Purchased two fake cameras and installed them above my front entrance. They looked so real I purchased another for the back yard (see photo). OK so here is the deal! You need to buy an electrical box (PVC) and cover. Screw the fake camera to the electrical box and then to the exterior wall. Locate it high enough as to prevent close inspection. I did not install the batteries. The photo on Amazon indicates the name printed on the outside of the camera. However, the three I received had no exterior markings, which was great as I was going to paint the name off. I purchased them mainly for dog walkers and litterers. Will they keep burglars out? I don’t know. Don’t want burglars? Don’t keep cash or jewelry in your home.

VERY convincing Camera, Easy to install, & a great value!

Swing and a *hit!* — This faux dome camera was easy to install, and does in fact look very real with its standardized form-factor, and visible red LED which flashes just above the "lens". The LED on the dome model is not as bright as the LED on the 'bullet' style fake cams (those are nuclear bright), but this is not an issue; the LED is perfectly visible from the perspective that it needs to be seen from. The camera assembly can be mounted in a variety of positions due to the rotating / swiveling Mount mechanism — plus the camera itself can be inserted into the body in 3 different positions of the 360-degree circle. Changing batteries is easy: you just grab the dome, rotate the cam assembly and the battery compartment (2x AA) is readily accessible. A "professional" burglar might see through the "real vs. fake" factor — but this camera (along with the professional-looking warning decal WILL encourage most bad guys to not take a chance, and to go elsewhere. Very good value here!

I actually real cameras installed all over the property and when I put this product next to my existing ones you can't tell the difference ... it look real and the blinking lights also helps... if you can't afford a real camera security system I highly recommend this product... and the installation is very simple anyone can do it

I Looks Real!

I needed a fake CCTV camera for outside of my rural barn, at least until I could pull ethernet cable and power to that corner location. ARMO and Amazon to the rescue! At 30' up, it looks completely real! I love it. ARMO and Amazon have earned my trust for future purchases-Thannk you!

Excellent deterrent.

There have been reports of "package thefts" in my area, so I was looking for something that might deter someone from taking anything off my front porch. The Armo Fake Security Camera was perfect. From the street and sidewalk, there is absolutely no way someone is going to be able to tell that the camera is a fake. Even up close it is fairly convincible. I installed it on my porch over my front door. It only took a few minutes. It is highly visible from my street and sidewalk. A thief looking to commit a crime of opportunity will definitely think twice. I did NOT install batteries. Most real security cameras have infrared LEDs or no LEDs at all. The blinking red light actually takes away from the camera's realistic appearance. For around $11, this is an excellent deterrent.

So this was the perfect solution!

It is all plastic, but it looks very realistic on the wall. And the red LED light makes it look even more real. I bought it for the small library where I work to hopefully keep people from ripping articles out of our daily newspapers and new magazines. So this was the perfect solution!

Decent for the price

Camera was easy to install. Looks real from a distance. I would think it would deter anyone that’s up to no good. Box says 2 AAA batteries but once you open the battery compartment, it’s axtually AA not AAA. I also have real cameras and they DO have the red light on them so don’t listen to people who says that makes them look fake cause my real ones have a red light on at all times.
