I'm really glad I got the push button model and not wall switched. It's much more convenient to use. This unit is super quiet. Way quieter than my awful Zephyr hood

Love the reduced noise from this disposer! Bigger than the Badger it replaced, so we lost some under-counter space. But worth it. The surface button is ever so slightly not perfectly round so it sits a bit of kilter, but that's a minor annoyance. That button is an air puffer which activates the electrical switch with a burst of air: clever design that keeps power as far away as possible from the sink! I always wondered how they did that. Not included is an adapter for the dishwasher tee, so if you're replacing an existing disposer that is connected to a dishwasher, be sure to pick up that adapter too.

I just installed this on a farm sink and it was first a simple install and second left me plenty of room between the bottom and the sink base. Because I was concerned with the distance I had I chose this particular disposal because its not as long as some of the others. I have 19 1/2" from the bottom of my sink to the base of my cabinet. After this was installed I now have about 7" from the bottom of the disposal to the bottom of the sink base so this was a perfect fit. I also didn't pay attention but this also included a push button air switch and the wiring for a outlet plug. Well worth the money. Now the color the counter top switch comes in is a brushed nickel. This is a very quiet garbage disposal, could be that the one I had before sounded like a wood chipper but this one is super quiet and for the price you just can't beat this with all that it includes..

I was on the fence about spending more for the better silencing technology. Completely worth it. Do not hesitate like I did--this is a perfect garbage disposal. It's quiet, it chops up everything that goes in it, has a useful button which can be installed in the counter (in place of a soap pump or the like) and is generally exceptional. I doubt I will even shop for other models the next time I want to install one. This one is really great.

This GD rocks... its about the same db level as a standard badger 2 when its running without food in it but it really shines when actually grinding. It is much quieter. The switch that mounts at counter level is a major benefit. We knew the switch would be beneficial but didn't realize that with a 1 yr old running around all our cabinets would be locked. Having the switch has been even more convenient than we initially estimated.

My garbage disposal, a KitchenAid 3/4 Hp, started leaking so I did some research and found the InSinkErator was highly recommended. So I bought their 3/4 Hp model. I had a plumber install it. This new disposal is 10 times more quiet than the KitchenAid. It is an excellent product. I am totally pleased with it.

I bought this to replace one that I installed improperly 6 years ago. This time I had it professionally installed and it was worth every penny to have it done right. The install is quick and easy. It's nice when the plumber smiles and says that's a good disposal. It is extremely quiet, so much so that you barely know it is running. As with its predecessor, it does a great job of mincing up your garbage so it will easily flow out of your pipes and into the sewage system.

I run this in my kitchen with my toddler sleeping 15 feet away. I would NEVER try that with our old one. Super quiet and strong. We also installed the button in the counter top which is nice. Be advised though, it operates just like a switch. Press it to turn it on, press it to turn it off. I was under the impression it would only run while you were holding it down, this is not the case. Not a big deal but figured it was worth mentioning.

This disposal works well, and is MUCH quiter than our old InSinkErator, which was maybe 10 years old. It's a heavy unit to get installed under the sink. I had to prop it up with boards to hold it in place while I turned it to engage the lock mechanism. Otherwise, the installation was straightforward. The rubber piece covering the disposal is oddly shaped, sticking updards so that food often needs to be prodded to enter the disposal. Otherwise it works great.

I liked how the air button came with the garbage disposal so I didn't have to look around for one. It came with a brushed nickel air button. I guess it's brushed nickel. Either way, it matches my faucet and soap dispenser. Also, I like how you can take out the black rubber gasket to clean it. The disposal is quiet enough. You don't want it too quiet or you might forget you have it on. You hit the air button to turn it on and you hit the button to turn it off. You don't have to keep your finger on the button. This product meets my expections and I was not dissapointed.
