Quality, and accuracy is very impressive for the cost.
Has a quality feel for the cost. Sure a $100 refractometer might be a little heavier, etc.. but this is solid, and functional at a very low price point. The visibility through the scope is great. Since the thing uses the principles of physics, I imagine once calibrated well, it's going to measure salinity as well as anything can. Mine came not calibrated, but not a big deal, things get bumped in shipping. Calibrate it, use it. It's good. Seems like every $20 refractometer is the same thing on amazon, so I imagine if you get one that looks like this, it's probably the same. I expected the case to be absolute crap with a molded hinge, but it's actually not too shabby and will definitely keep the unit safe.
