Cross over to a New Leaf
Was playing on my brothers copy, so I wasn't Mayor in his town. I made to move to Duderino and was handed the job of Mayor immediately. It was nice to already have my progress from my brother's copy transfer over to my copy with no troubles. Game is great to pick up for a few mins a day, or really sit down and crank out some town development for a few hours. This is the game that keeps on giving after you completed most of it, as it changes with seasons and holidays.

Such a cute, fun game
I got this game for my birthday on launch day when it was released a few years ago. And I had fun completing the museum, fixing up a house, getting a perfect town and doing all the holiday events. My favorite part of the game is pushing villagers into pitfalls and taking pictures. I bought each of my children their own copy, because only the first one to town gets to be Mayor. And there won't be any fishing/bug catching together without an separate copy. It's very relaxing and my youngest at 7, had no problem reading or playing this game. I bought this copy for my daughter to give to her friend for her friend's birthday, since the friend had saved up enough for her on 2DS. The game was a hit with both the friend and her mom, and all the kids played together for hours. It is a great game for the family to play together and you don't need internet to play in each other's town.

Because I have no control over my real life, I use this game to cope
As nostalgic as I am about the Gamecube game, I think I may have to admit that this is the best AC game yet. I love all the little details and things you can do that they've added to the games over the years. Where Wild World and City Folk missed a few things yet got a few right, New Leaf takes the best from those games and fixes the things the others got wrong. On a side note, I make all my villagers greetings and catchphrases be something along the lines of "Master," "My liege," "Jarl," etc. to add to the power trip I have as mayor. Really adds to the whole experience.

Very relaxing game.
This is a very charming game. I originally bought it for my sister for her birthday, but I ended up playing it way more than her in the long run haha. There is a ton of things to do and manage in this game, the music is great and relaxing, and the multiplayer features are so fun. I definitely recommend this one.

Must Try
Fun game for the kids, or the adult with time to kill. A good search-and-find game with an interesting theme. Good price for a game for a system that tends to price them at $40.

A breath of fresh air.
I highly recommend this game. It's unlike anything I've ever played before. It's a chill and relaxing experience. There's no levels, save points, bosses etc. You play at your own pace. The music is very peaceful and you spend your time doing all kinds of things, including fishing, diving, traveling to islands, sending letters, chatting to neighbors. One con is that the voices are annoying. Other than that it's a quality product that will last you for hundreds of hours!

Excellent game with some life-lesson potential
Oh, if my college-age kid had not gotten me hooked! He knew just what I'd like when he pestered me to join his town. Now I have my own town so I can play it whenever I want without tying up his! This little gem has many things I would have loved to use if I had been homeschooling or working with my kid when he was a younger gamer: persistence, managing money, decor, polite social habits, and dealing with both annoying and endearing requests and interaction, as well as when's enough playing time. This is a good relaxing fun game, I love the decorating and the landscaping. Now if only it was that easy to do things in my house and garden!

Fun and Addicting
I'm actually pretty addicted to this game. I now own three copies. Just bought another one recently for my 2DS. It's pretty fun. Your a mayor of a town and your job is to improve it. There's a train station that allows you to travel to another town (must have each other's friend code) or open your gate to allow others to come in. Once you unlock the island and become a member. Can't remember what's it called but anyways that allows you to play with others around the world. Only in the island. You can actually choose to either head to the island yourself or with others. If you also head to the island with the people in your town which. Tons of event going on that you'll never get bored of playing.

I am completely addicted to this game. It is ...
I am completely addicted to this game. It is slowly taking over my life. I get up in the morning and start shaking trees and digging up fossils. Before I go to bed at night I catch fish on my island and save them on the dock so that I can sell them and pay off my home upgrades and public works projects. I've also learned all about some types of fish, bugs and dinosaurs that I never cared to know about before. I have friends, male friends, in the military with me, who link up and actually trade fruit and fishing with me. This game is the most addicting game I have ever played.

3rd copy in the household
My husband and I both own a copy of this game and my oldest daughter has been baking for her own copy. Since she's getting her 3DS this year, we thought it would be great to add this as part of her gift. I love the Nintendo select group love games - they are four great games at a lower cost, which is great for me because we love games!
