I've been using it every night to look at Jupiter, it is currently my best high magnification lens. For the money it is very good, but I do plan to invest more for better quality when the time is right. For now it is quite good.

Very nice lens, bigger than the one that came with my Celestron and the wide field is stunningly larger. I am guessing that this is a Kellner lens but that is not an insult. If you got a $200 telescope for Christmas and the biggest lens is a regular 20mm, this will make life much nicer when you are looking at things that are large but faint as in Lagoon nebula or Andromeda galaxy. WELL worth the $13.

I'm a beginner at astronomy, like most the people looking at these $14 eyepieces. I have never looked through a $100+ lens, so I have no idea what quality image they have. With that, I feel like I can give a review that doesn't compare a $14 to one costing several times more. I bought the 10mm & 23mm eyepiece from this set because the 68deg UW Svbony (red/black) eyepieces didn't have a 10mm and it stopped at 20mm. Both lenses are great upgrades to the cheap ones that come with most telescopes. The views are very clear and sharp with little edge fuzziness. Sure, they're made of plastic, but does that really matter? It fits great, the image is great, and it's cheap, what every beginner wants. Honestly, the only complains I have about them is that they don't have a flip-up eye guard like the other 99%, but I found a solution for that. Since these eyepieces are more than likely replacement upgrades for people, you can take the eye guard off the old ones (that are destined for the trash) and put them on the Svbony. Problem solved! The other complaint is that I wish there were more sizes than just 3, that's kind of lame for eyepieces in this price range and magnification. Other than that, they're great. Buy them!

I give this 5 stars for the value, they are great for beginners! I've only owned a 6" dob for a few months so I'm by no means an expert. However, I was looking to buy a wider angle lens than the 52 degree eyepiece it came with and almost bought a more expensive one for $50. At $40, I got the same eyepiece plus a 23mm, and a 4mm! Pros: Great field of view at 62 degrees Inexpensive so for newbies like me no fear of breaking them Cons: Very little eye relief A note on the 4mm, at first I thought it was defective, but then I realized I was at the upper reaches of my scope's ability. I have heavy light pollution so anything over 200x is not very usable, and the 4mm puts it at 300x! Great for views of the moon though!

I am not too experienced with telescopes or eyepieces, so take that under consideration, but I have been pretty pleased with these eyepieces. I am using them on a 6 inch Newtonian and have found them to be as sharp as my other eyepiece (Celestron 20mm Plossl) at least from what I can tell. Astrophotography is my main concern, so getting three eyepieces for about $12 each is awesome, because I mostly use them for alignment purposes, and these fulfilled my needs perfectly.

I was shocked by how crisp the view I got from these eyepieces are when I first them in (one by one). I fully agree with previous comments that these eyepieces are decent and much much better than H20 (20mm) & SR4 (4mm) eyepieces I got together with the purchase of telescope. 1) The build quality is not bad. Better than what I expect. The 23mm one is huge at hand and 10mm one is actually smaller than 4mm one. I would say 3/5 2) The optical quality is very good. The view is crystal clear and no apparent distortion. For 4mm one, the view is actually very crisp except for darker background. 4/5 3) The wide angle view is indeed with what it claimed. Viewing from 23mm even gives me a feeling like watching stars through a spaceship windows... 3/5 4) The eye relief is not very long but not bad. For 23mm, I can easily look through it when I wear eyeglass. Looking through 4mm is a little bit of harder to watch through with glasses but much better than my SR4, which is simply not possible. 2.5/5 5) The cost for those three pieces is low. $12 each. 5/5 Overall, I would like to see that these eyepieces are well built, crispy clear and having wide angle view as advertised. In my opinion, if your budget is only about $50 and still want 3 decent eyepieces , this item is one ultimate budget choice.

I bought the 23 mm and the 10 mm, for my fairly new Celestron 102 mm refractor.(This scope came with the worst eyepieces to ever be conceived) on first handling I found they were metal barrels and plastic tops with a rubbery coating and very light weight. on compairing the 23 mm with the H25 mm, the two felt like they were the same although the H25mm was a little bit shorter.and the 10mm compaired equally to the H12.5mm. my first opertunity to try them I had great conditions. I used the Svbony 23mm first, wow very nice, then popped the H25 in... then back to the SvBony..., WOW!!! I could not believe the view a $13.00 eyepiece could deliver!!!! I was just hoping it would be better at least marginally better. What I found can only be described like this. Take an empty toilet paper tube look up at the moon- that’s the field of view and long tunnel feel of the H25mm. Now take a key ring (with keys removed) hold that up to your eye, now look through it at the same target, that’s the field of view and that tunnel/tube feel is gone!!!! And that is why a person on a tight budget SHOULD buy these. Now comparing the svbony 10mm to the H12.5mm, pretty much the same results as the other two As far as getting a sharper image, can’t say I could see an improvement. But I can say with these I can focus and use my eyeglasses or not due to a lot better eye relief(I never use my eyeglasses when using the telescope anyway. I did not buy the 4mm because that’s way too short of focal length for my scope. I wished they made these in various other sizes I would buy them!!! Svbony if your reading this, help out the Budget bound a little more !! I would recommend a 6mm, 13mm, 18mm, 32mm and a 40mm. Your 4mm is just too short for most scopes.

I have and old 6" reflector telescope which has focal length of about 1200mm.The eyepieces 23mm give me about 52x~~~10mm 120x~~~4mm 300x.All the eyepieces work great they are all sharp.the 4mm 300x you lose light but it still is sharp.these eyepieces are great for the price you pay~~~~~A++++

So I consider myself an avid observer who takes the telescopes out whenever the climate is permitting, and I have very expensive eyepieces that I can compare these to. I purchased these with the intent to use them at star parties and public out reach events. Two things to note: 1. The optics of these eyepieces are WAY better than i expected. like >significantly< better than i thought they were going to be. 2. The build quality is EXACTLY what you would expect for 35 bucks. its not great. but it gets the job done With that being said, the eyepieces are sharp to the edge with no apparent aberration. The eye relief is not great but its not terrible (even for the 4mm), if i had to guess between 8 and 10mm, definitely not suited for eyeglass wearers. For reference, I feel that the FOV + Eye relief of the 4mm is slightly better than an older Televue 8mm plossl i have. And yes the Apparent Field Of View is approximately 62 degrees as advertised. I do not believe that these are actually glass optics, but i could totally be wrong, they don't feel like it. I really like what they did with the 4mm though: its basically an 8mm eyepiece but increased the focal length by building a barlow into the eyepiece. Bottom Line: I would HIGHLY recommend these eyepieces for anyone who just got a telescope for a birthday or holiday as they would out preform any eyepieces supplied with a telescope kit (unless its a super fancy $1000+ scope). These are perfect for beginners and casual observers.

Absolutely unbelievable for this price. Great eyepiece, very wide view, and has nice eye relief for use with my glasses. WAY better than my Orion Sirius Plossl's. Not too sensitive about head/eye placement (which is awful with my Orion's). However, I have only used this in my very slow F/12.1 127mm Mak-Cass telescope. If you really study it, you can notice some very slight distortion near the edges. Not noticeable unless you look for it. Not sure how it would do in a fast telescope, but once I have my 12" reflector mirror re-coated I will try it out and try to remember to update this review.
