incredible value!
Let's put it this way: I spent more on lunch today than I did on this flash. For the money, there is nothing remotely close to this thing. The construction is solid, it has nice features (like flash intensity) and unlike some other brands, the manual is coherent. I really love the swivel flash head (side to side and up and down). I may buy another to use as a slave. Yes, it requires batteries, but at this price, who cares? BTW, I use mine with a Canon 5D Mark II.

Good Flash which doesn't cost you an arm and a leg!
This is a fantastic product. My present Camera is Pentax K-3ii. This one comes without built-in flash and I wanted to buy an external flash for occasional use. The good thing is it is about 1/3rd the cost of lowest costing Pentax I saw on Amazon. The only thing which I didn't like is the lid/cap of the battery compartment, rest is good and it will last at least 2 summers. Check out this flash in action on youtube. Just search for this model number on youtube!

Impressive - at least to a novice!
I've had quite a variety of digital cameras over the years but recently bought the first one that supported an external flash. After having the camera for a few days I decided I would try this flash as it was a decent value and had decent reviews. Now, I am by no means a photographer. I have worked with digital cameras since some of the very early consumer grade cameras became available (think 320x240 resolution - LOL) but I do not claim to fully understand all of the photography jargon or most of the settings on my camera. This unit attached to my camera easily. I slide on firm but that may loosen up a bit after I use it more. As a "techie" I generally ignore the manuals and this was no exception. The device is simply to use and simple to adjust. My first picture turned into a total white-out because the flash is THAT BRIGHT. By adjusting the intensity a bit and flipping the flash so it was at a 45degree angle, my next picture and all of the ones since have turned out very well. Tonight I took my camera outside and took some pictures zoomed into a tree about 15-20 ft away and at an angle. It was after dark and I purposely turned all other exterior lights off just to see how the flash performed. Without any problem I can see the details in the leaves on the tree like I was standing over a leaf in broad daylight. I would certainly recommend this flash for anyone who like me is just getting started with this level of photography.

Work Great and Fit My Budget
I have a Nikon D3400 and this flash is a wonderful addition to my photography learning process! I have a small budget so the price is amazing! It works fine for my level of knowledge. I don't have any advanced lighting needs so the lack of TTL is not an issue for me. I can adjust the amount of light on the unit itself and for now that works fine. The pivot of the top is excellent, can go almost anywhere I want to have the flash or bounce the light. The batteries last through several hundred photos. I use Amazon Basics rechargeable batteries. I have tried the off camera flash, but so far it only syncs up fast enough about 1/3 of the time. When it flashes at the right time it is awesome, and I'm sure it's a matter of more experimentation to get it right. I might not have the settings on the camera shutter speed or flash right yet to get it to fire off every time. I have watched a few videos that do say that off camera infrared flash simply isn't that reliable so I'm not convinced it's a problem with this inexpensive flash.

A great value flash
This flash gets the job done well. Very adjustable and does well with battery drain. It WILL NOT trigger any screen adjustment/illumination on your viewfinder so be aware that shots in low light will come out significantly lighter than what you see on on the display before taking the picture. As a macro photographer this makes taking pictures with tiny aperture difficult but I work around it by leaving the pop up flash on my sony a6000 open and facing up. The picture attached was taken on a cloudy day with aperture all the way down to 12. Impressive and nice light i.m.o

Works Great- You need GOOD batteries. Not knock-offs.
This would have been perfect for me,as a novice photo dude, if it held together. But with very few uses it already froze up on me and I'm returning for a refund. I would normally just replace it and try again but this is my only flash. So I'm putting some extra funds into a higher quality flash. Seems like a memory malfunction, of sorts. Price and simplicity are the pro's. ***UPDATE*** Turns out that even though the batteries worked initially, those type were 'too cheap' for the flash; even new. Replaced with DURACELL and it worked again and I haven't had a problem since. I'm very happy because this was inexpensive and did exactly what I needed.

Great Flash, Great Features, I would purchase again.
I just recently purchased my 1st DSLR and started getting into photography, so this was my first external flash - but I am happy to say that it was exactly what I was looking for. This speedlite had all of the features I was looking for; 90* vertical movement, 270* horizontal movement, built-in difussor + bounce card, and a good amount of flash-level settings (8 different settings). In my opinion, this is a very bright speedlite - even the lowest setting is a little too bright for some settings, but for this excellent price-point, I will just purchase a softbox diffusor for shots that I only need enough light to "fill in." Bottom Line: Great Flash, Great Features, I would purchase again.

Can't be beaten for price
Fantastic way to experiment with off-camera flash. Fully manual control - but easily adjustable in from 1/128 power to 1/1 power in 1 F-stop increments. It's not clear in the description, but this flash is triggered optically, not "wirelessly" - there is no radio control and it does not connect to your DSLR or any other camera except when mounted directly in the hotshoe. Even then, this connection only tells the flash when to fire. There is no TTL (Through The Lens) metering. In S1 and S2 mode, this flash will only fire in sync with your on-camera flash. There is no guide number or sync speed listed, but from my tests it is quite powerful. The power, together with the ability to remote fire, rotate, bounce and diffuse the flash is a great upgrade over any built-in flash. Included stand has a tripod mount which is very useful. Optical trigger is very sensitive and has a wide catchment area, meaning the flash does not have to be line-of-sight with the flash on your camera to trigger. You can turn down your on-camera flash or diffuse it heavily and this unit will still fire. The only downside to this unit is it's lack of TTL metering (meaning it has to be manually adjusted) and radio wireless control (meaning you have to fire your on-camera flash to trigger it remotely). However no flash at this price point has those features. This is unbeatable for the money.

Versatile, durable, professional results.
This flash actually produce better results than the built in flash. Plus you can get creative and really make your photos pop. It will help you create professional quality results with very little effort. This is a must have for portrait photography. Your gonna love the results and your subjects will love how it accentuates there best features. Everyone who sees the results are surprised how it improves their appearance. Step up to the next level. Go for It. I am very happy with the results. Now I'm the person people call when they want their image captured. What next? Fashion Photography.
