These Really Grip

Our adjustable door gate would slip from the door frame when our dog would jump on it. If we tightened the adjustable rods tight enough to prevent slipping the aluminum gate frame would warp and the gate would become difficult to close and latch. We ordered these wall cups when we replaced the adjustable gate rods in hopes they would slow the slipping. Not only did these slow the slipping - they completely stopped it. Our gate takes only normal rod tightening, does not warp, and these wall cups grip securely without leaving a mark. Much better than other cups that are harder plastic. Large enough to fit even larger rod end caps. Well done solution to an old problem! We are going to recommend these to our daughter who has a gate for her young child.

Wow this makes the difference for pressure mounted gates that need extra grip to the wall. This provides a strong grip to the surface that keeps the gate tightly attached to the wall, I wish i knew about this on my last gate that i purchased.

Mommy Life saver!!!

These were seriously a life saver. We bought the regalo extra wide baby gate. It was just a tad too short and the gate wouldn’t meet the locking mechanism. I read a ton of reviews on that gate, they said to buy something like this to help fix that issue and make it more sturdy! Not only did it help keep it up and on the wall it gave me a few extra inches so now the gate locking mechanism is totally functional. The baby hit it full speed with his walker and it didn’t move! Highl recommend if you have a gate like this with the round tension Ends! This opening is 43 1/2 inches using the Regalo extra wide baby gate, purchases on amazon, minus one of the extensions..

I didn’t buy these to protect my wall- I bought them to keep my gate in place and they work perfect. It seemed like once a day I was adjusting my pressure mounted gate to keep it straight. After adding only two of these - bottom ones only - my gate has firmly stated in place. I would’ve used all 4 but my house is old and the doorway did not allow enough room for the top two to be mounted with my gate. Great product though - especially since I only have to use 2.

Does what you expect it to do

We needed to install a baby (dog) gate for a new puppy that we just added to the family. She kept running up the stairs, but couldn't come down which was leading to messes. We needed to put the gate on the stairs but did not want to drill hows into the wall or the banister. These baby gate wall cups were recommended as an additional item.. and I will say they have helped secure the gate in place and prevent any scuff marks from occurring. I gave this product a rating of 5 based on the install and use. I cannot speak to the durability yet as I just received and installed them.

I have those Regalo baby gates. The rubber ends on the bolts started to break off and rip up my walls. The cups are hard plastic with a rubbery end that goes against the wall. I only used 2 of the cups because the molding on the bottom of my walls doesn't leave enough space, but I already knew that. The cups are thicker than I thought they would be, but worked out good for me. Without the rubber tips on the regalo gate bolts these normally wouldn't work because the metal end on the bolts are small and could slide around in the cup. For me they had a really tight fit and the plastic piece that tightens the gate actually fit right into the cup so it kept the bolt from sliding around.

I never write reviews. These are amazing gadgets. I used outside because my rental backyard has no gate for the fence. It was impossible to properly secure a baby gate because the fence posts are uneven. I screwed these into the posts hoping they would provide stability and grip. They work! Ingenious. I have to say I'm pretty proud of myself too...

Excellent Companion Purchase

The Regalo Easy Step Extra Tall Walk Thru Gate was such an excellent buy, I purchased two of these gates to contain my grand children in a child proofed part of the house. An excellent companion purchase to use with the gate are the 4 pack Baby Gates Wall Cups by Vmaisi. The hard-plastic wall cup provided with the gate, fit perfectly within these cups. With a simple installation of a single wood screw, these protectors securely anchor the walk thru gate to the opening creating an efficient barrier to protect both children and pets. The spring loaded “lock” can be a challenge to open with one hand, however with a little practice it can be operated with a single hand with ease. These gates are meant to remain in place, however with the installation of the wall cups directly to the wall or jam, these gates can be temporarily removed and reinstalled with ease. Well built, quality product that performs as advertised.

I know this would help a great deal in keeping the gate from moving and my dogs from going up to our bedrooms and making a mess on the carpet. So, I'm actually not using it for a baby gate but for my dogs, which is with certain people are their babies, just like our dog are to us. 😊

Great gate! Should keep the Javelinas away!

This gate is surprisingly sturdy. I am 75 years old. I expected to have to ask for some help in putting it together but it was a breeze! I no longer have to worry about keeping little ones corralled, but the Javelinas which roam my Tucson neighborhood at night have come onto my front patio and destroyed my flowers, knocking over my pots and scattering dirt all over the bricks. I looked into getting a gate made to fit the area, but this product is the perfect solution— and MUCH cheaper than a custom built gate would have been.
