High quality tape for less.

I sell a bunch of stuff on ebay and I have tried different brands of clear packing tape. The cheaper kinds are thin with almost no adhesive on the tape. You have to double up or overlap where you started so it would stick to the tape. It can't stay in place if it's directly on carton box. This one on the other hand is the complete opposite. It is noticably thicker and it sticks good to boxes. I don't have to double up anymore which in turn saves material and money. I'm very satisfied with this brand it is just as good as the brand names. Update 1-7-17 For those in a budget and looking for a good tape without paying premium prices dont look any further, these are the one you want. I hope the manufacturer don't increase their price or change anything for I will always buy these.

My First & Only Review Because THIS TAPE IS EXCELLENT

I have ordered hundreds of things from Amazon over the years and I have never left a review for a single item I've bought. I have an Etsy shop and go through a LOT of packing tape. I have tried many brands of tape and shopped around for a while before I settled on Tape King. I read all the reviews for this item and they weren't entirely helpful, but I decided to purchase it anyway. I LOVE THIS TAPE. A lot of the negative reviews focus on how noisy the tape is and how it smells a little funky. Yes, it is pretty loud when you unspool it (I may have woken my husband up once or twice while packing orders late at night!), but most tapes are. Same can be said about the smell of the adhesive. What matters most to me is the quality and durability of the product, and Tape King tape exceeded my expectations. It is slightly thinner than other tapes I've used (Scotch and Duck brands), but is SO MUCH BETTER than anything I've used in the past! I had difficulty with Duck in particular, as the tape always lifted off the cardboard packages within an hour of my packing them. I've been using Tape King tape for a couple months now, and it has never lifted off the cardboard or come undone on its own. This tape has the perfect amount of adhesive, is the perfect thickness, and allows me to ship all of my packages with confidence. On top of all that, the price is unbeatable!! I cannot recommend this product enough. It's the only tape I'll use from here on out!

In my experience with packing boxes, there is cheap tape, good tape, and not-worth-the-money-expensive-premium-tape - these "tape king" rolls are the good stuff. It's thick enough that it doesn't rip to shreds vertically like the cheap stuff, and if you peel carefully you can get a very clear result. I'll probably get another batch when I run out. For what it's worth I paid full price and found this stuff on my own. Only mentioning that because a different brand I purchased first (and subsequently returned) turned out to be filled with "paid reviews".

So, I bought this 6 pack because I was moving out of my 2 BR/2BA apartment. Having previously used a different brand (that shall remain unnamed), I thought it would be best to be safe than sorry and buy a lot of tape because I wasn't familiar with the brand, and I was concerned that it would hold the boxes closed as poorly as the previous brand I used. I was actually amazed and impressed (by tape, of all things) because this crap is amazing. It fit perfectly on the tape gun I had and it did the job--keeping the boxes closed. They didn't mysteriously open up overnight like a ghost had been rummaging through my stuff, and I didn't have to worry that the bottom was going to fall out when the movers came. I ended up only using 3 of the 6 rolls of tape. Between college, post-grad and various adventures, I have done my share of moving--you know how it is. So when you find good moving supplies at a decent price, it's almost like finding a 50 dollar bill on the street. I fully endorse this product, despite the fact I didn't get this for free, or cheaper than usual, and I'm not a paid spokesperson.

Heavy Duty Industrial Strength at a consumer friendly Price Point | My "Go to" tape of choice.

A bit stinky but the good kind of Stink That industrial strength Stank That no messing around Smell That "all business" Stench. This is heavy duty tape but at a price point that is much more affordable than name brands. Have had zero misfires or tangles with this tape and because its strong i have found myself having to use much less of it. The only tape i will buy currently because i feel i dont need to experiment, i found the best bang for buck tape in my honest opinion.

Nice tape, sticks well and has a nice thickness to it.

Not sure what to expect due to conflicting reviews. I own a store and use packing tape daily, I love the length of the roll, nice to not have to change as often... however the size does limit your dispenser. I have older versions that hold any size and newer ones that came for free with other packing tape and those dispensers will not hold this size of a roll. The thickness of a tape is crucial to me, I did not want tape to be so thin it breaks easily, this tape is the perfect medium. Not as thick as Costo brand, but really I did not need it that thick, just to do what it is supposed to do with no effort, not to be flimsy, not to break early and fold over on itself, and to be sticky enough to hold well with one strip. This tape fills all my needs and would definitely be back to buy more when needed. For as much as you get, the price was great. I paid around $75 ish at the time of my purchase.

Quality tape for the price.

I am a total tape weirdo. I use tape for everything, shipping, protecting, fixing, etc. Two of the biggest annoyances of cheap shipping tape is that it is so thin that it is hard for it to lay flat, you get folds a lot, and when peeling it off the roll it can tear. Tape King shipping tape is very good for the price. It is definitely higher quality tape than tape in the similar price range. It is thicker than a lot of cheap tape, lays flat well, and resists tearing when taking it off the roll. However, some brand names have some thicker better quality tape but not near the price point of the Tape King.

While there may have been a bad batch of tape that I received, they are willing to refund my money on this issue, I have agreed to try a new batch in the future. Win/win!!! This is how to take care of customers!!! Edit Sept 27, 2017 I have tried the new batch of tape and can happily confirm that it works great! I have adjusted my rating to 5 stars because the company has adjusted their formula and it is now much better. It lives up to my expectations and I would recommend this product to everyone.

Great Packing Tape for the Price

When I considered writing a review about packing tape I thought my recommendation would be based simply on whether it does the job of sealing packages or not. But when I received this bundle I realized there was a bit more to it. First and foremost, it's a bargain. For $2 a roll you get 60 yards of tape. As a comparison-a similar package of Scotch brand tape runs a $1 more per roll or $6 more per package. At the same time the Scotch version is about 5 yards less of tape on each roll. The TapeKing Tape fits snugly on an industrial type dispenser and resists cracking and shredding, a problem I've had in the past with other tapes. Admittedly, some people don't use a lot of packing tape, but I have relatives scattered across the country and at holiday time I do go through a lot of tape. Additionally, I do return the occasional item to Amazon and that requires a secure type tape as well. I recommend this tape for its functionality and price.

It sticks!

We had 2 different brands (name brands that have been around for a long time) of tape that we were using to pack. I ordered this when we were running out of them, and I'm so glad I did. Unlike both of the other brands, tape King stuck to every box and storage container, even the ones that were dusty, had rough surfaces, or were smooth and shiny. I was very pleased! Occasionally the tape would split vertically, but no more than the other brands did. Packing to move still wasn't fun, but it's definitely good to have tape that works well!
