As far as looks pretty good, I have a nice hammered set of knives that are very easily prone to rust thing and the oil helps keep the knives well moisturized. It absorbs into the metal very easily and I had kept my set looking and working beautifully. I usually wipe a dry after letting the oil soak into the metal for 10 minutes

The oil arrived on time and is a quility product. I make custom carbon steel knives and plan to use this product and recommend it to my customers.

I wanted a food-safe honing oil for use with a sharpening stone (although a quick wipe with soapy water worked when I used the last of my old Buck petroleum-based knife oil). The instructions on the bottle indicate that this new oil is for wiping and storing knives -- nothing about use in sharpening or honing. I don't see this as a problem. It works just fine for sharpening so I'm satisfied.

I needed a general honing oil. This being food grade was a bonus because I didn't have to worry what I used it on. The price per ounce and 12 oz bottle influenced my buying decision. The viscosity is exactly what I was looking for, thin enough that it flows over the blade smoothly but not so thin you cannot get it to adhere and soak in. I will purchase this again.

First off it’s a lot of product for the price, you don’t see that a lot any more. The reason I bought this is because my home made bush caft knife was starting to rust within days of finishing it. I grinded off the rust, added some of this oil and it’s been rust free ever since. And it’s food safe, what else could you need?

I use this product to sharpen boning knives and my hunting knife for use on ferrel hogs in TX taken off my ranch there. We process about 50+ a year.....so a lot of sharpening is involved. Super easy to clean off the stones and seems to not clog them up at all like most of the other expensive oils. Great product and I will recommend it to anyone wanting a high quality food safe oil at a super price. All my knives are carbon steel ( Not stainless) and rust if not protected , except when I coat them with this oil. A light wipe with this oil after sharpening and no rusting issues at all, ever.... Will definitely buy more.

So, first of all, for sharpening knives, it does exactly what it's supposed to do and it does a good job. What I love about this oil is it has virtually no odor. I use this oil for everything. I use it on my hair clippers, my beard and mustache trimmers and even a squeaky door hinge. this works for everything and has practically no smell to it. I am glad I found this product!!!

I needed a light honing oil for my axe and knives. Smaller bottles have gotten rather expensive, and I decided to buy a larger bottle if it was more economical. Enter Thirteen Chefs... I was attracted to the price, but sold on Made in America. It has worked well on my triple stone system, and my axe puck, carrying away metal dust without leaving a sticky or gummy residue. I have started using it on my kitchen knives as well, with equally positive results

VERY GOOD OIL PERFECT FOR ALL YOUR SHARPENING NEEDS.

Bought this blade oil to use on my sharpening stones and to provide protection against rust for my more carbon-heavy knives. It is smooth and silky and makes the knife glide across the stone nearly effortlessly. Once done, the oil cleans up easily and a thin coat on your blade (on slathered in the sheath) provides good protection from moisture and the elements. I will buy this product again!
