Very good product. I compared these at room temperature, refrigerator and freezer. They recorded exactly the same and also the same as an existing thermometer. They couldn't be easier to use - foolproof. I read a one star review that faulted these thermometers because they recorded a 1º difference in temperature. The manufacturer claims a +- variation of 2º is within tolerance so the one star review seems unfair. Mine were right on to the tenth of a degree. Highly recommended.

We have been having issues with our refrigerator warming up and cooling down and finally got it fixed. However, we were concerned it may be doing it when we are not home and we would have no knowledge of it. This perfect little thermometer is the ideal solution and is keeping a good record of highs/lows so we we feel more comfortable that the food is staying at the proper temperature. A fantastic little device and I would highly recommend it to anyone even if you don't have temperature issues. You may have them and not be aware. The owner of the company sent a personal note and we thought that was some of the best customer service you can find in this day and age.

Fridge and freezer went on the fritz; husband wanted to just buy new, but YouTube to the rescue, we found enough info to order a sensor ($14) and install ourselves. Fixed! Then, I realized I was overdue for having thermometers in fridge and freezer, so read the Amazon reviews. Decided I did not want any audible alarms going off,nor wires closed into the doors to have a digital readout on the outside, so I ordered the two-pack of these thermometers. At first I was ready to send them both back thinking they did not work correctly, but no, it was me not putting them deep enough into the fridge and freezer, so when the door opened they got a blast of warm air, giving me high readings. Now that they are situated correctly, I am pleased with them as they give consistent and accurate readings and match my digital readout on the outside -8 for the freezer and 38 for the fridge. They also give the highs and lows which reflect the defrost cycling. Each one came with its own tiny screw driver and additional battery (so you receive 4 batts total - two installed and two extras).

I just bought a new refrigerator with a 3rd compartment for meat. I was concerned that the temperature didn’t seem particular cold at 29F so I bought these thermometers to test it out. I was happy to learn that my new fridge is working fine. The thermometers were very easy to use. They came in separate boxes with its own tiny screwdriver. It’s was very easy to use—just push the power button. I first tested for consistency by placing them next to each other on the kitchen counter. In the 1st minute, there was a discrepancy of 0.8F which was good since the manual said there could be a +/-2.0F. After 10 minutes, the difference was only 0.1F which gave me confidence in the product. I loved that the thermometers also record the lowest and highest temp. If you look at the second picture (after 10 min) the lowest temp recorded was the same on both thermometers. I was quite impressed and satisfied with this product that I looked to see if they also make a meat thermometer that I could buy but unfortunately, they do not. Anyway, I’ve used these thermometers for almost a week now and checking every so often, the temperature readings matched up with the my refrigerator’s built-in digital readings. The meat drawer is pretty constant and consistent between the built-in Ans Unigear thermometers. The readings for the main compartment changed up and down depending on how often it was opened and did have a difference of +/-1.5F compared to my fridge’s built-in thermometer. However, the built-in thermometer only records whole numbers like 37F and not 37.1F like the Unigear thermometers. I hope these thermometers will last a long time; for now, I’m very happy with them.

Purchased 3 of these, which arrived a day ahead of projected delivery . . . well executed by seller. A further follow up note to my email by the supplier is a great confidence builder. Even though (having tested side by side) the results were slightly different they all function well enough. After all, I am not refrigerating medications, otherwise I would be purchasing scientific grade. So while others gripe about small discrepancies I say they work good in our refrigerator. Curious to find out the temperature in our Arizona home during summer while (Us Snowbirds) migrate north. I will use one, and put to that test,

