This is a beautifully constructed keyboard, with clickity-clack keys, that have the look, touch, and feel of a typewriter. It is a nice experience typing with this on my iPad and on my computer. Makes the experience of typing much more pleasurable then simply banging away on some cheaper generic keyboard that most computers are packaged with these days. Keys are full size, which is more pleasant than the typical compact keyboards of most laptop or notebook computers. Typing is fast and easy. The keys have pleasant tactile feedback and about the right pressure so as not to inadvertently type extra keystrokes very often for keys that are just casually brushed. It is portable and lightweight and fits easily into may backpack so I can take it to work. It is a little noisy, so if you have co-workers in an adjacent cubicle, or if you use it at a coffee shop, others may not like the noise much, after the initial novelty wears off. The noise is part of the charm though. My son heard it and saw it for the first time and asked if I was using a typewriter. It is metal and of high quality, hence more expensive than all of the copy cat keyboards that are coming out now. I also have a cheap copy cat keyboard, and it is good for what it is, but this keyboard is much more solid, better constructed, and overall worth the extra money. Highly recommended as a luxury item, or as a gift to an older person who misses typewriters. My younger colleagues, who have never used a typewriter, also like it and really enjoy typing on it, so it is really a gift for all ages. I last charged the battery a month ago, and it is still going. I am not a gamer, so cannot comment in that department. It is great simply for typing.

It's beautiful, and nostalgic, and fun to use. Obviously not the most affordable keyboard solution, but if you have the money to throw at it and love both old typewriters and your iPad, this is for you. It's solidly built, feels very nice to use and works just the way it should. My only disappointment: the roller wheels don't move. The carriage return lever does work though and is fun to use. Definitely pair this up with Hanx Writer app if you're using iOS. :-)

I LOVE THIS KEYBOARD! I do most of my writing on my iMac with an Apple Magic Keyboard or on my iPad Pro with a Logitech Slim Combo Keyboard, but when I'm doing long writing, I often put my Qwerkywriter front and center and type on it for awhile. I also occasionally use it with my iPad. I still have my first piece of tech, a 1950's Olympia SM-3 portable manual typewriter. I loved it, but I can't type on it now. It has a stepped keyboard, and you really have to pound on the keys--I mean you have to assault them. The Qwerkywriter lets me step back in time with keys that are easy to press and it let's me keep the convenience of modern word processing. And it has that nice clicky-clack sound. It's well designed and is built like a tank. Someone complained about the plastic keys. Guess what? My 60 year old Olympia has plastic keys, and it was often described as being built like a tank. I use the little carriage return instead of the Enter key because that's part of the fun. I fully appreciate modern keyboards, but sometimes it's relaxing to slow down a little and enjoy an old-timey keyboard. I don't recommend this for your regular keyboard, but if you're into this type of thing--and I am--this beautifully crafted artifact is worth the money. Oh, and it just looks beautiful on my desk, sitting right below the 27-inch iMac screen. Together, they're a visual timescale of tech.

This product is so much FUN!! I love typing on this keyboard! The clicky keys are not too clicky that it annoys my office mate. While the keyboard is a bit pricey, I still think it was worth every penny. I love antique type things and this fits the bill perfectly. I love quirky things and again this fits perfectly!! My coworkers think it’s a hoot! I only use it plugged in because I’m using it with a thin client at work and the thin client doesn’t have Bluetooth capability. It’s super responsive and I do not lose keystrokes. I don’t usually pay this much for tech but this time I treated myself and I was not disappointed!! If you are considering this splurge, do it!! Seriously, so much fun!!

I rarely write reviews, but this keyboard is SWEET. Great clean retro look, satisfying "clicky-clacky" of the keys, easy setup. I noticed other reviewers have a problem waking it up, but I haven't experienced that yet after about a week of use.

The Qwerkywriter S is the best keyboard I have owned, and trust me when I say I have bought many from Amazon. Needless to say up front that I will not be buying anything else but Qwerkywriter S, unless they can somehow top what they have. The keyboard is nice looking, well-constructed, and smooth running. The design I love. It works beautifully with my Mac Air laptop using bluetooth or the usb plug in. It is so nice to have the option to use either. I had no issues with hooking it up to bluetooth or using it strictly as plug and play. I can't empathize enough how beautiful and how smooth this keyboard is. If you are trying to decide whether or not to purchase one... the price is well worth it. I have a Mac Desktop Computer that I am planning to purchase another Qwerkywriter S for. I am very, very satisfied and happy with it and would more than highly recommend it to anyone. As a matter of fact, it will be the only keyboard I will recommend from here on out. Love it. Thank you Qwerky... you rock the big one! Oh, and one more mention, the keyboard comes in a nice box and is well packaged. If I could give this product 10 stars, I would.

I love to write but often really dislike the new and modern keyboards so avoid writing since that is all I have to use. I saw this beauty and decided that I had to have one. I have an IPad Pro 12.9 inch and was a bit skeptical that it would work in the upright position without falling over or out. It works beautifully, as I type now I must say I am thoroughly enjoying leaving a review for the first time in ages. My IPad Pro is sitting up in the stand and the keyboard is in my lap on the couch and it is perfect, comfortable and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I say if you have the money and enjoy the old typewriter keyboard style like I do then its a must have!! It came quickly, it connected via Bluetooth with no problem, and it works like a charm!

I absolutely LOVE this thing! There is something indefinable about the sound of a typewriter keyboard, some connection to the words pouring out of you onto the paper that's just missing with a silent, membrane keyboard. For several years in my twenties I freelanced on the side, pounding out copy on an Olivetti manual, and the hours spent revising and re-writing in the quest for clean copy were a nightmare and a financial drain. When word processors first appeared in the mid eighties, I bought in and never looked back. But something was missing, and I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Since buying the Qwertywriter I've developed a new routine. I have it plugged in via the USB cord, and I also have a bluetooth keyboard. When it's time to write I put the bluetooth aside, and use the Qwertywriter. It somehow makes this connection in my brain that it's time to write, and I'm no longer tempted to start surfing every time I get stuck or frustrated. I feel like I'm back sitting in front of that old Olivetti, only without the table pounding and swearing over every typo or spelling error. Some have said it takes some getting used to, but I had no trouble in that regard at all. In just a couple of minutes I felt right at home, and the copy just pours out onto the page. And somehow, deep in the gray matter, your brain is acknowledging the sound of each keystroke as one more step on the journey, one step closer to your goal. I find I'm no longer so quick to delete whole paragraphs or pages, or to send everything to the trash bin thinking “This sucks. I'll start over tomorrow.” There's a desire to salvage whats' in front of you, what you've accomplished so far, and in doing so finding your errors and discovering your way forward. Is it worth the price? That's a question each has to answer for themselves, but for me...it's priceless.
