To start off this review, I’m a Technologist, a I.T. professional, and I admit I have a love for gadgets, but only “if it serves a functional purpose” as I must carry all of it with my mobile office. I can’t even begin to tell you how amazed I am at the Nexstand Laptop Stand. I use both a Dell XPS and a MacBook Pro for my day job, and right now, this stand has replaced the one that I used to use daily (Kavalan Portable Laptop Stand). What I love is when you first fold it out, the initial stock position, is this perfect vertical height for me, being 6’3” tall. Nothing drives me a little nutty, then having to look down at my laptop screen… even my desktop displays are at eye level for me. With this stand, not only do I have the vertical height right out of the gate, it’s super lightweight, well put together (for a plastic stand) and accommodates what I need it to do.

I have chronic neck pain and travel frequently for work. So I was looking for a traveler-friendly way to elevate my laptop. Also, I just couldn't see spending $80 for a Roost. Other than it taking 2 1/2 weeks to arrive, I have been very happy with my Nexstand. It's very sturdy and makes a huge difference. I'm able to work for much longer periods of time on my laptop with no neck pain. The only improvement I can suggest is placing some rubber grip tape on the bottom of the front skids. I. Can highly recommend this item.

It's basic, the quality isn't top notch...but it's affordable and it works as advertised. I gave it 5 stars because it's exactly what I expected after reading reviews online. It's basically a knock off version of the Roost which is 3x the price. I have a 2018 HP Spectre 15. Only downside is where my laptop touches the stand is directly on the rubber non-slid strips on the base of my laptop: the issue is the stand puts a tiny bit of pressure on those rubber strips and now they are moving out of their factory 'groove' where the stand touches. No big deal, just a little thing.

Helpful for ergonomics! I bought this to help my back from straining while looking at my computer for long periods of time. I have a small foldable stand for my laptop whilst traveling, but this is the one that i keep at home since it’s bigger and taller and a little more difficult to fold up quickly. It’s a great stand to use while using a Bluetooth keyboard. A little too high if you’re planning to type right onto your keyboard, unless you are standing at your desk. But i would suggest buying this instead of investing $50+ dollars on the more name brand alternative. This one does the trick just as well. After using this for a few months, my back/neck does not hurt while using a computer for an extended period of time!

There is ONE main reason I love this laptop stand over the Roost 2.0 (which I have and use all the time...) It goes MUCH lower. This is perfect when you want to elevate your laptop to a more ergonomic level, but still readily access the keyboard. At its lowest level it is PERFECT for that. It is a minuscule bit bulkier and a tiny bit less elegant than the Roost, but it works great so far! (I do wish there was a better option for holding differing thickness laptops than the removable - and easily lost clips.) It can still lift the laptop to basically as high a level as the Roost, but now I really only use the Roost when I'm carrying an external, extended keyboard and want my screen closer to eye-height, but my keyboard at table height. A client of mine purchased a bunch of these for her whole team who travel quite extensively and are working in a bunch of different environments and they are IN LOVE! You will be too!

I was on the market for a Roost laptop stand and saw this significantly cheaper alternative to the Roost stand. I believe Nexstand is also by Roost just branded under a different name and not made in America. This stand built wise is very nice. It is very strong and the materials is made of high quality. It is a bit longer and thicker compared to the Roost stand. I believe this is done so that the Nexstand can have more adjustable heights, which it does compared to the Roost stand. The nextstand has a total of 7 adjustable heights! In addition, the stand comes with adjustable hinges for thicker laptops. Compared to the Roost stand, the Nexstand it as comparable in terms of functionality. I highly recommend this stand for those who are taller than average. With the 7 adjustable heights it is more likely you will find the "perfect height" with this stand. PROS: +7 adjustable heights +Very durable and built of high quality material +Great for those who are tall CONS: +Thicker and longer, which makes it less portable

I work out of a WeWork about 3 days a week and travel up to a week a month at times. I picked up the Nexstand because it looked like a more affordable alternative to some of the other stands and the most flexible and portable. It's been awesome for my 13" Acer Chromebook (full metal chasis, so decently heavy). I have also used it with my macbook pro. It absolutely DOES THE JOB. It's lightweight, easy to stash in my backpack and pops up in a flash. Paired it with the Logitech K380 portable bluetooth keyboard (3 separate device memory functions) and a bluetooth mini mouse and I can work absolutely anywhere. I would call this a WeWork ESSENTIAL. Now most people in my location have these. Would I balance 100lbs on it? No. Does it do an admirable job of keeping my laptop at eye height and totally eliminating neck and back strain? Yes.

I love this thing! I was looking for a simple laptop stand to use my macbook air on my sit/stand desk, and this one is great. I adjust the height often since I use my desk at different heights for writing on a wacom tablet vs. using the keyboard & mouse, and it's so easy to adjust the height of this stand. I don't even take my macbook off anymore to adjust the height -- it's that easy & sturdy! I love how light it is and how small it folds down -- I'm looking forward to being able to take it to a coffee shop and set up a more ergonomic desk in less than a minute. I spent a good deal of time researching laptop stands before I bought this. I was looking at the Roost, and I'm so glad I went with the Nexstand. It has a bigger range of heights (up to 11 inches), which I needed, and, of course, it's cheaper. I highly recommend this stand!

Just what I needed in order to keep me from getting a neck cramp when using my laptop at cafes. The cafe tables force me to look down as I work on my laptop and now I can correct my posture and look straight ahead. I have a Macbook Pro 2015 and a Dell Inspiron 2 in 1 flip touch screen laptops and they fit nicely. It is well constructed and very stable. I like that fact that it folds up so thin and fits nicely in my backpack. I bought this because I saw some one else with it at the cafe. Then some one saw me and they ordered it as well. I should buy a bunch and post a for sale sign at the cafe..lol...

This stand is awesome. I was skeptical when I felt the weight was just a few ounces when taking it from the box. So easy, pull it from the bag and pop it up. Its great to have my laptop screen eye level. But don't think you can use the keyboard for long unless you can hold your arms in the air for a good amount of time. You'll want a wireless keyboard if you use the stand daily. On the airplane its good because your screen is higher and your not hunching over trying to see your laptop and get work done in the tight space of the seats. Everyone I know is getting this for their next birthday. I do like it that much. And it slips right into a computer bag or sleeve without issue.
