Great, Sturdy, Well Made and Really Handy!

We needed a step stool for our small pantry - A little step stool was not high enough for us to reach the top shelves and a step ladder was too big to fit in the small room. This Delxo 3 Step Ladder was just right! It fits in the small room and we can reach the top shelves. The ladder is well made, folds and opens easily, has non-slip black pads on the steps and feet and doesn't rock when standing on it. The curved top handle is great for steadying oneself and also works great as a handle when the ladder is folded and being moved. We store it in the pantry against the wall and it is right there when we need it. Of course it also works great in other parts of the house to reach overhead lightbulbs that need changing and nails to hang pictures, etc. Some reviews said the pads were coming off and the steps bent under weight. We didn't find this to be true with the ladder we received. There is a weight restriction, of course, and you would have to be mindful of not only your weight but add on the weight of the item you are carrying while on the ladder. We find it great, sturdy, well made and really handy!

I wanted a real step stool after feeling insecure the last time I climbed on a kitchen chair and then used the counter top to reach the top cabinets. Reasons for the 5 stars: 1. The handle at the top is stable and makes it easy to descend without looking where you are walking. From working in healthcare I can say many folks fall while descending as they step backwards, or lose their balance. The handle decreases the chances of this happening. 2. When the step stool is opened / deployed (the base is very wide and stable) you can lean off to the side and the stairs do not veer at all. This is not the case with many step stools. 3. The rise between the stairs is a comfortable height similar to a stair case - not to shallow (this can be dangerous) and not to steep. It is large - if you have a small space to store this it may be a concern. All this and a good value. Thanks Amazon!

This is a wonderful ladder for a Senior because of the large steps

This is a wonderful ladder for a Senior because of the large steps...you can keep your entire foot on it without rocking on a smaller step, which makes it much easier to maintain your balance. And the handle is great. It is heavy as it is made of Steel and not aluminum...so that might be an issue lifting it to where you want to use it, but I am a senior and have not found this to be a problem. It is exactly what I needed for the issue I had in reaching my outdoor bird feeders. It came all wrapped in a strong box and came in perfect condition. Yes, I would buy this again and would recommend it to any Senior especially if needing to go up more than 1 step to accomplish your purpose.

Perfect size and weight for household chores

This ladder is the perfect size for me. I was using a two-step lighter weight ladder that had me just out of reach for the top shelf of my cupboards. The Delxo is very study and gets me to the right height without pulling out the larger ladder. The curved handle is well padded and provides a great grip for carrying the ladder when folded. A great asset in the kitchen!

Sturdy ladder that simplifies life

I researched a lot of ladders before purchasing this one. Although I am well below the weight limit, other step stools seemed flimsy and I wasn't confident to go up more than one step. This one has good solid steps that are wide enough to move around and make it convenient to use all three steps. Normally I store my step stool in the garage but this one is so handy I put in the closet by the kitchen because I am always pulling it out. It is almost life-changing to be able to reach all the top shelves in the kitchen with confidence, clean the stove hood, and change light bulbs without a fear of falling. I love the padded handle which gives extra support when climbing. It is lightweight enough to move around, folds easily, and is very solid. Great purchase!

A sturdy and stable 3-step ladder, with heavy duty weight rating.

This is a nice and sturdy step ladder!! I looked at a lot of step ladders, in stores and online, finally settling on this one. I needed a heavy duty step ladder with a high weight rating. This is perfect; it is even better than I expected. My deciding factors for this one were the extra wide steps, shape and cushioning of the handrail, and the angle of the latter base when open - this one has a wider "stance" than my second choice; Inbelieve that will make it more stable for use. I would like to have a four-step ladder, it they make one the same as this one!!

I can do anything with this step stool!

As you can see from the photos, I am a very large woman and because of that I had been saving up for a 300lb capacity step stool and finally was able to purchase one. This one, in fact! I finally have a step stool! It is very sturdy, and easy to move around with a very comfy grab bar.

PERFECT FOR MY RECOVERY

This is a great step stool. I asked the question how wide are the steps to Amazon questions and got different answers from previous purchasers which was very frustrating. I needed a stool that was tall and wide enough so I can use it to cook and sit on now and after my hip replacement. I fiqure why buy a bar stool I would never use it again and this stool I can use after for household chores. So, I have received it and the steps are exactly 15inches wide and the curve top gives plenty extra room to sit. It is defiantly wide enough and tall enough for what I need it for. After returning others I bought that were not wide or tall enough this certainly fits the bill. It is counter height and wide enough to sit on for a very long time until I can stand long enough and recooperate. This is going to work out very well so I don't have to invest in a medical step stool and then store it away a basement and never use it again. Perfect for my recovery so I can cook for myself!

Love this thing!

I LOVE how sturdy this thing is, I climb on and there is nothing shaky about it! I'm not sure why builders now make the top two shelves of kitchen cabinets inaccessible to anyone under 7 feet tall, but this has solved my 5'4" problems. It folds easily and it's easy to clean off when your kids somehow fling spaghetti sauce all over the kitchen. My youngest is a small 12 yr old and he can easily maneuver this, open it, use it, and then leave it random places instead of back where it belongs. The handle on top is great, padded, lots of room on the steps and at the top where the handle is bowed gives you room and won't bang your knees or shins. My husband is a really big guy and this will support him.

Very Pleased With My Purchase

Both my husband and I in our 60s and both of us are unable to reach top shelves in our kitchen. We had been using cheap wooden chair to reach, but my husband wisely warned of possibility of feet going through the wooden seat. So I purchased this 3-step Delxo and I am glad I did. It is tall enough for us to reach not only top shelves, but also ceiling lights in our kitchen. It folds up nicely, is easy to carry, and we store it in the laundry room. A welcome plus is that the top step doubles as a seat in a pinch.
