I bought this for a glass subway tile backsplash knowing I would not drill anything. Heavy duty Gorilla tape initially did not adhere well to rear of the walnut holder, but a second try using 9 pieces each 1-7/8 inches long installed vertically on the back of the magnetic holder worked. With the clear protector still on the pieces of two-sided tape, place the wooden holder on a flat surface (back down on a kitchen counter) and apply pressure for an hour or so. Carefully remove the clear protector material (not as simple as it might seem), then position the piece near the desired location, press it in place and you are done.

You can find a knife holder just about anywhere for cheaper, however what you can't find anywhere else is quality, craftsmanship, and made in America for this price. My wife and I are trying to buy more American products as time goes on because these are people just like us who have the American dream and they need support. Off topic....I have used a couple other knife holders in the past. 1. Ikea - Works fine till you move then breaks and dulls your knives. 2. One from Target (wont mention the name), which worked fine IF you hung your knives upside down so the hilt stopped them from falling (dangerous). Not only do I not have a problem with that issue here, this magnet almost pulled the first drywall screw I used out of the wall when I removed my knife. I readjusted my poor handyman skills and voila, it sits perfect. The holes for the screws to fit in work really well. Find a screw that has the same thickness as the slot and this thing snaps snugly right into it. The wood quality is more than I would have expected and would look right at home in a million dollar home. The package includes the knife magnet block, drywall anchors and bolts. Easy to install, easy to use, and sexy as heck! PS: Anna don't drink too much after this review.

I bought it when I moved into my new apt. I hung it on the wall my self, it was pretty simple using a level and putting the screws into the wall. It's pretty great how strong it is, I have a curved breaker knife, a santoku, the strainer, and a thermometer as well. I've put all the knives on there to see if it would hold up and sure enough, it did (helps that I used the anchors into the drywall). If I run out of space I know I'll buy another one for sure since most of our knives have wood handles, so it keeps the wood theme we got going in the kitchen. Great product for sure!

I am thrilled with this Walnut Magnetic Knife Holder I purchased for my travel trailer. After slicing my finger digging through the tiny drawer reaching for a knife, I decided to find an attractive magnetic holder to install on the side of the fridge next to the sink. I'm very particular about aesthetics inside the small space of the trailer, so opted to spend a little more for the wood look vs. the less expensive metallic ones. I am SO happy that I did. Not only is it a classy look with the beautiful wood, it blends in nicely on the surface it's attached to, and the magnet area is plenty strong. I currently have five knives attached, making it so convenient and obviously less hazardous than stuck in a drawer. My husband installed it with the supplied screws and it works great. I would definitely consider this knife holder for any household purchase, and am so pleased with it for my trailer. Highly recommend!

Was tidying up my kitchen and decided it was better to hang the kitchen knives on the wall. The piece of wood itself is not that heavy so I was little skeptical it could hold a strong magnet, but it does the job solid. Wood is smooth and feels like it’s made of good quality. Knives stay on fine and does not feel loose at all. They provide the screws and anchors. Assembly was very easy, it took less than 10 minutes. I am enjoying the product and would recommend it to others.

This is my second time purchasing this item. The first i used in my bathroom(i know) for small metal clippers and scissors. I found that the magnets were very strong so i gave it a try so i could eliminate my knife block. Totally strong enough for knives. I love that this is made of real wood, looks great, and also made in USA. I am not sure what else they make but i would love to see. Andrew

I don't often write a review, but am of course always paying attention to other reviews. I am a hobbyist woodworker and seriously considered just making this item myself, but the reasonableness of the price made me just buy it. I'm glad I did. I must say that the magnets are incredibly strong. I have no worries that my knives, regardless of how big, will stay securely in place. This was my primary concern both for safety and care of my knives. Having said that, as a woodworker, I pay close attention to the craftsmanship. I can't imagine making this any better myself. In fact, I don't think I could. Beautiful grain, invisible seam, flawless finish...all trademarks of a skilled craftsman and somebody who CARES about their product. I would not hesitate to buy again!

This magnetic knife holder worked wonderfully it was pricey but of course this has the strongest pull of any of the magnetic strips I own. I trust this with my Cleavers and more expensive knives knowing there will be no damage to them since this bad boy holds on to them. Also it is looks beautiful.

I had to be a bit creative, as the place I wanted to install the holders wasn't wide enough. I purchased them 2 years ago, and they are still working fine. Magnet is solid, can be used for any 10+ inch knives even with full bolster and heavy handles like wusthof. Advice: Turn the knife sharp side to yourself (90 degrees against the holder) when taking off the knife so the sharpen side won't impact the holder and your knife won't chip, or harm the wooden holder. Wood > Metal for knife holders.

This product is beautiful! The only problem is the paper they supply as an outline is off. I put 2 of these next to each other and used the measurements on the paper cut out and ended up having space between them because it was off. Other than that I have zero problems and I am super happy with everything. They supplied everything needed with good instructions and it holds all my knives and metal ladles perfectly, not too strong or weak. Plus, it looks like a decoration!
