This stuff is awesome! Was super easy to put up, no bubbles, stayed in place, and looks AMAZING! Only complaint is that it does not have the grid on the back to make cutting easy. I got around this because my area was small enough that I laid it horizontally and didn't need to cut straight lines as I used a razor blade to trim and overages on the edges which worked great.

Learning curve but simple

Great quality! Very pleased with this purchase. We did the largest wall in my son's nursery and it turned out wonderfully. There was a definite learning curve to laying it but overall was fairly simple to do. It took two adults to ensure it was straight, without air bubbles and lined up. One of us held the roll and peeled while the other placed it and smoothed it out. It is able to pull off and be moved again but it can be stretched as well which will make it much harder to re stick it to the wall. Make sure the buy the flat plastic piece for smoothing and taking away the air bubbles. Take your time and you will be very pleased.

Trick all your friends and family!

This stuff is awesome. Incredibly easy to install, very forgiving, looks just like real distressed wood for a fraction of the cost and time. A few recommendations: Make sure your wall or surface is clean and dry first. Have a second set of hands to help install it. Cut each piece slightly bigger, then trim the excess with a sharp blade once installed. Open the package a few days or week before you plan to install it, and let it air out in your garage - it is vinyl, which releases some really nasty chemicals. You will also want to let the room air out a few days after installation as well.

Easy, Forgiving and Versatile - Love It!

I purchased one roll with the hopes that the peel and stick wallpaper would cover our unsightly master bath counter top. The cabinets were all white laminate and the previous homeowners had allowed water to badly damage the counter top around the sink. After doing a lot of research, I decided on this wallpaper and it worked like a dream. In fact, I decided to do all the cabinet insets and it looks phenomenal and I still have 1/3 of a roll left. Since I'm using it in the bathroom, I applied two coats of Mod Podge to add texture, depth and act as a sealer. I would absolutely buy this product again. You can remove it over and over until you get it right and it continues to stick. The pattern is utterly forgiving, particularly if you need to slit air bubbles (which you will unless you're Martha Stewart). The paper has a very matte, non-textured finish, so if you want more of a wallpaper or textured barnwood look vs. flat Contact Paper look, I'd go with a couple coats of Matte Mod Podge (let the first coat completely dry before applying the second). If you do add a sealant, you may not be able to remove the wallpaper later, so if you're using it on walls or furniture that aren't yours, you'd probably want to skip that step. Love this wallpaper! The realism of the distressed wood is amazing. My hubby and I put it up easily together. No mess = awesome.

AMAZING!!!

We were a little skeptical to try this as a few reviews talked about waking up the next morning after the application to find that this “wallpaper” had peeled off the walls. We have had this up for a month now and it is as secure as when we first put it on our moderately TEXTURED walls. Since we applied the rolls horizontally, it did take 3 of us to hold up the long strips of paper so that the adhesive side didn’t touch. For our one wall, approx. 8’ x 14’, it took us about 3.5 hours to apply. One piece of advice: we bought one of the plastic “smoothing” devices as suggested, but found that it scraped the image off so we just used our hands and a large sponge to do this. The result is a BEAUTIFUL wall! Everyone who sees it goes up to it to touch and examine it and exclaims, “Wow! this looks like real wood!” So glad we did this!!! (Please excuse the messy guest room in the photo!!)
