This was delivered very fast, and works great. There are so many others on Amazon that are double or triple the price, and are of the same exact quality. I've had this for over a month now, and have used it while metal detecting at least 10 occasions already, and it hasn't broken and still works as well as the day I got it.

I cannot believe the expectations for a 10 dollar digging tool could be so high for some people. It is very sturdy, very well made for 10 dollars. Of course it is not as sharp as a 35 dollar tool. It can be sharpened with a file. It will dig a good plug and not bend in the red clay of North Carolina. I have owned similar tools before and this is by far the best one. Any tool like this will bend if you try to pry big rocks from a hole. The $ 35 tools will bend also. I would not hesitate to buy another one.

Works great, I even dug in some partially frozen ground with it. Very sturdy. Sheath is a bit weak but didn’t buy it for the sheath, happy enough it came with one.

I've dug many plugs in all different types of soil with it metal detecting and it has done it's job just fine. The sheath won't last forever but after several months of use it's still holding together. If you have a lot of roots to cut through you may want to sharpen the edge with a file. I don't think you will find better one at this price.

Bought this for metal detecting. Extremely sturdy and the orange handle is great for visibility. I would take away half a star because the factory coating on the blade makes the edge completely dull - not an issue in sand or loam, but in clay or frozen ground you'll want to take a mill file and put a sharper edge on if you want to avoid frustration.

Bought for metal detecting. Passed the first time I saw it because I thought it would be cheap. Saw someone else's review on another digging site, and thought at $10.00, I couldn't really go wrong. I really like this tool, it is strong and durable, and digs a really nice plug. I was really surprised at how heavy duty the metal was. Anyway, compared to some of the name brands, if you cannot justify the pricier models, this one will get the job done.

I thought about buying a Garrett for my purposes, but at $34 it seemed a lot for a thing I might use once and never use again. Because of this I bought the Prospector's Choice for about 1/3rd the price. I was ready to be disappointed, but was surprised at how well-built and sturdy this thing is. I cannot imagine the Garrett being any better at all except for the natty Garrett logo on it. I love this thing and have found it to be beyond expectations.

Great product, live in Las Vegas where ground is nothing but hard rocks and hard dirt. This tools digs through it easily. Well made.

The price would make one expect a cheaply made digging tool, which is simply not the case here. I'm rating five stars for the durability, strength, and price. Together they form a top notch value for the thrifty shopper. The protective coat seems similar to implement paint, the stuff used on tractors and other heavy equipment, so it should be long lasting.

I totally recommend it! It has a great quality material and comes with its own case to carry in your belt. I'm glad of the purchase. I think I but a bandle with the sand scoop for a really good price. Maybe like 10 to 13 dollars. You can't beat price and quality for what you get.
