This is a dandy little frozen treat maker. The small capacity is perfect tor an individual or a couple. It makes a frozen treat in about 40 minutes.

I bought this to use in my small, solar powered travel trailer. The freezer is tiny in my trailer and paying $6 for a pint of ice cream is ridiculous plus I am often boondocking far from the store. This little ice cream maker is perfect for small batches. I use it with an inverter connected to my batteries and it hardly made a dent in the voltage. For a batch using refrigerated ingredients, it took about 50 minutes set on the hard setting to get the perfect consistency. I will be keeping ingredients on hand in the future to make more. Evaporated milk, canned and dried fruits and nuts, boxes of Trader Joe's whipping cream will become a permanent part of my camping pantry. I used some Greek yogurt in a batch of peach frozen yogurt and it was wonderful. Even though the liner isn't removable, the unit is small enough to make it easy to clean.

Great little machine. No ice/salt. No bowl to take up freezer space. I made sugar-free chocolate pudding with 1/2 and 1/2, added 3 heaping tablespoons of cocoa powder, and a heaping scoop of protein/collagen powder and 1/4 cup stevia/monk fruit. Added 1 cup full fat unflavored Greek yogurt. Put half of the mixture in machine for about 1 hour 10 min. Put that in freezer and made the second half right away. No waiting for bowls to freeze. Made the BEST sugar-free, high protein, chocolate frozen yogurt ever! Tried the same recipe with vanilla pudding mix using vanilla bean paste. I am in love with this machine. Best Valentine’s gift ever! To clean I wiped the top with damp cloth, used a really wet cloth on inside, the rinsed with wet cloth and dried well. Don’t let it sit and harden! Clean immediately.

Very pleased! I can't have dairy and must use a non-dairy milk. The hard freeze cycle got too hard and icy, but I tried another batch on the soft cycle and it was perfect.

It's a winner, and for this price works extremely well for one who'd just as well pass up on all those "unpronouncables". Very little to the process. Just place the metal container with the paddle inside in the freezer for a couple of hours and start up the machine for cool down 10 minutes in advance of the ice cream mix being added. It takes 30-35 minutes for my recipe to complete, and the ice cream comes out light, medium-firm, and ready to eat or place in containers for more solid freezing. My only critique would be the weight, but, then again, burning a few calories prior to my ice cream snack will never hurt! :) Highly recommend this one.

My husband had only had homemade ice cream once before. And he wasn't a fan. So when I told him I wanted to get an ice cream machine, he wasn't too enthusiastic about it 🤣. And I had never tried homemade ice cream before. But when we made I've cream with this, we both loved it. We love the convenience of being able to make ice cream whenever we want, without having to take up any extra space in our tiny freezer. And we love being able to make lactose free ice cream for our lactose intolerant toddler, and can also make vegan ice cream for my sister. My husband likes the ice cream so much more than store bought ice cream. He says it's creamier and tastier, and he feels he can eat a lot more of it compared to store bought, and he can never manage to put down the tub of ice cream we made because it's so good 😂 My only problem with it is the price. I bought it at $135, but I saw some comments say they got it for $85? So I don't get why the price jumped so high. I am happy with the actual machine though, and I've made about 5-6 batches of ice cream in the past week.

After much reading and research I bought this ice cream maker. I love it. No idea why the other color is 20-30 dollars more in price or why some STORES have it on the shelf for 140.00 but I guess thats how the game is played ... I do online surveys at a few places and rolled my points into Amazon rewards so I only paid 35.00 out of the list of 80.00. My first use wasnt glamorous as it was at least 100 degrees (no AC) when I made this and the 40 mins was just enough to make it a wet sloppy mess.... once in the freezer it froze well. The consecutive attempts have all been flawless... ambient room temps in mid 80's... turned unit on while preparing mixture and set the timer for 55 mins... its not scoopable soft serve like for a cone but suits me well for the freezer cups and I will eat the last scoop off the bottom which really is cone soft serve. If I would turn it on for the full 10 mins before use and set timer for the hour the result would be scoopable delight I dont because I need to get product into storage cups for the freezer. Noise level is negligible. Does throw off some consistently warm air... vents do need to be clear. Clean up is easy-peasy Except for the rubber ring surrounding the fixed freezer bowl - that has allowed seepage and I had to cradle unit by sink while attempting to clean not a delight as unit is substantial. I am reaching out to the company to see if this is an issue because the rubber ring is not sealing. Last night I made 2 batches back-to-back and my second batch took less time to reach scoopable consistency as expected.

I've had it for about a month now so confident enough to rate it now. I have to say this is the coolest little icecream maker ever. As others have said, it does make a small batch so would not be a good fit for family of 4 but for 2 people, it is perfect! I have learned a couple of tricks that I will pass on: 1) be sure to mix your stuff in advance and chill it overnight. We use a half gallon tuperware to hold our mixture and it is enough to make several batches of tasty icecream. 2) when the icecream maker stops because it is too thick to stir, pull out the plastic stir thing and re-install the lid. The chiller will keep running and it works great to finish hardening up the icecream. 3)don't mix in the toppings while running, wait till it stops stirring and mix them in by hand. If you dump them in while stirring, it will quickly cause the machine to stop due to being harder to stir. With a small batch like this, it is super easy to mix in the toppings by hand. This machine makes enough icecream for two normal coffee cup sized portions. If you use icecream cones, it is enough for 4 small cones or 2 of the large waffle cones really loaded up. I will also say you have to experiment on what ingredients work best. For us, we use a mix of whole milk, half and half and a small amount of heavy whipping cream. We also add sugar and real vanilla to the batch. Then we refrigerate the mixture and have it ready to go. When we pour it in the maker, we add things like strawberry or banana or whatever and let me tell you the icecream is really tasty! We especially like that we can control the amount of sugar we add. Doing it as I describe, a batch will be ready in 1 hour and my personal favorite is vanilla with butterfinger toppings mixed in. My wife likes the banana best although we both like just about all the icecream we have made. Cleanup is a snap and it is small so stores easily. I would say we probably have icecream 2-3 times per week and are so happy we finally broke down and got our own icecream maker. We haven't been to the icecream store a single time since we got it. .No neep at all when we can make whatever we want right here at home!

I LOVE this thing. I have had other ice cream makers that had to keep the inner container in the freezer and this one beats them in every way. I always had a problem scraping the ice cream off the sides of the container with the other ones but this one has a thin little bucket type container and the sides are easy to scrape clean. Very easy to use and very easy clean up. I always let the machine run empty for 10 or 15 minutes while I'm mixing up the necessary ingredients and it takes 40 or 50 minutes to finish freezing to a soft consistency. I just fill my containers and put them in the freezer for a few hours and I have great homemade ice cream for my evening snack. Love it. The price is also fantastic for an ice cream freezer with it's own compressor.

I already make my own homemade yogurt so I purchased this to kick it up a notch & start turning my homemade yogurt into frozen bliss! This little machine work perfectly. I usually turn the machine on to the “hard” setting 10-30 min prior to pouring in the yogurt so the inside bowl has time to pre-chill before I add my yogurt. Then let it run with the yogurt in the bowl for approximately 40-60 min to thicken. Then stop the machine, remove the paddle, leaving the by-now “frozen” yogurt in the bowl, turn the machine back on “hard” mode, sans paddle, until it reaches my desired state of hard/thickness. Usually about another 30-40 min later & it’s ready to eat! Just the way I like it. Clean up is a snap too - rinse out, wipe & put away. So simple. Thank you Mr Freeze for making an uncomplicated appliance that’s sturdy built & super fun to use! Highly, highly recommend!!!
