Bought this to clean the sensor on my Nikon d7100. I'd blow it off from time to time but that never quite got everything clear and eventually I ended up with 3 or 4 big stubborn spots that wouldn't go away. I was a little hesitant after reading some warnings about cleaning your own sensor but was so frustrated with those spots I decided to give it a shot. I followed the YouTube directions exactly and ended up using all 6 swabs (3 cleanings). You really only need a misting on the wet swab and there were no streaks that i could see. My sensor is completely clean now so I'm happy.

Bought this product as a cheap alternative to some of the more expensive kits and was impressed. I liked that there were instructions included in an online video if you had never cleaned your sensor before like I hadn't. I liked that it did not leave streaks and that it could be used on the sensor and on the lenses. I also liked that all the products came in case to keep all your cleaning supplies in one place in your camera bag. I would purchase this again as opposed to purchasing these items individually.

I purchased a used Canon 5D Mark II and after taking a few shots of landscapes, sunsets, or anything with a light background I noticed severe spots. I was devastated that I purchased a camera with what I thought was a bad censor. After I did some searches about my situation I came to 2 conclusions, send the camera in for cleaning, or repair, or try a censor cleaning kit. WOW is all I can say it worker a lot better than I thought. As you can see in the before and after shots, it works great! I probably should have used more cleaner on my first round of cleaning, but each situation will differ. First photo was after my first attempt, then the next one I could barley believe the difference, finally the last two swabs were used. Look on YouTube for directions, they explain it perfectly. I have ordered more swabs just in case. The kit comes with everything you need for cleaning lenses also, with a case that keeps things secure and clean. All of my camera cases hold most cleaning supplies, but anybody that drags a bunch of lenses and cameras know that everything gets jumbled up. With this case, I put it in my camera bag and everything is in 1 place. Great kit!

Wonderful product. Cheap and got the job done. I bought a Sony A7ii recently off Craigslist with a 50mm. I never noticed the spots on my sensor until I bought some extension tubes to play around with macro photos. That's when I saw the horrid spots. So I ordered this kit to try to clean my sensor. It arrived to today and I dove right in. Everything was there as expected plus a little note about how they strive for full satisfaction. I will include pictures of the process. Online, instructions said to use a different swab if everything doesn't come off the first time, but I just reused the first one and was extremely pleased with the results anyway.

First, for anyone worried about cleaning your own sensor, don't be. It is remarkably simple and this kit has a pretty good instruction sheet inside and there is no shortage of videos on YouTube about it. As for me, the Altura Photo Professional Cleaning Kit is exactly what I needed. I shoot with a Sony alpha77ii with an APS-C sensor and I had noticed photo quality was declining. The self-cleaning function helped a little but not enough. I went to get it cleaned at a local shop and they wanted almost $100 to clean the sensor, so I laughed and ordered this kit. It has everything you could really need, including a filter rocket. The main draw for me though was the sensor swabs, they seem very well made, and the solution. It took me a grand total of under 5 minutes to clean the sensor and the photos are back to their original quality. My advice using the kit, don't be over zealous with the spray (you don't want streaks) and be prepared to use 2 swabs, one wet one dry, if you do use too much spray. I wish Altura Photo offered the swabs separately since the solution will last me until I die but there are only 6 swabs. The reason I went with this kit instead of swabs alone from a different manufacturer is that I needed a new blower and the extra lens pen is always nice.

I decided one day that I needed to give my camera gear a deep cleaning and that's how I came to this kit. The kit itself is housed in a nice caring black case which is key to keep everything clean and organized. It also fits into my camera bag which is a plus so its always ready when I need it. Previously I have been pulling out a used microfiber rag that was sitting in a dirty camera bag (not good). I specifically ordered the wider swabs to use on my full frame sensor and I can tell you as nervous as I was it was a breeze to clean. This seller has included links to his YouTube tutorials on how to clean with their products so it's very simple and easy to use. The cleaning solution is safe for all lens and it has done an AMAZING job cleaning everything from the lens glass to the camera body and sensor. Seriously looked like a mirror finish when I was done. The previous cleaner I was using worked OK but not to this extent. Also I want to note the large cleaning cloth is a MUST. I never realized until I used it how much I was missing out on this! Over all great cleaning kit. I have been using it for a few weeks and there is plenty of solution to spare. It does beyond with you think it will. I highly recommend this to any photographer as this is a simple solution that works very well.

