  • Fastenere brand Nylon Lock Nuts made of stainless steel grade 18-8 which offers a high level of chemical and corrosion resistance and strength that will out perform and out last all zinc plated fasteners for years with out the need to perform costly and time consuming maintenance.

I am rebuilding an older truck and replaced some of the fasteners with these nuts. They work great, no complaints and I will probably order more as the need arises.

Heavy duty, smooth well finished product. Looks like this will hold up well in a humid environment holding my mailbox... The nylon locking feature is the reason we are using this in an outdoor application so that Ring washers don't cut into the metal and promos rust.

Good quality, fit wrenches and sockets well, threaded onto bolts with ease, before making tight on nylon portion. Item was used with washers to level a ceiling mounted expanded metal shelf that hangs from ceiling with threaded rod, rod couplings and 3/4" square tubing which all of the above supports a O Gauge Model train layout that hangs from ceiling. The lock nuts hold it tight in place.

The nuts arrived on the day promised, and the few I've used to date are well manufactured.

These nuts are great but the first one I used seized onto the bolt and had to be cut off. The nut ran easily up to the nylon lock but the increased friction of passing through the nylon caused the nut to seize and it couldn’t be snugged up or removed. We did some research and this is very common when using stainless steel fasteners, it wasn’t any fault of the nut or bolt and or this reason, some people may choose to use galvanized or brass instead. Lubricating with oil or anti-seize compounds doesn’t help much, the US military uses Milk of Magnesia and while this sounds very weird, it works absolutely perfectly! Put it liberally on the bolt threads and also inside the nut and it works every time and it stays between the threads allowing subsequent removal. We read that the military uses it on the afterburner bolts on fighter jets and it’s the only thing approved for that application. These nuts are excellent but remember to always use the Milk of Magnesia and you’ll love them too.

No problems with this product worked exactly as it should, I used these to install a Aux Fuel Tank in my Truck.

not easy to find in stores and what I can remember from when I used to buy stuff like this for the shop I ran the price was pretty good too.

I go thru a lot of ss bolt's, washers and lock nuts, the quality has been going down hill for a long time! When I received these, they were top of the line. thank you restoring my confidence in ss products

HEADS UP, I bought both screws and nylon locking nuts. Some, maybe 30%, of these combinations would thread only part way and then seize up completely, so completely that the screw either twisted in half or I had to cut the screw with a metal cutoff wheel. This was before reaching any tightening surface around the holes, yet after the screw had passed beyond the nylon locking aspect of the nut. Because the screw and the nut orders were separate, I do not know which part has the causal flaw. It was not a good day as I was slowed greatly when having to cut the screws and begin anew. So, if you are buying these, you might consider buying a few extra.

Good quality marine grade material for sure. No problems on install and nylon retainer has the correct amount of resistance, not too soft like lower quality hardware. Quantity as described packaging as expected and at a price that beats any local outlet or Fastenal.
