This Nail Grinder helped my granddaughter trim the nails on her small dog. "Maple". The first time she used it the dog was slightly nervous but the second time the dog just settled in and let my granddaughter trim her nails. I think this tool minimizes the risk of cutting into the nail quick.

My 115lb dog is deathly afraid of having her nails clipped, even at the groomers (maybe especially at the groomers because I'm not there, the big baby). I read the reviews for this grinder and thought I'd give it a go...It'd be cheaper than paying for nail clipping that never got finished! Anyway, I am more than pleased with the grinder...the dog was also skeptical at first but with our 6 year old rubbing her belly, she endured the torture and I finally was able to get her nails done. The grinder held its charge for quite a while and is very effective. The dog did not freak out at all like she does when we get the nail clippers out, so I highly recommend this product.

An absolutely excellent tool for grinding down a dog's nails. It is much more quiet than using a dremel, and that works well for dogs who are skittish about having their nails clipped or ground down. We use this for our 70 pound aussie shepherd, and if it is FULLY CHARGED, it will grind down the nails on all four paws in one use.

My dog gets horribly stressed with grooming and nail clipping, and seeing as she is about 13 years old I try not to stress her out too much. Purchasing this was my final attempt for at-home grooming and I'm so happy to say that IT WORKED. While she wasn't a fan of the buzzing, once she was settled in and realized the nail grinder would do no harm to her, she was calm and I was able to finish grinding down all four paws in no time! It took about 20 minutes to finish and the battery stayed strong through to the end without any previous charging. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has a stressed pup when it comes to nail clipping, just make sure that the fur around the nail is trimmed before using the nail grinder so as to not get any fur pulled by the grinder.

I read reviews before purchasing this nail grinder and am very glad I bought it. We have spent so much money on our dogs' nails. Now we can do it at home for what we would spent for one vet visit on them. The grinder is very quiet just as other reviews stated. I also really love that it is rechargeable instead of requiring batteries.

This grinder Is small, lightweight, easy to grip, almost completely silent, and super effective. I have an 80 pound 26 inch tall boxer\pointer mix, he is very anxious and has very sensitive feet and this grinder does not bother him in the slightest. I am able to grind his nails without any help which is awesome. the head is small enough to get his dew claws easily as well. the charger works great and each charge lasts at least long enough to do all four paws twice. great grinder for the value, at a pet store these go for 50-100 dollars. the "guide" is removable if you feel comfortable with using it without the guide hole (I do) this also makes it easy to clean off. over all 10/10 an awesome product. * I did not receive any discount of free merchandise for my review, this is just my real and honest opinion as a dog owner who cant get near her dog with traditional clippers*

We have a 5lb Chihuahua (Taco) and a 10lb Poodle (Teddy) that seem to need their nails clipped at least every other week. Taco will tolerate it, begrudgingly, but Teddy ABSOLUTELY HATES nail clippers! No matter how much my husband and I tried to coax him with love and treats, he would squirm, run, and cry. We have had some luck with professional groomers, but even they admitted that getting his nails done was not an easy task. With that being said--this tool is WONDERFUL! It's not loud and takes away my fear of clipping too close to the quick. Teddy was a little scared at first, but with some belly rubs and soft praise he came around in no time. His nails now look better than ever! Taco was also a little unsure of the vibration at first, but he also adapted quickly :)

This nail grinder is awesome! I have a cordless Dremel, and while it can grind the nails down more quickly, it's so much louder than this grinder that my dogs are bothered by the noise and do not tolerate it so well. I have two Akitas and a Dogo Argentino and this nail grinder works well on all of them. It is slower though so it's best used for regular maintenance rather than for dogs with really long nails. Don't get me wrong - it does grind down the dog's nails effectively, but it's not as fast as clippers (also not as error prone). The charge holds really well. I was able to grind down the nails on the back paws of my Akita, which hadn't been trimmed in several months, shape and smooth the nails on her front paws, which had been clipped just a few days prior, shape and smooth most of the nails on my Dogo Argentino, grind down one nail on my Dogo Argentino which hadn't been trimmed for months because I missed it when I did the other ones, and the charge was still going strong after 15-20 minutes. I think it would take around 10 minutes to do one large dog using this grinder if you do nails every week or two and the dog isn't being uncooperative. It works a bit faster if you hold the nail you're grinding and put slight pressure on it using the grinder.

I have a 5 month old miniature pinscher puppy and she let me clip her nails only once. Ever since I can’t even come near her with the clippers. Not even when she’s asleep as she knows immediately. She FREAKS OUT. When I brought the grinder near her, she was a little skittish. I left the cap on and turned it on and put it by her, and on her, for quite a while till she wasn’t scared anymore. Then I started on the nails. She didn’t like it at first but quickly got used to it. It grinds fairly fast once you figure out how hard to push. I was a little scared at first but once I figured it out it was very simple. It works pretty fast. Since this is my first puppy I searched out how to properly cut my dogs nails. That way I don’t hurt her. I’m so happy I bought his grinder! I’ve only used it once and If it starts to fail I will update my review.

Excellent product! I have 2 small dogs and it worked great! The dogs still didn't love it but they tolerated it! It was very quiet and quickly and painlessly filed their nails down! I was done in about 30 mins for both dogs on all 4 paws for each dog! Perfect alternative to clippers! *Here is a photo of my poor miserable and clearly mistreated fur babies! They are mother and daughter!