I bought this primarily to clean the sensor on my Canon T7i. After two years of use, one of those being in a desert environment, it was dirtier than I realized. It took four swabs to get it back to a pristine state, but the process itself is rather painless, and Digital Goja has video instructions on YouTube to guide you through it. Being able to clean the sensor myself, thus avoiding sending my camera out to have it done and paying four or five times the price of the kit would have been a great deal all by itself, but the added items included, the soft brush, the lens tissue, cleaning fluid, micro-fiber cloth and blower, rubber fingerprint eraser, have added a whole new level of confidence in keeping my equipment clean. I should have purchased this the same day I bought my camera. The pictures should give you a good idea as to how effective the sensor cleaning was. If you need a cleaning kit for your camera you don't need to look any further than those offered by this company.

I bought this because I had found my sensor had 3 spots on it, that I could see and no one else... Upon further inspection, and being told to photoshop the picture to show more contrast and dropping down white and highlights, I found I had hundreds of spots. Mostly on the upper left hand corner. I received this yesterday, took me less than 2 minutes. I used very little to no liquid while watching youtube video they recommended and though I counted about 11 hard to see spots, I am VERY happy with the results. This was used on a Nikon D90 that I bought about 2012 and has never been cleaned until yesterday. Amazing product and I loved the case it came in. Figured I'd probably store the stuff it came with in another place and use case to carry batteries/cards/adapters/etcetera... sMall items I don't want to lose.

Honestly, I wish I had bought this years ago but have been too scared to clean my own camera sensor. This company includes a link to a YouTube video explaining how to do it which takes most of the worry out of it. The kit also includes various other high-quality product which adds up to this being an absolute bargain. I used this kit on a Canon EOS 5D Mk. II and it did an absolutely fantastic job, really pleased. Pros The kit is jam-packed with everything you will need to keep your body and glass in top shape The kit comes in a shell case that is ideal for traveling, just throw it in your camera bag and go The makers took the time to produce a YouTube video explaining how to use the product. Cons Really only thing I was a little disappointed with was the number of sensor swabs, it comes with just 6 which is about enough to do 2 or 3 sensor cleans. Though to be fair, you should not need to clean the sensor as often as the rest of the camera. The lack of abundant swabs isnt that huge a deal though not when the rest of the product is such high quality.

Had a major issue with dust and debris on the sensor of my Canon 5D Mark II. Ordered this kit (including the cleaning solution), and now can shoot at any f stop without the photos being unusable (Yes, it was that bad that even using my well known Adobe programs would have taken way too long to clean up the mess, especially at f/22). I'd already tried cleaning the sensor several times, but didn't have any cleaning fluid, and honestly, was kind of afraid to use anything liquid. Did my research, and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. Just a word of caution. The swabs included in this kit are specifically for crop factor cameras, so I'll save those for my 7D II. I already had some full frame swabs that I used instead. Speaking of swabs, I found they work better if you bend the stems before attempting to swab the sensor. Much less chance of scratching or breaking the sensor than applying pressure on it by trying to bend the swab while on the sensor. Love the little case too. Very handy for keeping things together and in one place. I'm notorious for losing small camera gear, which is why I'm so happy this set came with the lens pen type brush. Had a larger one for years, but of course, I have no clue where it's hiding, now that I need it. Interesting note..... photos look much much better (used a blue sky as my tester), but when I look in the view finder, all the "stuff" I saw is still showing (including what looks to be a dead ant...... don't ask.. I haven't a clue.. LOL), but if that's where all that stuff is, no worries, as that doesn't show up in the photos. Just annoying to see in the view finder. Looks like this east coast gal is going to have to get used to all the dust here in the desert and how it seeps into everything. Seriously considering keeping my raincoat (camera version) on the camera at all times. Very pleased with this little set, and glad I ordered it. And very happy to report that I am no longer afraid to mess around with the most important part of my expensive cameras.
