacuum sealed for three years and they still tasted fresh. Using a vacuum sealer is more expensive on the front end but saves lots of money on the back end because you don't lose any food to freezer burn. I'd recommend this bag material to everyone. Works as good as the name brand stuff but costs half the price. Win-win!!!

Very good bags, not junk like some other ones...

I have a large amount of "Universal" food saver bags that I purchased from Amazon a while back, and are the WORST bags I ever purchased. So I hoped with these costing a bit more and the fact I could return these if they were crap like the last ones, I gave these a shot. First, these are high quality, heavy duty bags, they hold a seal and don't leak, and will fit in the storage compartment in the Foodsaver. I am VERY happy with these and will defiantly buy these again when the time comes.

Heavy Duty & Marked Guides

Great product over-all. Most cost effective as well for smaller, household packages. Edges of the bag material are marked with 2" intervals to help you keep free-hand cuts-to-length straight. Not all bags have this feature, the same with the one edge being printed solid white to contrast your sharpie-marking if you like to label and/or date your bags. Holds up perfectly to sous vide warming. If you vac-seal your foods, this is the right stuff for the money!

Better than the ones that came with the machine.

My wife complained of the high local prices of replacement bags for her vacuum pack food saver. We ordered both sizes of the new bags and were pleasantly surprised with them. They fit in the machine, even with the larger size. My wife says they are of superior quality, and I know the price is much better. We plan to use no other bags but these in the future.
