I just set it up yesterday but there is a lot to like about this device. I bought it to replace a 10+ year old Radio Shack wireless temperature unit, mainly used to know what the outside temperature are (the wireless transmission stopped working). The AcuRite 75077 replaced this AND another old large atomic clock, and I like having 1 device replace 2. The setup could not be easier (especially after reading reviews of difficulty with other brands)- pop in batteries and set base and remote to same channel. Setting the clock requires pushing some buttons on the back while looking at the front, but is manageable. I care less about the forecasting (which is based on pressure measurement) I use it mainly to know the temperature differences between inside and outside. I'd also like to commend packaging that does not include industrial strength shrink wrap or much plastic at att- you just spin off the two holder screws and pull out the remote from the top fold of the box.

We love this weather forecaster. It is easy to set up and read, and the 12-24 hour prediction is always on. If it says it will rain, it will, even if its just a few sprinkles. It would let us know if it would snow this winter when our local weather wasn't sure if it would or not. We like I so much, we purchased another one for a family member. Three months later and still working like it should.

The product arrived in good shape and was easy to set up. One set up it works well. This review is for the black-and-white model. I have no problem reading the numbers as some other reviewers have stated. Have only had it for about two months so I can’t attest to how long the batteries last. So far I like it very well. It is large enough that you couldn’t see it easily from across the room. Seems to be very accurate. One thing I have noticed also is that you cannot depend on the forecast. But I didn’t expect to.

This is a pretty cool weather reporting device. It's accurate and was easy to setup. I especially like the active weather prediction feature. The LCD display indicates sunshine, clouds, partly cloudy, snow, etc. using an animation feature. The LCD display is like most, a bit faint in visibility, but acceptable. I'm very pleased with the display and at an attractive price point.

This waeather station arrived quickly and in good condition. It would have seemed to make more sense to place the plastic air bag below the weather station box (when the label is facing up), but it arrived fine just the same. I really wanted a device for the outdoor and indoor temperture as wel as the day and date and indoor temperture which this unit does very well. With so much screen space the information could have been designed a bit larger, but this works fine for my needs. This unit Also "predicts" the upcoming weather with various graphics (rain, sun, snow, etc.) Similar models in the stores cost $20 more, when they had something in stock that was similar. I researched this unit a fair amount both in person and online. This unit uses blacck letter/numbers against a gray background and is powered by AA batteries ONLY. There is no power adaptor to plug in. I hang mine o the wall but there is a swing out stand available on the back of the unit. The buttons on the back are easy to access without opening the back of the unit. The buttons are NOT recessed like my previous unit from another manufacturer. (Why make the buttons hard to press everytime you have to replace the batteries?) These setup buttons are both raised and nice and wide for a finger, and are easy to press. Four buttons adjust the settings, up, down and Temp F/C. There is also a "recessed" button to start syncing the signal to to home clock transmitter (I would guess). This review is for the AcuRite Model 75077A3. I would buy again.

My old unit by another brand failed after about a year or so of service. it was OK.... but the service time was not acceptable and it had been the second time that same model failed. I was determined to find a good set with, hopefully, larger numbers for these tired old eyes. After much searching and reading many reviews ( Thanks to all of you who post truthful reviews!) I settled on this unit, crossed my fingers, and ordered it. In my hands in 2 days.... easy to set up and now after 2 weeks of use, it is precisely what we were looking for. The numbers are bold and legible from 10 feet away. The temperatures seem to be spot on based upon a comparison with a neighbor with a very expensive weather station. The big thing will be to see just how long it will last... but I am optimistic.

I love this unit! you have accurate (Atomic) time, and date. It gives you the future weather, current inside and out side temperature. (Also the high and low on each for the day.) I use Procell batteries and it runs a year if not longer per battery change. To change the battery is simple and no other difficult procedures to do,Its easy to read and don't take much room apx. 5X7. As long as I've had my unit they are a good price for the money.

We had been given a simpler AcuRite model a few years ago for Christmas, but the outside sensor hadn't been located in a very good place, and the sensor got water logged, and needed to be replaced. I decided to get this model to replace the whole unit, as it has more functions than our other one; date, time, and 12 hour forecast. It's really nice to be able to check at a glance and see if it's actually as warm out as it looks, or if it's actually quite cold, even though it's bright and sunny. The 12 hour forecast is really handy too, when it's showing you that those nice sunny skis are going to be changing to pain, or visa versa, that disappointing drizzly Saturday morning is suppose to change to sun and clouds. We really enjoy having the information right there whenever we want it, and knowing that the temp., humidity, and forecast are for our yard, and not having to decide if the news forecast for the next county, also applies to us

I have several weather center throughout my house from different manufactures including AcuRite, La Crosse, Oregon Scientific and Ambient Weather. My goal was to tell the temperature inside my barn from inside my house, so I needed one that went long range as well as through walls. My barn is an unobstructed 310 feet from the room where this weather station would sit. The signal needs to pass through the wall of a metal barn, and an exterior wall of a standard frame house. None of my current weather stations could do the job, so to Amazon I went. I purchased two weather stations at the same time hoping that one would work. The AcuRite 75077 Weather Forecaster with Jumbo Display in Monochrome is awesome. If all you want to know if the temperature inside and out, this weather forecaster is it!!! The numbers are large and easy to read, and the display is simple. But… even though it’s advertised as reaching 330 feet, it wouldn’t pick up the signal in the barn. The AcuRite 02007 Digital Weather Center is very difficult to read. I’m sure the screen color was designed to make it easy to read, but all it does is make it more difficult. The high and low numbers in the three forecast boxes on the bottom are completely unreadable. They’re too small, and there isn’t enough color contrast. If you plan to use the tabletop stand, be forewarned that it keeps the unit too upright making the display impossible to read. The display must be at eye level to be readable. If they angled the stand back a few degrees, it would be much better. While you can probably tell, I’m not a fan of the 02007 Weather Station weather station but I am keeping it because it is the ONLY weather station that reaches the barn with full signal. It is advertised as having a strong 433 MHz signal that penetrates walls and it is true. I mounted the unit on the wall at eye level to make it more readable so it does meet my goal. One more small nit about both units, the outdoor sensor doesn’t display the temperature. It should. All of my other sensors do and it makes it nice to be outside and tell the temperature without having to go back to the base.

I bought 2 of these to replace my Lacrosse Weather Direct stations that Lacrosse decided to no longer support with updated weather forecasts. The AcuRite 75077 Weather Stations provide the indoor and outdoor temperature and give a forecast for the next 12 to 24 hours. I liked the first 2 so much that I bought 2 more. I have all four of these weather stations connected to a single transmitter so I get the same outdoor temperature from several different rooms in the house. I've had 2 problems that were easy to correct. (1) One of the stations had a little difficulty connecting to the NIST to update the current time and date. After pressing the button on the back to make the connection, I had to temporarily relocate the clock so it would pick up the signal. After that, no more problems. (2) Another of the clocks picked up the wrong outdoor temperature. To fix it, I switched the A-B-C switch to a non-existent transmitter, then switch it back to the A position. It immediately picked up the correct outdoor temperature. To ensure correct outdoor transmitter temperatures and to get the longest battery life on the clocks, I installed lithium AA batteries on all the devices. Note that I still have 3 outdoor temperature transmitters that are not in use that I am keeping as backups in case a problem develops with the single transmitter currently installed. The indoor units are easily readable (if not dark) and have nice big lettering.
