This frame is AMAZING! The size, the clarity, all of the awesome features! I just LOVE the auto on/off and the crystal clear screen! In addition, this company's customer service is ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! I had little incident with our new puppy destroying the remote control...Ug! I contacted the seller through Amazon and they replied within minutes and in no time flat, have a replacement in the mail to me! I HIGHLY recommend this company and this product. Wanted the timer on/off but am pleasantly surprised with how much I like the motion sensor on/off

I keep a digital photo frame in my office and my last one "shot craps". They didn't have the same model any more so went in search of a new one. Wasn't sure about this one because I wanted the timer on/off function. This one has the motion sensor. But I am pleasantly surprised!!! I set it so that it doesn't go off while I'm at lunch and just generally out of my office. But I've 'tested' it (like when I come in in the mornings, etc) and you no more walk to the door than it picks up the motion. I am pleasantly surprised with how much I've liked the motion sensor on/off ability. The quality of the pictures is very good. I went with the 10" model because that is what fits in the space I use it for. So even though they call it the "10 inch model" the actual size of the frame is 9" wide and 7 1/2" tall. It has a "frame" around the outside so the actual size of the picture you see is about 1/2" smaller all the way around.

Great digital frame with an awesome display

Initial review: Disappointing so far. I have had frame for several weeks and it initially worked fine, or so I thought. Then I discovered it was not showing all the photos that I had loaded on the included USB drive. I then reformatted the USB drive as was recommended by the user's manual and I then reloaded my pictures. I even resized all of my pictures before reloading them back on the USB drive as is also recommended by the user's manual. Again, I have discovered that not all the pictures that I have loaded are being displayed. I have made sure the settings in the frame menu was set to sequential display, however, after a period of time and without completely displaying all my pictures sequentially, the photos begin to display randomly all on their own. Shortly after that, the frame goes back to the original picture that I have loaded on the USB drive and freezes. Nothing else happens until I turn the frame off. Restarting the frame gives me more of the same. I have even tried using a SD card instead of the USB drive and get the same results. After reading so many good reviews on this frame, I am disappointed and am just about ready to return it for a refund. When it works the display is awesome. Just can't get the thing to work like it should. I have emailed the company for a resolution of my problems. I will update my review after they attempt to provide a solution. Update: I received correspondence from the supplier that there was a firmware update that may help to fix the problems that I was experiencing with the frame. I downloaded the firmware and installed it in the frame and the updated firmware made all the difference in the world. I am now able to enjoy all the pictures that I've loaded on the frame (more than 1,700) with no glitches at all. Again, the display is awesome, and the included manual is very thorough, providing detailed information about the operation of the frame. I appreciate the responsiveness of the customer support staff as well. I am very pleased and satisfied.

Works great as a picture frame plus an unexpected invaluable feature for a family with young children

Happy owners since Christmas. The product works great as a picture frame after the firmware upgrade, which Amazon and Micca make really easy to apply (you get an email link to download the update file and the product itself comes with a memory card to put the file on and use right away). It is bright and visible from all angles. The motion detector is great - it turns on the picture instantly before you even realize that it was off when you were away. There are several modes to display the pictures that have different original proportions, including filling the frame (which cuts off sides that don't fit frame's screen ratio) or original ratio mode with black fillers on the sides. It recognizes vertical pictures with no problems. The screen size is perfect for a large room - it is not big enough to compete with a TV, but visible enough that you don't need binoculars to see the picture. But best of all for us turned out to be the video feature. The frame actually has audio speakers and is able to play many common formats of the video files (that you put on the memory card just like the photos). We have downloaded a few early language videos for a baby and our grandfather can bring the baby to sit in front of the frame and with just a couple of clicks on a remote control can start the video for the baby. The frame is switched back to the slide show when the baby had enough and next time the same video is played it actually resumes from the last moment where it was left off. We found the frame to be much more user friendly for the purpose of entertaining a baby than a tablet. This frame has larger viewing area than any tablet and you don't have to go through the lengthy swipes to find an app and then locate the video. With Micca getting to the videos is very quick and done on the remote control.

