Hours Of Research... Thankful To Have Found This Product
After doing TONS of research on shampoos for my baby and toddler, I decided on this one. Some natural brands are very expensive, and yet some of the ingredients are still questionable for that price. I needed something reasonably priced but to eliminate most (if no all) of the questions of ingredients, and not stink. This fit what I was looking to purchase :) With a single application, this has helped my 4 month old's cradle cap. I have been applying coconut oil before bath and it would help slightly, but I've seen a noticeable difference in it today (first bath with this shampoo was last night). It's not organic, but I'm not as concerned with organic as I am with trying to avoid chemicals. It has a very light citrus smell that leaves me feeling refreshed after bathing the kids. I feel great using it because it doesn't have the questionable ingredients from almost every other shampoo - and I've even told my family about it and they will be ordering some soon. Some people said it was hard to get a lather, I found it was perfect. With baby shampoo, I don't want a lot because it will run down their face and ears. To me, it was the perfect lather because it would lather enough to easily see where the soap was and feel clean but not enough to run off the head. As far as the tear free, I can't speak to that. I try to avoid getting soap/shampoo in anyone's eyes (and in doing research, MOST tear free formulas still have eye irritants in them, they just have a numbing agent in them which I also wanted to avoid). I am so pleased with this, I will be looking at other products offered by this company. Thanks for offering a great, reasonably priced product! UPDATE: I have been using this to clean my face (same thing, very difficult to find a reputable facial cleanser at a reasonable price). When it gets in my eyes, it feels like water getting in them which is more uncomfortable than stinging (as some people commented). I also did accidentally get this in my 4 months old eyes, and he did not fuss whatsoever. I did notice his eyes were a little red after bath time. But I go back to what I said previously, the most popular brand tearless shampoos have a numbing agent that I'm not a big fan of bathing my kids in every evening.

Helps with cradle cap
I read some great reviews for this shampoo and thought it was worth a try. After a few weeks of my baby’s cradle cap, I was getting desperate to try something due to the intense case he had. I attached photos so you can see the cradle cap at its worst and what it looks like now. I love that the shampoo is natural and made in America. We’ve only used it a handful of times and there is significant improvement. Of course, give your baby’s skin time to heal from the cradle cap. The shampoo won’t fix it overnight. We use it every other day or every few days. Even the pediatrician reassured us that this is the “right of passage“ many babies have to go through and that it’ll go away in a few months. In the meantime, this shampoo was a big help! Even the dandruff has lessened. All that’s left is his baby acne which will clear up on its own.

Natural & Gentle Wash With a Lovely Citrus Fragrance
As a grandmother of two and also someone who suffers from a compromised immune system, I am always on the look-out of products that are safe, hypoallergenic, and are made with quality ingredients. Puracy Natural Shampoo & Body Wash is a great product and one that I will continue to purchase in the future. I usually take a warm bath every evening to help get rid of my aches and pains and when I first used this product my skin had no negative reaction which it often does when I have used some of the big name brands of body wash. I also loved that it had a wonderful citrus fragrance that some natural soap products leave out. It leaves me feeling clean and fresh and yes, there are plenty of bubbles. I am going to send a couple of bottles to my daughter-in-law for my granddaughters. As consumers the best thing we can do when we find a great product is spread the word and ultimately healthy alternatives to the big corporate brands will become the popular brands of our future and our children's future. I also love the fact that Puracy donates their products to local families that are less fortunate. This is a great company and a great product and I would recommend it to everyone no matter what age, from babies to the elderly.

