serves its purpose really good

Wow! Powerful Machines Enabling Digitization and Efficiency

We are a virtual company, but in our back offices there is much activity. The DocuMate 6440 has been an excellent addition to our offices, saving us a tremendous amount of time. We use the DocuMate to scan many types of paper (e.g. W-9s, proposals, contracts). It is important to note that we also scan different sizes and shapes (e.g. passports, credit cards, driver’s licenses, etc.). This is especially helpful with Government contracts. With multiple hub offices coast to coast, the DocuMate 6440 has allowed us to reorganize our paper processes for greater efficiency. These machines are truly a powerful addition to our local hub offices and from a corporate standpoint, very affordable. The performance of the DocuMate 6440 can not be overstated. Its ability to scan plastic ID cards through its automatic document feeder is just one example of how it saves us time and effort in our everyday work routine.

We were buried under mountains of shipping receipts, tracking and other day to day papers and we got the Documate 6440 to help go digital quickly and we couldn't be happier. The OCR and Visioneer software makes cataloging and finding things a breeze which is so helpful. Large scanning capacity and small footprint makes this a great addition to our company. Good product.

Super fast and great features!

I think this is a great scanner. I used the Documate 262 for years and decided to upgrade. My experience with the Xerox Documate scanners has been excellent. Software loads easily, and linked to my Acrobat 9.0 with ease. The on-board software is also great. Scans super fast and handles varying size media with ease. Efficient feed and deskew. Not sure why others rated this workhorse low - I think it's awesome!

So far, smooth, quiet, fast and efficient. The accompanying software makes scanning and OCR a breeze.Sorry I used an Epson does everything for scanning all these years. The Xerox is a small footprint, great scanner. B

Works even better than my documate 152

Works even better than my documate 152. Absolutely love this scanner. It is much faster and it is advanced in the way it saves my various sizes of paper, receipts, pictures, etc...
