Great drill at an even better price!

So i am updating this review and my rating for this item for two reasons. The company cares enough about their consumer that when they revamped the drill, addressing the reasons i had for not liking it, they contacted me. They asked me if i was willing to try the newer version at a deeply discounted price. I find this care for customer satisfaction very refreshing! This revamped drill is great! Nice cord length, rests nicely in the hand, minimal vibration even at the faster rpms. It doesn't heat up with use and is very quiet. As a professional nail artist i am happy to add this to my list of favorite and recommended tools.

Good drill for first time users!

Get into this!!! First time working with nail products and this drill helps me sooooo sooo much. Yes I have red the reviews and the drill works perfectly fine! There’s a warranty with this drill so you can get a new drill if yours was infected!

So glad I ordered this

It arrived today and I could not wait to try it out. I gave myself a gel manicure two days ago. The metal tips are for fine tuning while the brown sanding ends powered through the gel soak off nail polish I had on. That left the surface rough Nd the metal ends smoothed out the finish. This little tool packs some punch. It is light and easy to use. It is not cordless. The controls (on/off and veriable speed) are on the cord. Soooo much better than the silly battery operated one I got at Target. That one is headed for the trash! It is also very quiet. I might even be able to use this for my dog.

Not sturdy

I bought this drill in August and it worked fine until the port where the cord goes in was pushed into the drill itself while I was filing my nails. Update: I contacted MelodySusie and informed them via email about the file/drill and the customer service rep Laura was of great help and service. I was offered a replacement one free of charge. Hoping I don't have any problems with the new one...

It’s legit! The quality, everything!

I was a little iffy on buying this electric file but now that I have received it and used it I love it. The main reason I decided on getting an electric file was to give my nails a cleaned up, more salon look after I use dip powder on them. This product really helped me achieve that. I can easily control the file around my cuticles line. I honestly really do love it.

I love it

I have had many nails drills in the past (battery operated) but this is by far the best one I've ever owned! I love this handy little drill. The only negative I can think of is the cord is slightly short. Also if you don't have a USB plug you're SOL since it doesn't come with one but fortunately I have many of them. For the price this is a great nail drill with all the bits you need. It even comes with a nail buffer that works great! It also comes with a nail brush and cuticle clippers that are very well made. My favorite part of this drill is that it has a speed option. You can set it lower to drill your real nails (so that you don't drill too much and hurt yourself) or you can set it higher to drill acrylic nails. I love this drill and I highly recommend it!

Excellent value. Well-made!

Retired salon owner here. Still love to have my nails done. However sometimes I find it necessary to do my nails myself. So I bought this portable electric drill. I couldn’t be more pleased. Very solidly built. Nice weight in the hand. Has excellent rotational power. I don’t need heavy duty sanding as I use the dip acrylics on my nails. However the drill bits are perfect for smoothing the edges by the cuticles, sanding under the free-edge and sanding the tops of the nails if needed. Comes with extra sandpaper slipons for heavier sanding and shaping. Very pleased with this purchase. Delivered promptly and excellent packaging....

Very pleased!

I do my own gel nails at home. Unfortunately, taking off gel polish requires patience if you don't want to damage your nails, and I dread the amount of time it takes. I purchased this drill hoping that I could sand away the top layers of the gel polish and get the remaining polish to soak off quicker. I am happy to say that it exceeded my expectations!! I used the sander carefully, trying not to sand away any of my natural nail. I then soaked my nails for 3 minutes in a dish of acetone, and the polish came right off! I am sold! This turned a 30 minute process into a 10 minute one. It also came with a ton of sander refills. I am a very happy customer, and I will probably start changing my gel polish more frequently because the removal step is so much easier.

Perfect for LIGHT DUTY ONLY!

Perfect for LIGHT DUTY filing. The bits included are so smooth that they don't work very well. You can separately purchase Diamond Drill Bits that fit this drill which sand a lot faster. Again, this is a light-duty drill meaning personal use and if you press too hard it gets bogged down and the drill bit stops. It's not powerful enough for professional use. It by no way can be used in a professional nail salon. The pros are that it's very lightweight and the speed is adjustable.