I knew I wanted 3 thermometers: One for each side of the refrigerator/freezer, and one for the chest freezer. Initially, I was only interested in an old fashioned dial type thermometer. While reading a few dial thermometer reviews that questioned their accuracy, I read a review where the person said he had purchased these thermometers and was very happy with them. He also talked about the benefit of the min/max readings, and mentioned that would be good to have because it would tell the user if the temperature had gotten too high any any point in time. Such could be the case if you had a power outage while on vacation, or the refrigerator or freezer had an intermittent failure. Reading more reviews showed that many people were happy with these. I bought a 2-pack, and a single pack, all at the same time. The 2-pack was wrapped together. Whether it has anything to do with anything or not: The 2-pack thermometers read the same (or very close to each other). The other one always reads noticeably different. Not bad. Not what I would consider "out of range." But different. In the first picture you can see how all three compare to two HVAC dial thermometers that I use. I can't really say which style is the accurate reading because I do not have any expensive equipment to measure temperature. While in the refrigerator: All 3 are within 2.5* of each other. I am certainly happy with that. While in the chest freezer: All 3 are within 0.5*. That is fantastic! If I never come back and update this review: It means that these continue to work well for me. If any of them fail within a time frame that I feel is too soon; I will post an update.

These thermometers are very accurate, and match the temperature readings from each other and the refrigerator itself. I can replace the CR 2032 batteries by removing the four screws at the corners in the back using a #0 2 Philips screwdriver. I then needed to pry open the case, but be very very careful because there is a fragile wire running from the battery compartment to the thermistor on the back cover. I broke the first one by using too much force before I knew that the wire was there and connected both parts. My first purchase has lasted over two years in the freezer and refrigerator.

I ordered the refrigerator thermometers to solidify my suspicions that my freezer was a little warmer that it should be. Yes, 26 degrees is not zero, and the refrigerator section was 4 degrees above the set point. I do have a problem. Anyone with a refrigerator should have a pair of these in use at all times to get a heads up about what the temperature is compared to what it should be. Waiting for the milk to turn to cheese is not a good alarm system. I put both thermometers in the same environment as a test and they were at most 0.5 degrees apart or less - good enough. Five stars.

I needed a thermometer to measure the temperature in my resin hot box. For the price, this pack of 2 thermometers was very reasonable. I didn't need two when I purchased these, but the second one has already found a place to earn its keep. The units are pretty small and unobtrusive - with the hanging hook I'm able to set up the thermometer so it's out of the way. The display is easy to read even under the overturned plastic bin I use to house the hot box. When I checked the two units against each other the displayed temp was within half a degree, so they seem accurate. Since so many commented about the battery compartment in the reviews I read, I wanted to check that feature out. It's very easy to remove the back - yes, you need a little screwdriver, but that's already been handled since a super cute screwdriver is included with the thermometer. I stuck mine in my toolbox and actually already used it to wiggle the lock loose when my 3 year old friend "accidentally" locked the bathroom door before closing the door and walking off. ;) It may take an extra 90 seconds to open the compartment - not a big deal to me as I doubt the batteries will fail often enough to cause problems. Temperature readings change rapidly when the units are moved from hot to cold (or cold to hot) environments. Bottom Line: Very easy to program/operate. The display is clear and easy to read. The units appear to report accurate readings when compared to each other. Easy to hang or stand up. I really like these and feel the price was fair. The seller shipped very quickly and packaged the thermometers for safe transport. Great transaction and nice thermometers that should last a long time. The press of a button allows the temperature to display in Celsius or Fahrenheit. I'm not sure what else I would expect from a thermometer - these cover all the bases.

The thermometers worked out well. They are very close in temperature to each other when placed next to each other. This is one of those things in life I must point out... I have never owned or even used or heck opened a refrigerator that had a temperature reading. They usually have this number 1 being warm and 9 the coldest. How important is temperature to maintaining food preservation? I own a $2300 Frigidaire and it has no temperature gauge!? What I have learned is that the top part of my refrigerator is colder than the bottom. Also, for years I have been setting the refrigerator on setting number 7 which turns out to be a little colder than it needs to be in order to keep the eggs at a good temperature. Oh well. My $650 iPhone has an airplane mode but no car mode to stop texting and driving and oops vehicular manslaughter. Anyways, lets get back to capitalistic engineering or whatever.
