Got this for my 17-month-old after she started saying "ABC." I love that it's fairly small, so it fits in my purse for car rides and trips. I'll take it without any letters forncar rides or a few letters in a ziplic bag for short trips. The magnets are all strong and it's easy for kids to put the magnets in the slot. This plays the alphabet song and wheels on the bus, too. For each letter, it sings a little song that says the letter name and sound. I just wish they sold extra magnets or that the magnets were slightly larger, as one is already under our fridge. After having this about two weeks, my daughter had learned the letters through "P." Highly recommend.

This is pretty much the best toy EVER! my son is 19 months old, and a friend of ours had it at her house, and he played with it non-stop everytime we were there, so I got him one for our house. If you have learned to tune out the noise making toys, you won't mind this one. It sounds out each letter, and sings the wheels on the bus. Everything sticks to the fridge, and some do end up on the floor, because hey! a Toddler is playing with it, c'mon. We take that opportunity to learn about picking up, and putting them back on the fridge, like the 'clean up' song. Wonderful toy. Gift it for sure for a 1 year old birthday, great learning tool!!

My child is right next to me as I type this review. He's so excited seeing it on the computer. lol I have to say this is a MUST HAVE for your little toddler. We bought this for my son for Christmas. Two weeks after him playing with it he knew every letter of the alphabet. He was 20 months at the time. Now he is a little over 2 years old. He mostly just plays with the magnetic letters and not so much the bus, but when he first got it the bus was a big deal. Anyways, I think it is a great way to help your toddler learn the alphabet. =) Also... the magnets are nice and strong, plus they are covered... no little magnet pieces falling out like other magnet letters.

I LOVE this toy. My daughter is 16 months old and has been playing with it for a few months. We're working on the ABCs with her and it teaches the letter, sound and sings songs. I bought this because she is still putting things in her mouth and the magnets are too large to swallow and they're housed inside the plastic letter so they can't come loose and be lost or swallowed. It occupies her for a little while while I cook. I taught her to move them from the fridge and put them on the dishwasher so that gets her moving from one end of the room to the other and keeps her occupied a bit longer. I love this product so much I would definitely buy this as a gift and I've told many parents about it.

I definitely didn't have any of the issues mentioned in the bad reviews. I don't have issues with letter sounds and I don't mind the word choices, while they are odd, it's not a big deal. I don't use this tool as a teaching tool, more like entertainment while cooking. I also recommend an adult be present while being used so they can ensure the letters and sounds are being said properly. This would also make a great opportunity to introduce other words in their daily routines/likes that are associated with the letters. By all means, if letters are messed up or missing, return the item. But don't assume this as your only teaching tool without adult interaction and input. I also highly recommend Preschool Prep for teaching alpahbet, letter recognition and letter sounds. Once again, adult in put and interaction required. This is also a great tool for a your Toddler's gross motor skills, putting the letters in correctly and pressing the letters and the music all note button for sounds/songs. Your kid(s) can also line the letters up in the correct order, make words, digraphs, and blends. This 'toy' is so much more than letter sounds.

I purchased these magnets to go along with a magnet board I made for my son's 2nd birthday. Placing a letter into the bus plays a catchy little phonics song (the same song from the letter factory if you're familiar with that DVD). The bus also has a music button that plays the ABC song and Wheels On the Bus, both of which my toddler loves shaking his hips to. I've attached a photo of this magnet set on an oil drip pan I purchased from Walmart for $9. This is a great addition to his playroom that's going to make learning ABC's a lot of fun!

My son is 16 months old and I bought these magnets for his Easter basket. He absolutely loves them. I was worried they would scratch the refrigerator, so I put them on our dishwasher instead. I shouldn't have worried - no scratches - even when he gets a little overzealous placing them on the magnetic surface (sometimes they do end up on our fridge). He really enjoys dancing to the songs and will pull his bench in front of the dishwasher to sit and play with these magnets. I am impressed with the phonetic software, as well. Leapfrog used a catchy tune to teach kids what sound each letter uses with one push. Push the magnet a second time and the bus uses the letter and sound in a sentence. Wonderful product.

These were a much better deal on amazon than Walmart. They were 19.99 a piece on walmart.com and they didnt have the number set just the alphabet set. Amazon offered me a price of 14.99 each if I bought both so of course I went for it. My nephew had the alphabets when he was little and with me having a 1yr old and another due in Feb I try to get similar toys when possible to keep them from fighting later. Lol I love the whole leapfrog series and will continue to buy them for my kids. They provide wholesome and educational entertainment at the same time. It's so hard to find way to teach those little minds and leapfrog makes my job as their mom a little but easier.

Best refrigerator toy ever! My daughter was around 10 months old when we got this. I bought it because she loves playing with the magnets on the fridge and it keeps her entertained while I cook dinner. Although a lot of the reviews said not to get it for a child under the age of two, I made my own executive decision and got it anyway. Best decision! She absolutely loves it! She is still working on putting the letters into the base, but for now she enjoys taking the letters on and off the fridge. And of course she loves putting them in her mouth, which is totally fine because they are too big to be hazardous and they have no electronics in them. Her favorite thing is to push the music button that plays “The Wheels on the Bus,” and the “A, B, C” song then look at me to make me sing along! She gets so excited! I push the letters in for her too, so she can hear the sounds and as she gets older I know she’ll be able to do that in her own. Awesome purchase!

I bought this for my twin girls when they were 18 months old and had to put it away for a while because all it was being used for was being tossed acrossed the room, etc. I recently brought it back out because they are 26 months old now. They are actually learning from it and aside from my more destructive twin occasionally still throwing the letters, actually playing with it. I recommend it if you have a child over the age of 2!
