I am 6'4"and weigh 180 pounds with a 15 or 15.5 neck. A medium fits me perfectly (though I haven't yet washed the shirt). It's long enough and big enough. Thanks to everyone who left feedback on the fit -- otherwise I would never have taken the chance of ordering a medium, which would normally be too tight and too short. Very happy with this inexpensive, well-fitting and good-looking shirt. Here's a tip. Go to Etsy and spend a couple of bucks on a tiny embroidered patch, the size of the Lacoste alligator. I ironed one on the spot where the alligator goes and it makes the shirt unique. My patch is a tiny dinosaur. Now I have to buy another shirt to use the other patch I bought, a little porcupine.

I bought one of these shirts for work a month ago (I work in a kitchen so until I get a personalized company chef coat I chose to wear a black polo) the fabric is nice and thick but not heavy or hot and the shirt is nice and long so it doesn’t ride up. The only thing I’m noticing that I don’t like is that the color is starting to fade..being that I’ve washed this shirt 15-20 times in the last month I noticed it pretty easily when oil stains started to show from the foods I work with. Im sure a little RIT due would keep up with the nice black hue of the shirt but I’m not sure about the other colors. I just bought the hunter green, navy blue, and grey so I guess I’ll see when they come in.

Can a 100% cotton polo shirt selling for less than $20 be any good? In this case, the answer is yes, indeed. This is a great medium-weight shirt, generously sized and very breathable, with banded collar and cuffs. We'll see how durable this polo proves, but my impression on first wearing it is totally positive. If you're ordering the pink shirt, note that the color is more of a peach than the muted pink pastel shown on the page. At any rate, it's amazing how much polo shirt you can buy for your money when there are no fancy designer names or celebrity endorsements involved...

I'm really impressed with these shirts and have ordered 2 so far for the spouse. They are good basic polos and a real deal at the price. Not super thick, mind you, and no fancy logo. But they look to be well made, the fabric is a nice pique that hangs nicely, and so far they have washed up fine, no funny puckering. The "washed red" is a nice in-between color, neither pink nor red, so it doesn't strike DH as "pretty." The aqua is pretty pale (almost robin's egg) but good for our SW climate. Now I'm just hoping for more color options since he seems to be wearing these over and over...

After reading the reviews on this shirt, I was hesitant, but went a head and ordered down in size. My husband wears an XL in all shirts and so many people said the shirts were sized way too big and they had to return them for a smaller size, so I bought a large. I bought 2 shirts in black and sure enough, they were a true size large! Imagine that! Amazon has the sizing right! Thanks to Amazon being such an amazing company I was able to return the 2, size large shirts and exchange them for 2, XL shirts. The XL shirts are a perfect XL fit! The quality is pretty good and the price can't be beat so I will be ordering many more of these shirts for my husband. I am excited to now check out more things in "Amazon's Closet"! Trust me, stick to the size you normally wear.

I really like these Shirts. decent quality for the price. Fit is excellent... feels a little big at first and then slightly shrinks to a good sizing. Most important they are inexpensive enough to replace routinely. I have them embroidered and only wear Black and Navy (for work), so naturally they fade in color from washing. These a better quality than Land's End which I have a corporate account with and hate their product. It is still half the price to buy these and pay myself to have a corporate logo applied. My opinion is they have a decent length to remain tucked in and they are just right in thickness. They are not too thin, but certainly not the thicker 7oz. type cotton piques out there. The only negative would be if they could make new colors. A Burnt Orange, Medium Brown, Royal Blue, True Navy, a Red other than Port, etc.

Great quality and value for the price. I will see how this holds up as I'll wear it a lot for business, but it seems as nice as the $50 ones I get at some retails stores. I'm fine if it only holds up for one summer. I don't mind buying a few new ones each year at this price. CAUTION regarding size. Based on many reviews I read regarding size I ordered a medium when I normally wear a large. This is totally incorrect advice. Maybe the sizing is different on my order, but medium was a very tight fit. I'm a fairly normal size person and I tuck the shirt in so I'm not concerned with the length but I am returning the medium for the large I normally wear and will update this in a few days, but I'm sure large will be fine! Order the size you normally wear and you'll be fine!

I got this g shirt fro my husband. He usually is a medium size depending on the sizing given here in their size description too. But somehow it is running large. We got him a small instead and it fit him great. For the money, this is a great t shirt and comes in lovely colors. We got the yellow for a bus theme party . Very comfortable t shirt and looks like it will last several washes too. They also come in lovely colors. Planning to buy a couple of more.

I have purchased 20 plus of these shirts in the past six months. The first batch in spring, figuring if any inconsistencies or quality issues arose upon delivery, no problem. Amazon's return policy has always been hassle free. After trying on the fourth shirt and noticing no outstanding flaws or differences, all were simply opened, laundered and hung on a hanger. The material is 100 percent cotton, but assuming they are removed from the dryer immediately (medium heat) - no ironing necessary. No appreciable shrinking is observed and no outliers in the batch. My sport shirt size is men's US large regular fit. Other relevant sizes - 17.5 inch neck, 46 inch shoulders, 34 inch sleeves and 36 inch waist. Overall fit of these shirts is of appropriate roominess without bagginess. Shirt tail length is spot on, work dress code requires tucked in, and they stay tucked in. Casual requires not tucked in, and unless I am reaching for the sky with both hands while on tip toes, the shirt tail/ belt line is not breached. The sleeve length could have been extended by an inch since they taper to an elastic cuff, requiring that the sleeves are pulled back to original position following an extended reach. But given the choice, the sleeves as is are preferred over a straight cut without the elastic cuff. As an upgrade to the T shirt appearance of the shirt tail when not tucked in, the side seams end with a reinforced, one inch inverted V, a feature not typical in this price range. To date, durability has not been an issue. Fraying, fabric pilling and fading have not occurred. It is quite difficult, if not impossible, to differentiate the age of two duplicate color shirts purchased in two separate batches. Again, excellent value, consistent fit, cool, comfortable and durable!

Purchased for my husband in the coral color in size Large. The color is slightly more orange and bright in person. He still liked it. He is a size large in Vineyard Vines classic fit polos and in Macy's Charter House brand pique polos. Large was the correct size for him here too. I would say that this polo shirt runs slightly larger than the other brands I just mentioned in that it's a bit looser and longer. Quality is not as nice as Vineyard Vines, but the price is $12 for Amazon Essentials vs. $80 for Vineyard Vines and the quality is the best I've seen for an inexpensive polo. Certainly beats any of the brands offered at Target in terms of quality. Really the only difference between this shirt and a better quality one is the collar. Collar on more expensive/better quality ones will lay better after washing and stand up a bit more. I will definitely be purchasing more of these for him and I would highly recommend.
