• Harsh Open World: Using the power of PlayStation 4 and Unreal Engine 4, Days Gone offers an incredibly realistic and detailed open world experience. But be careful— day and night cycles, all affect gameplay and enemy behavior
  • Brutal Sandbox Combat: Perfect your gameplay with an endless combination of strategy and play in every situation. Craft customized items using pieces and parts found in the field, from brutal melee weapons to traps and more
  • Compelling Story: At its core, Days Gone is about survivors and what makes them human: desperation, loss, madness, betrayal, friendship, brotherhood, regret, love— and hope. It’s about how hope never dies
  • Play as Deacon St. John, a bounty hunter facing a brutal struggle for survival while searching for a reason to live

Note: to the one star review complaining about melee not working, the tutorial was very clear. You need to press on the joystick in the DIRECTION the enemy you want to hit is, and then press R2 at the same time. And do not spam the r2 button or you will take unnecessary damage. You need to time your swings appropriately. I can't believe you gave the game one star because you failed to grasp such a simple mechanic. Player incompetence has no place in a review and it should never be the reason you give it one star. Hate voting like that is just sad and pathetic and it turns potential customers away from what is one of the best zombie games in the genre. 'Days Gone' is an EXCELLENT apocalyptic thriller that feels like an amalgam of 'The Last of Us,' 'Mad Max,' and a small dash of 'Army of Two.' I received my Amazon preorder early yesterday morning and in the first day alone dumped over six hours into it. It's typical 'sony exclusive' quality ala 'Uncharted' series or 'The Order 1886.' Days Gone is a highly cinematic third person shooter with a pulse pounding narrative and engrossing character development. The hordes of Freakers are a sight to behold and the end-times 'Rest in Peace's cult aka Rippers are a nefarious entity that comes straight out of a Charlie Manson handbook. I can't praise the game enough, or it's seamless blend of roleplaying and shooter mechanics. The upgrade systems guarantee a varied number of paths that you can take your character on and the Oregonian high-desert setting is stunning in its own right, oozing with deadly charm and untold adventure. Days Gone is, so far, one of the best in the zombie genre. Fans of Dying Light and The Last of Us will LOVE Days Gone. It gets a solid 9/10 in my book.

Really enjoying the game so far! Gorgeous graphics and a great them (if you enjoy the post apocalypse theme). If you were hyped for the game you will not be let down.

This game reminds me of Mad Max, except the character's name is Deacon. I know there were no zombies in Mad Max, but the characters are defenitely similar. I hear people saying that it is not the same calibar as Uncharted or The Last of Us, but I disagree. I can tell you it is EPIC and will be remembered at least by me as being one of the most own PS4 titles. I like it that you can loot everywhere, even cars in the middle of nowhere. The weapons are really well done. Sometimes you may run out of ammunition and will have to use your knife. The bike has to be refueled and repaired or you will have to walk. It can also be upgraded. This a long game and there is TONS to do. I hope someone finds this review helpful and everyone enjoys the game as much as I do.

I pre ordered this game and after seeing a bunch of reviewers call it a "dud" and give it poor scores, my hopes were instantly smashed. But I received the game on time, got off work and popped it in. I played for hours, the whole time saying to myself "were they playing the same game I am"? This game is great, don't listen to the idiots who get all of their games and consoles for free....they know nothing. If you watched gameplay and thought "this looks like a good game"...you are correct. If you like a Horizon Zero Dawn meets Last of Us type of game, you will like this.

This game was bought for my husband, he likes games like God of war and tomb rider. Games that are complex, where you have to look around, search for clues and be aware of your surroundings. This game gives you all of that, it has been awesome seeing him play, its like a scary movie where you are the main character. The graphic are in my opinion a 4 star rating not too bad but not excellent. The sound, action and the drama has been a 5 star rating in my opinion. We have not had any glitches yet and hopefully we don't get any.

At first I didn't know what it was? I just thought to my self that's some creepy music. I found out real quick what that sound means. Lol. Scared the poop out of me. I drove right into a horde cause it was dark, my light was off and I was flying. This game is great. Yeah, it has a few bugs but it's an open world and this is their first one I believe. The bugs I had were minor. Had a hint screen pop-up repeatedly and the sound cut out on me a few times. Had to restart the game. They've been cranking out patches like crazy though. So at least they're dedicated to making it better and more stable. No issues since the last patch. You can tell a lot of love went into this game and I hope it sells well because we need more devs taking risks and brand new IPs. Good job!

I pre-ordered this game back in February and was lookin forward to it since it’s announcement. The days leading up to its public release, a bunch of not-so-good reviews surfaced. They almost pushed me to cancel my pre-order but I’m so glad I didn’t. Lets start this off by saying that I haven’t really been to keen on open world games so I wasn’t facing open-world burnout. As someone who enjoyed Sons of Anarchy I can say I love the characters and their resemblance. I felt attached to them and wanted to learn their stories. The gameplay is extremely enjoyable and the variety of weapons is enough to not get sick of tearing apart packs of freakers. The human enemies deal quite a bit of damage so you really need to choose your strategies smart and carefully — don’t forget to look out for traps. Crafting weapons is a blast and there’s so many varieties that keep the melee shining throughout the game. Building reputation of factions allows you to unlock a more powerful arsenal and upgrades to improve your ride. I’ve been playing for 8 hours and the only ‘bug’ I’ve encountered was one human enemie clip through the wall and punch me in the jaw. The reviewers unfortunately played on a pre-release version of the game but can safely say their concerns have been almost fully abolished by the latest update. I really believe the voice acting and characters really shine despite what has been said about ‘lifeless’ npc’s in the first part of the game. I haven’t encountered a moment that has failed to immerse me in the gameplay. I have 0 regrets on my choice of burning $60.00 on this game. For those who are choosing to wait for a price drop I can say it’s a day one purchase but for those who can’t, give this game a chance when it meets your budget. This game is solid.

I like it a lot since I've been waiting for another game like " the last of us " . The amazon ratings are for the story line and game play not about a glitch . Pretty much every game has some sort of glitch . You have to be in the right spot to experience a glitch in any game . I can say the glitch didn't happen in my game play . It's not " the last of us " but very similar . I'm liking it a lot .