Reliable, moderately priced frame

Bought this unit as a replacement for an old frame that went belly-up after about 10 years. This one has better resolution and seems more reliable. It comes with an 8GB SD card which will hold thousands of photos and music. The frame has a "random" feature which will present the photos in pseudo-random order if you wish. I'm a little disappointed that it is not easier to organize the photos into folders that govern the order of presentation, but my old frame didn't do that either. The formats available for video playback are limited; many of my videos would not play without first converting them; and even then the frame had trouble with the larger ones. Using the clock and calendar feature, the frame can be set to automatically turn itself on and off at preset times. I like that this frame is completely self-contained in the sense that it doesn't require internet access or a subscription to work. Just load your pictures on the SD card and plug it in. Really simple.

So easy to set up. Great frame!

This frame is awesome. I gave it as a gift to my sister-in-law, and I put on it a slide show of more than 400 pictures of my late husband (her brother). It easily handled that many photographs. I had a problem with about 15 of the photographs showing up with a green cast, as if they weren't quite displaying correctly. I sent an email to the support email address on the frame, and they got back with me very quickly. They told me I needed a firmware update, and they sent me the file. While my sister in law was still here (it was around Christmastime), I was able to update the firmware and it solved the greenish problem. I also own a different older electronic frame made by a different company (it's probably six or seven years old), and it is so very hard to set up. You have to scroll through endless menus and it's not obvious how to do anything. With this frame, you simply plug in the SD card (and it also comes with the tiniest USB drive I've ever seen), and your slide show automatically runs. I didn't try music on my slide show, but I suspect that is also easy to do. The ONLY thing I wish was different on this frame is the frame itself. I wish it was a little more decorative, maybe like a nice wood frame or something like that. But otherwise, it is perfect.

Best In Class

The image quality is very good, and the sound is decent, given that you can't expect much from such a tiny speaker. It does a good job of properly orienting the photos. The unit is thin but sturdy, being made of metal rather than plastic. The stand is permanently affixed, and not a cheap plastic hoop like some of its competitors. I had no trouble getting it going. I have some experience with similar units in this price class, and this one is by far the best. I had to return the first one I received, as it developed a line of red pixels. The distributor was very responsive, but I wound up having to send it back to Amazon. I should note that I also returned two other units from other manufacturers that were defective. Maybe it's hard to produce a good frame at this price point, but I'm very satisfied with the replacement Micca that I received.

Simple, quick adn all-inclusive

Digital frames seem to be getting harder to find in stores now. I turned to Amazon after finding the only 14-15" frames available at store websites to have average to poor ratings. The frame arrived in a well packed box and is very handsome. it resembles a larger IPad when first viewed! While it does not have internal memory, It was supplied with a VERY well packaged 8GB thumb drive and case. This physically small drive is unobtrusive an almost invisible when inserted in the back of the frame. The power supply easily plugs in and automatically starts the slide show when booted up. Photo file loading and instructions were clear and in ENGLISH! I had this up and running in 5 minutes. Take note that photos should be resized to 1MB or less for ease in viewing which is also in the instructions! Excellent item and would buy it again if the need for another frame arises!

Don’t waste your money!

I purchased the 15” frame and it quit working within a year and Micca told me to send to them and they would fix it, which they did. I used it after I got it back and it quit working again in less then another year but now the warranty has expired. I believe it is the adapter so I have emailed Micca to 3 times to find the correct adapter but they have not answered any of my emails. I won’t waste my money on something that won’t last a year! Update - Micca finally responded to my issue and have gone out of their way to fix the issue I had with my picture frame. I would buy another one of their products the next time I’m in the market for the quality, customer service, and the way they stand by their product. For this I will give them 5 star rating!

Purchased Micca M1503Z 15-Inch Digital Photo Frame

This photo frame was purchased as a Mother's Day gift for my stepmother. She had been using her old XP computer only as a photo gallery. She doesn't use a computer anymore so I thought this would be a great idea. And it was! Initially, the picture download process was a challenge, but I got all of her pictures onto a flash drive. For some reason the frame did not recognize the flash drive I had. Luckily my laptop did so I copied the pictures from my flash drive onto the flash drive that's included with the frame which is 8 GB capacity. Mom had 1.4 GB of pictures so there's plenty of room for more. With all that said, the picture quality is great!! Operation is easy. Basically just plug and play. Mom loves it! I highly recommend this brand and size to all. Funny thing is, online is about the only place you can find digital photo frames. The only store (and I mean only in Wichita, KS anyway) where I could find one was at Walmart. They had a 7" and a 10 " Sylvania ($69 for the 10") which would probably work for some but mom's eyes aren't the best so this one was it. Micca has other sizes and prices to fit anyone's needs. Great job Micca and Amazon!!! My wife is so proud of me ;-).