Tips to avoid problems. Cradle cap solution
Obviously I'll explain my experience with this product, but I wanted to give a few tips that might help you avoid some of the problems other reviewers had. (you can use these methods for any other shampoo/bodywash you want to try) - keep in mind that even a good all natural shampoo or body wash is not for everyone because our skin and hair can be very different from someone that is even in our own family. Didn't work for someone else's baby? Could still work for yours and visa versa. - skin sensitivity: obviously, baby skin is more sensitive than your skin, but some babies are more sensitive than others. If this is the case, your family has a history of allergies or skin reactions, or you are just concerned, spot test it before using it for a whole bath. Take a small amount of soap and wash a very small section of your baby, rinse thoroughly and wait at least 24hrs. If they have a skin reaction in that spot, you know that this is not the baby shampoo for you. - you don't need a whole lot: my baby has allot of hair for a newborn and I only use about 1/4 of a pump for her hair. Washing her body probably takes a total of one pump, but I do it a little at a time because sometimes when washing the washcloth goes under the water and the soap rinses off. Using too much can make it harder to rinse off which can cause skin irritation and it is a waist of soap. - drying out the skin: it could be the shampoo because everyone's skin is different, however, consider the possibility that you might be bathing your baby too frequently. Most babies don't need a bath more than once or twice a week. If you like to keep a bath as part of the bedtime routine like I do, try giving just a water bath (no soap) most nights and wash with soap one to three times a week. Apply a good baby lotion as needed. You can also rinse them with fresh water instead of the bath water to make sure you are getting all of the soap off. If you do this for a couple of weeks and you are still having a dry skin problem then this soap may not be for you. - rinse thoroughly: this will help with sensitivity, drying skin, etc. - no tears: this one probably bugs me the most. So many reviews implied they they put the soap undeluted in their own eyes and then complained that it wasn't tear free. Anything that doesn't belong in your eye (your tears, saline, contact solution) will burn. Even clean water can sting some. The idea is that it minimizes discomfort. To avoid problems, don't was your baby's face with soap. Every article and baby book I have read says to only wash a baby's face with a washcloth wet with clean water. This is how the hospital did it for my baby's first bath, and this is how my mom (5 kids) has always done it. Their skin is sensitive and the skin on their face is even more sensitive. Not only will you risk over drying the skin on their face from stripping the oils, but you will probably get undeluted soap in their eyes and mouth because they don't know how to keep them shut yet. When you are rinsing their hair use your hand, a wash cloth, one of those bath hats, or anything else that will work to shield their eyes. What little soap that might get into their eyes will be diluted with the water you are using to rinse. I've done this and what little soap has gotten into my babys eyes hasnt seamed to bother her. - broken pump: I havent had this problem, but you could try contacting the company. I don't know how their customer service is, but if it is any good, they will send you a new pump. If that's not the case, but you still want to use the soap and do so with ease, next time your hand soap container is empty instead of throwing it away, rinse it out well and pour the baby soap into that. My Experience I was using a different brand of all natural soap, but my daughter had cradle cap and it was slowly getting worse. It wasn't nearly as bad as some babies have and I didn't think to take before and after pictures. I started using this shampoo and it cleared up in almost 2 weeks (washing about twice a week). Hers wasnt too bad, so it might take longer for others, but it was still nice to have those scalely flakes gone. I love the smell and I haven't had as much of a problem with her skin drying out like I did with the other soap I was using. Ive only used the baby lotion a couple of times whereas with the other soap I was applying it after every bath. It seems like the bottle should last a while. I've been using it for over a month and haven even used 1/4 of the bottle yet because a little goes a long way with this soap. I also like that they have refill packs that are cheaper than a whole new bottle. It also uses less plastic and while I'm not worried about the world ending over this sort of thing, I do believe in not being wasteful. I am planning to use their kids shampoo and body wash when my baby gets older. A couple of weeks ago, I ran out of my body wash and grabbed this soap to use instead until I had a chance to get more. I liked it so I tried it on my hair too. It worked well for me and now I am trying out their adult shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. So I could see this working for an adult with dry, sensitive skin as well.

Extremely gentle! Wonderful smell!
I bought this to use as a shampoo for myself (I have slightly thinning hair and only in my late 20s and thought my old cheaply made shampoo may be the culprit with such harsh ingredients). I really love how clean and soft this makes my hair feel and it smells amazing with the grapefruit essential oil. I also use this as a face and body wash...which I never thought something that would make my hair feel so good actually make my skin feel clean too but it really does! I now use it on my 4 year old son as well and he loves it too. I will be using this for both of us from now on!

Amazing value
I use this and the puracy conditioner pouch for my two and six year olds in conjunction with the simple human shampoo dispenser. I last ordered them in September and I still haven’t gotten through the whole pouch! One pump is enough for each kid. My girls take a bath *almost* every night before bedtime and we love this shampoo. This is an exceptional value considering that it is now February and I still have shampoo left to use. If I had been using traditional shampoo bottles from our local target like I used to I would’ve already been through countless plastic bottles which are about 5-10 dollars a piece. I love the formula of this shampoo and the smell is light which our whole family loves. Our girls have sensitive skin and this formula is gentle. This big pouch is also convenient to use when we have trips planned. I just use any small travel container and fill it up with this. Saves me money and time. I love this product and company.

Don’t buy anything else! Our entire family has switched to this!
My infant son has eczema, so we went through about 20 different body washes and lotions trying to figure out what he could use. We wash him with this now and we don’t have to even put lotion on him anymore! He hasn’t had a single breakout since we switched. Plus, even if some accidentally gets in his eye, he acts totally unphased. He also sometimes drinks his bath water, and it has never caused any adverse reaction. Even though body wash isn’t meant to go in your eyes or mouth, babies will put it there. It’s so nice to have an organic, US made option that does far more than what it says. And we bought this six months ago and still probably have another six months left!

Can I give this 6 stars?!
I bought this months ago and every time it’s bath time I think “I really need to write that review.” This shampoo/body wash was one of those amazon gems I randomly discovered and I will NEVER buy any other product. It’s so gentle on my baby’s skin, light, clean, citrusy fragrence, great suds. It’s basically perfect. I had been through so many options before because both of my sons have eczema issues. My 3 year olds scalp was a mess, I’m talking thick dry skin you could peel off, ugh! Nothing worked. We’re 2 months in and it gone... GONE. This stuff is so great, no tears... no residue, does a great job cleaning. Can’t say enough about it! Do yourself a favor and go for it!

The only soap/shampoo we use for baby
With all the harmful chemicals and toxins that companies use these days, my wife and I wanted to have our baby use safer products. We found this product based on good reviews/ratings. The ingredient listing look safe to us. We recommend it. My mom even used this for herself since it's less harsh on her hair. Also, we are using the handsoap product from the same company.

Will probably purchase again!
Great product, though wish it was available in a scent free version for asthmatic family members. The bottle is of good quality. Unfortunately, the included pump we received did not work at all, which was very frustrating. A lot of soap is wasted without the pump, as it is hard to pour the tiny amount needed for toddlers. We had planned to order the refill pack next time, but now we cannot, as we really need a pump. The quality of the soap seems good and it seems gentle. My kiddos with extremely sensitive skin did not recieve a rash after first and second use. It does not seem to badly dry out the hair, as many natural soaps tend to do. Hoping this soap will be a longterm solution for my kiddos and family's use.
