Works well, and is fun!
It connects to the BB-8 almost instantly and has a decent range as well. It takes some time to master controlling the droid (when performing a Force pull your Band is reversed, so moving your hand right makes it go left and vice versa), but once you get it, it's great fun and almost magical. You can make the robot walk beside you and turn as you do--so it's like walking a dog without a leash. The other features are entertaining as well, such as a short virtual adventure game guiding an animated BB-8 through a damaged ship using the Band, and my kid loves playing make believe while making sound effects like light sabers and star fighters using the Band.

This Is How BB-8 Was Meant to Be Controlled...
This seems like the way that BB-8 should have been being controlled all along!!! I got the original BB-8 last year when it was first released, and I've truly enjoyed using it with the app on my phone. However, when I saw that the Force Band was finally being released, I pre-ordered it right away. After having it for 10 days now I have to say I'm extremely happy with the product. It works EXACTLY as advertised. Force Push forward to get rolling...lower your arm to slow down and stop. Bring your hand back towards you in a "Come Here" type of motion, and BB-8 will roll backwards. Turn by basically simply pointing left or right. I will say that this takes a bit of getting used to. My initial uses all resulted in what seemed like a series of uncoordinated crashes while I flailed about like a maniac. However, after some practice I was controlling BB-8 like a Jedi Apprentice...with more and more skills developing as I practice more and more. I've used the Force Band in it's other modes much more limitedly. I've only collected a couple of Holocrons, so I don't have a ton of experience doing that...however, it does work as shown in the Tutorial videos. I've also only used it for "Combat Training" a couple of times. It works well in this mode, also. I could see the Combat Training being something that kids could really get into, considering the sound effects react really well to your arm movements. It would add a cool element to light saber and blaster battles. Overall, I'm really happy with the Force Band. It meets all of my expectations, and does everything it says it does...and does it well.

No regrets here!!
I absolutely love this band!!! You don’t necessarily need the B.B.-8 droid to have fun with this. This allows you to feel around for holocrons, unlock characters, even cool weapons from the saga!!! You can even do a tutorial with B.B. 8 on your phone if you can’t afford him at the moment. You can loosen the band and tighten it to fit exactly how big or small your wrist is. Definitely would recommend this

Quality addition to a sphero robot
Honestly a great product. My 8 year old loves using it in various modes with either his sphero R2D2 or a toy lightsaber. The biggest plus was that it allows him to play without carrying a phone or tablet around to control the droid. Has been hours of fun since christmas and he actually remembers to charge them on his own for the next play session.

Force band frees your phone up (apps), except for checking Force Captures & Armory Weapons
Force bands required for the Sphero droids. Works with all 4. Has two or more non-droid" functions for the users amusement... Combat Training mode, and Force mode. No droid needed in those modes. Only issue is the download time for the apps. Might take a few minutes. Might take hours. I programmed 4 for Christmas. I'd that they took different amounts of time to do the downloads... Same phone, same apps to multiple bands. Just FYI. Driving Droids is not easy. The round ones, BB-8 & BB-9 rewrote learning. Easier with the other 2, R2-D2, & R2-Q5.

Makes BB-8 even better!
Works great with Sphero BB-8, and makes playing with it an even better experience. I purchased the droid and band for a 3 year old, and it's more fun to use hand motion than controlling the droid via the phone. The band was able to adjust down to his wrist (normal size, 50% weight), no issues with the band being too loose.

Cool concept, good for kids
So I originally got this for my 4 year old to use....but I had decided to share it with her instead because I think it’s cool, lol. I thought this would help younger kids control the droid easier, so for the price I got it for it was worth it and she I think she likes the band more than the iPad control. But I wouldn’t buy for the original price.

Forceband
I work for Sphero and I am very impressed on how well this product was handled by Amazon employees. It came right when it was suppose to and didn't have any damage at all. Forceband woke right up as soon as I plugged it in and seems like it will last a long time I would definitely buy this again if it wasn't discontinued by Sphero.

I love it!
I love it! Simple setup and now I can control my precious BB-8 without carrying around my ipad, or even having an app open at all! It takes a bit of time to learn how to use the force, but the tutorial's fun as well! Sphero sure knows their stuff! Also the Band makes BB-8 sounds like the app did. Precious!
