Amazing results!!

Surprisingly this was super easy to do and fun!! The results were awesome, I was amazed how beautiful it came out. It's great that it comes with supplies to do two finished products. I did both kits on my son's feet. The first one came out awesome but has a few details that I wanted more perfect, so I tried the 2nd one... it is amazing how you can see every little crease and detail of his foot/ankle. I will be purchasing this again to try his hands! I would 100% recommend this, it is one of my favorite purchases I've made and I will treasure forever!

Works so well and so easy!

This worked so well and I am so glad I did it! I love that I have preserved those precious little hands and feet! make sure you use warm water, it helps with calming baby and setting the mold quicker so that baby has less time that they are upset. When you pour the plaster in the mold as long as you tap it very well and pour according to directions, you should limit the amount of bubbles that show! Great purchase!

Works out well on sleeping infant

It worked out well once we realized that a the baby should probably be asleep to create the mold. He freaked out soooo bad it ended up messing up the mold beyond repair and we had to buy another casting set. In the end it turned out perfect!

I've already bought a second box

I love it! I've already bought a second box. I'm so happy I went with the pearl. It looks great. Tip: be sure and follow the directions. The plaster/mold hardens quick.

Great Keepsake and Gift Item!

I purchased this product to make a cast of my dog's paw and leg. I am glad there were two sets of supplies, because the first one did not turn out as I'd hoped. We waited a few days and tried again, and the second cast turned out much better! The only things I am unhappy with could have been avoided by me reading and following the directions, which I admit I didn't as closely as I should have. Either way, the cast turned out beautifully and captured an amazing amount of detail. I could not be more impressed with this product! Also, I should also make it known this is not the first time I have bought a Luna Bean Casting Kit. I also bought one for one of my friends as an engagement gift! These casting kits make a wonderful and thoughtful gift that will be treasured for a lifetime!

Kit includes paint to give product desired finish

I used the product to make a casting of my newborn daughter’s foot. I like how it includes two packages, so you could use one for a hand (as well as a foot) or both feet, or both hands... An important thing to mention is that the material used for the actual casting is like a plaster of Paris and it is that white color. The manufacturer includes paint in the kit which is used to give the product the colored look of the final product (I chose the pearl color). It was pretty simple and not very labor intensive... if you do have a newborn though, this is definitely a two person project (unless your baby is super chill)... bc even though it sets up quick, you can’t really tend to the baby (if they’re fussy) and complete all the steps in the required time frame needed.

Very Easy and it works!!

Very easy to use!! My little one (3 months) moved a little bit, but stopped as he felt the plaster hardening. The plaster is rubbery so it did not hurt little one at all. My husband was holding him, making him laugh as I was counting the seconds. Foot and hand came out awesome! I would agree to make sure to have someone holding your little one, so you can work the plaster w/hand and/or foot. The process from plaster to casting does not take long either. I let the hand and foot cast air dry for the full 7 days and glazed it within 30 mins. Once glazed, it looked great! Every detail of the wrinkles of the skin and nails showed...I would use this product again!!

Don't hesititate to get this. It works great and I couldn't be happier. I casted my daughters foot and hand at 6 weeks and my sons as well.. it's amazing to look back on how tiny they were. It gets every detail, every little wrinkle. I put my daughters in a shadow box with her hospital things.

Easy, clear instructions for a great keepsake

I made a cast of my daughter's foot at 4 months and it came out wonderfully. Beware, the hand/foot being used needs to be still for about 45 seconds so I recommend waiting for a nap and finding a comfortable position to hold your baby for that amount of time first. The bust takes a few days to dry, but the wait is worth it. The pearl finish is a nice aesthetic. Highly recommended.
