As good as mounts costing $100 or more

As good as mounts costing $100 or more. Easy to install - was able to install and mount my 37" TV without any help. Larger TVs may require a second person. The unit mounts vertically on a wall stud - finding the stud is the only challenge. Since wall outlets are nailed to a stud, I located a stud by drilling 1" inch or so from a wall plug. To insure the wall plate is level, add the top screw; level, then bottom screw. Middle screw last. The instructions on determining the height are overly complicated. Since the TV is mounted next to a standing height work table, I measured my standing eye height, then subtracted the offset (mounting plate was 2" off center of TV) then aligned the center of the mount with that height. I used the PowerBridge in-wall cable system to hide cable runs.

Don't Give Up on this Mount

I was ready to give up and return this mount because the back of my TV has some extrusions that didn't allow the mount to screw in until I realized it included some optional spacers and I was able to complete the installation. This is a very well designed and built product

High quality TV wall mount easily installed by one person

This is a well engineered, high quality TV mount. The metal parts move smoothly, have no play and the powder black finish looks nice. I was impressed with the quality and ease of installation. You can set the swing arm tension so there is a smooth and even resistance, and the TV stays put. One important detail that every DIY installer would want to know is, how do I connect the TV to the wall bracket, or do I put it all together (TV and all) then try to mount it on the wall? Do I need a buddy to hold up the whole thing for the final install? Surprisingly this detail is missing from most product descriptions. This one at least, you can install easily by yourself, because the backing plate which screws on to the back of your TV, will slide in easily and hang securely from the wall bracket arm. You can then install the screws to secure the connection. You don't need to hold up the TV end while you do this. It's quite well thought out.

Great purchase. Would buy again. In fact I am going to buy another one. First of all, at less than $25, this is a steal compared to other wall mounts at retail stores and other online sellers. Second, super easy installation. It took me about an hour and fifteen minutes. But it only took me that long because I'm a neat freak, super anal, and neurotic about putting holes in my wall. And also because no one would answer my calls or texts when I called for help attaching my 43 inch TV to the mounted bracket. I had to jury rig a ladder and grow a third arm to do it myself. My friends are bums. I'm deducting half a star because I don't like the way the cover attaches to the wall portion of the bracket. As far as I can figure, it doesn't snap into place. It just hangs there. It looks fine when you carefully cover the arm with the cover, but since it doesn't snap into place it comes right off when you move the arm. I'll have to get some double sided tape. Edit: Never mind. The cover just snaps into place. Derp!

A 10mm socket wrench is a must have!

Easy installation. *make sure to have a 10mm socket wrench to install bolts! Can be frustrating to use a screw driver. Easy to do with socket wrench!

Great quality, got a deal. Fairly easy to install.

Solid, easy to install, and holds the TV well. Good range of motion and adjustments. Includes a weird wrench thing that fits the bolts for adjustment if you don't have one to leave around for adjustments later. Plenty of extra hardware and pieces you probably won't need. You will need a drill to install it of course, and it should be in a stud. A level is included and you can also adjust rotation of the TV slightly after the fact if the TV is not quite level after installing. Arm moves easily once installed. Be sure to tighten the tilt adjustment or the TV will tilt on its own. I have mounted a 43" TV so it's not a very heavy load for this mount.

The swing out design is great for access to the rear of the TV Set.

Used this on an 80” Vizio E Series (2017). With a TV this Big you want to be able to get behind it to access the connectors. The swing out design is great for that. My wife and I put this 113lb TV on this mount ourselves! It is not designed for a Center stud. The mount should not be modified in any way. With that said, I’ve attached a photo of a quick fabrication job with a couple 3 foot long bar stock steel that may allow someone to use this mount on a three stud span. You can see in the photo the metal bars are screwed to the studs and the mount is bolted to the steel bar-stock. This mount is wood 2x4 studs. It is NOT FOR STEEL STUDS, it is NOT FOR BRICK SURFACES as noted in the directions.

Amazon is the man! This is a quality wall mount for a great price! I was worried it might be cheap or feel inadequate. No dice! This thing is legit. It is fully articulated, so it moves in just about any way you'd want up/down, side/side, tilt, it provides plenty of viewing angles. It is also very well built. It is solid metal with heavy duty hinges. It's not messing around, this mount means business. Installation was relatively painless, it does help to have a second person for when you are trying to center/level the mount, and the step of hanging the TV, but one person could definitely swing it if you were feeling frisky. Don't be scared by the price. This is not junk. It isn't going to break the first time you look at the TV funny. It's a serious wall mount for an unbeatable price.

Bought two for two TVs

Trashed an old entertainment center after decided to wall mount our TVs. 50" in the living room, 42" in the bedroom. Loved that that kit comes with instructions, a level, and tool. Step one: figure out how to mount the arms to your TV (Look up the TV manufacturer and product serial number). Once screwed on, set aside. Step two: figure out where the closest stud is for where you want it. Step three: drill your holes using the provided paper and a level (use a drill bit bigger than it talks about). Step four: attach the wall mount to the wall with screws. Get the level out and make sure the arms and mount is completely level. Step five: loosen (do not remove) the two safety tilt screws and attach your tv to the wall mount (you need two people for this). Get the level, make sure the tv is straight on the mount, then tilt the tv to the desired angle. Tighten the two safety tilt screws. Step six: tighen all bolts every 2 months. You are set.

I have nothing but good things to say about amazon products. this product is no different. it was VERY EASY to install, the instructions were very straight forward. I installed it last night and it was a breeze. (my infant son was sleeping, I was alittle bit noisy while mounting, woke him up. angry wife. not good) the materials are very well made. I used this to install a 32 inch LG TV that I am using as a monitor.(720 is fine at this size, regardless of what others say, that you need 1080p) Only problem i really ran into was, trying to decide which lever to use. to use the middle measurement? or lay the leveler long side top/bottom and measure how straight the top/bottom of the mount is. I tried using both but it didn't match out. I ended up just laying the leveler long side top/bottom. (sorry i dont know how else to explain it). We ended up not using the wall mount that came with this set, it didn't look like it would be a solid hold. I purchased at Lowes a metal Anchor that supports up to 55lbs?. it was easy to install, as you just screw the anchor in, without needing to use a drill and hammer to install (thats what'd you do with the amazon included anchors) the weight of this mount is nothing too excessive. it is though, feels heavier than the actual 32 inch LG LED tv we installed. the angling to tilt the monitor is amazing. it is very solid, unlike the other knock-off brands you find on amazon that have problems with staying in place.
