This little thing is like a Swiss army knife for data. I bought a 32GB Samsung EVO Select microSD card to use with it, both given as a gift. Perfect for the newer phones using USB-C as well as older phones using microUSB. I regularly use its OTG feature to flash custom ROMs and relevant packages to the phone without having to use ADB which is sometimes unreliable and is often a pain to get working correctly. TWRP detects this as USB-OTG flawlessly every time and I'm able to transfer packages between the phone and a computer as needed.

I freaking love this. I have a very old laptop and less old but still old kodak camera with only a 1 gig SD card. Using the USB cord the camera came with took 10 minutes to move 20 minute videos. Taking the SD card and plugging it into this baby and plugging it into the USB port to my computer...cut and paste, done in 30 seconds. It's not cheaply made either I don't think. You wouldnt think flimsy or anything with what it us...but it feels solid and works better than I thought it would for the price. Now that i used it I'd probably pay at least double what I boughy it for tbh. I think it was just $5 when I bought it. Well worth it if you need to move files around quickly. Much faster than the cord and way way faster than WiFi (I'm sure that depends on your device, again my laptop is so old its OS is Windows XP and can only have a max of 1.5gigs ram).

I was admittedly a little worried buying this. It was cheap ($8 at the time of purchase), and had four completely different ports - that's a lot of options. What I'm saying was, it seemed simply too good to be true, haha. But no, this little guy works like a champ. : ) I got it mainly for use when I'm traveling - switching photos and such back and forth between my camera, laptop, and cell phone. It's horrendously convenient, the design in and of itself. The fact that it all works flawlessly is the cherry on top. Thank you very much for this amazing product! <3

14 December 2017 Update: I forgot to empty my pocket before doing laundry this week... Good news though, the card reader has survived a trip through the washer and dryer! ------------ 10 October 2017 Update: This gadget is still working great! I tried it on a new Moto G5 plus and it worked as expected, I was able to use the G5 phone to view everything on the SD card. ----------- After looking at the price of SD card readers with built in viewers, I found this gadget at a much more reasonable price. It works great with my Android phone, the pictures on the SD card show up in my picture gallery. I've used full size and micro SD cards with no problems. The pictures in this review show the card reader attached to the phone and a screen capture of a picture I was using the reader to view.

*1 YEAR UPDATE* I've used this reader at least once a week, sometimes up to 5 days a week, for 13 months and it's still like brand new! Being able to to just insert my cards, full or micro, into the reader and transfer the whole day's photo shoot over to my tablet for editing and saving in less than a minute is invaluable! I'd definitely recommend this reader to anyone who needs one. I've used it in my laptop (Windows) and it worked beautifully in there as well. ________________ First and foremost - Mobile devices need to be OTG ready. Check yours first (there are apps in the play store that do this) before buying it. My ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 is OTG ready, my ASUS MeMO pad 7 is not. I love this thing. Love it. Now after taking thousands of photos with my camera (an actual camera, not a mobile device) all I have to do is pop the memory card into this, plug it into my tablet and copy the files over. Before this I had to use an adapter, plug into my laptop, plug my tablet into the laptop, and transfer them that way. Ugh. This is simple and easy to use. Now I only use the laptop if there's editing to be done, until I find an app I like. This reader is made from a hard plastic, except for the connectors, but has a soft brushed finish. No slipping and sliding here. It'll fit any modern device with a type C, A, or micro USB port.

I have a Galaxy S6. When the card arrived, I thought it didn't fit my phone. But then I saw the flip-up piece of metal on the end to be inserted into my phone, flipped it up and it inserted perfectly. I was able to quickly able to transfer all my large pic files onto an SD card, so my phone now has a lot of freed up capacity. Great little tool!

This thing doesn’t mess around. As cliche as that sounds, it’s a good quality SD/MicroSD reader/writer! What’s most surprising is how they got a micro USB to be merged in with a regular USB. I’ve honestly never seen that done before, but it feels incredibly sturdy (more so than a standard micro USB connector). Transfer speeds are good, and had no troubles dumping what files I needed to. It’s compact, nicely priced, good quality, and perfectly functional. Used on Windows 10, with SD card successfully read on a Pocket PC.

This is a great device to back up your camera pictures to your smart phone. When going on vacation to adventure destinations where your camera can be dropped into a raging river, off a cliff or into the ocean, this is a great device to back up your pictures to a second device. Easy to use and fairly inexpensive, this worked great on my vacation. I was able to copy pictures from my SD card which my DSLR uses onto my phone. I also backed up the pictures to another USB memory stick which allows three copies of pictures with ease for peace of mind.
