Same active ingredient as Sensodyne, 1/3 the price. Been using for over ten years and it works great for sensitivity.

Excellent product. Great price compared to Sensodyne. Every desensitizing toothpaste has potassium nitrate 5 percent as the desensitizer. Colgate has the best price and good flavor.

I have very sensitive teeth and have used toothpaste made specifically for people with Sensitive Teeth. I don't really know why I switched and bought the Colgate Sensitive Maximum Strength Whitening Toothpaste (3 pack) but I am so glad that I did. Since I've been using the Colgate, I can drink cold drinks or eat cold food without feeling like lightening was shooting through my jaw. This product is wonderful. I also like the gel and the cooling taste. It makes my mouth feel great. Thank you to Colgate and Amazon for this toothpaste.

The shelf life of this product is great and have used it for years and is as advertised.

Friends, family, and even my dentist all ask me how I get my teeth so white. My secret: this toothpaste. My teeth are too sensitive for whitening strips so I bought this with hopes of generally clean teeth. My teeth are so white that my own dentist thought I got them bleached at another office. This picture below is completely unedited. Seriously this stuff is awesome and helps with sensitivity in the process!

Love this toothpaste. I feel it does a great job at not only cleaning my teeth but it help with the sensitivity my teeth feel from time to time. I prefer this Colgate to any of the other sensitive toothpastes out there. It also has a pleasant taste which is an added bonus. I'm happy that I found this and will continue to use this toothpaste.

The taste of this is better than Sensodyne to me, I have been using this for years and have very little sensitivity to hot and cold now. I can definitely tell a difference when I run out and have to use something else.

As I've gotten older my teeth have become sensitive to hot/cold to the point that I no longer use ice in anything and I drink almost everything at room temperature. This is the only toothpaste that seems to helps. It was getting that I was eating on only one side of my mouth because the left side had a sensation that felt like lightning when I ate/drank something too hot or cold. Now, after using this toothpaste now for years I've been eating normally, though I'm so used to room temp. drinks that I prefer drinking most drinks that way except for an occasional cup of coffee or can of Coke. I had a coupon for Sensodyne toothpaste about a year ago so I figured one was as good as another, but NOPE! After two days I was back to that same pain, this is what works and I hope they never stop making it, seriously!!

Works just as well as the more expensive sensitive toothpaste (at least for me anyway) and I base this opinion on over a year of daily use.

Regarding the product, I love it. I have sensitive teeth and I find toothpastes like Sensodyne to be unpleasant and cause a lingering bitter taste in my mouth. Colgate and Aquafresh sensitive do not, so I use both brands. They never cause tooth pain either, so they both work well for me. Also, in grocery stores and drugstores, this usually costs close to $4, and "sales" (I've never seen this less than $3.59) are much rarer for sensitive toothpastes than they are for regular pastes, so it's never been the cheapest way to brush your teeth. But at today's price of $13.90, it works out to $2.32 per tube, which is . . . well, cheap. The savings won't make or break you financially, but it's always nice to know you're getting a real bargain. I don't mind buying 6 at a time and storing them. Overall, I'm very pleased with the product and very happy to see it here for this price, the cheapest I've ever seen it anywhere. 5 stars. ALERT! I just popped by this page (Sept 10, 2009) and was SHOCKED to see a new seller "SET 4 BABY," selling this 6-pack for over $35!!! Seriously? Almost $6 per tube PLUS shipping??? As you can see from my June 29 review, I paid less than $14. To me, anything over $21 is not worth it. But $35? It's laughable. Sept 11, 2009: I emailed the "set4baby" merchant and they were kind enough to respond, but indicated they were unable (unwilling) to lower the price from $35, but I see now it's back to being sold by Amazon, which is a good thing. They must have decided not to sell this product anymore. Any future purchasers of this product should just keep an eye on the ever-fluctuating price. I think if you can get it for under $18 for this 6-pack ($3.00 per tube), it's a very good deal. Maybe I'd even buy for up to $21 ($3.50 each). Otherwise, it's not worth saving a few pennies from the grocery/drug store prices. May 31, 2010: I'm pleased to see this is still being sold & fulfilled by Amazon, and is going for under $15, so it appears to be stable. I've just ordered another 6-pack @ $14.97 ($2.49 per tube). It's the cheapest way I know of to get Colgate Sensitive. Aug 17, 2010: This product continue to experience wild price fluctuations, depending on who is the seller and whether or not Amazon does the fulfillment. Currently, it's over $27, and thus, overpriced. But given the pattern illustrated from my above updates, I wouldn't be surprised if it's back under $20 or possibly even $15 the next time I check this page out. Just keep an eye on the price and know that you can get it for $3.50-4.00 per tube or so at a local store. Aug 26, 2013: Since my last update 3 years ago, I have bought this several times, because the price did fluctuate, as I anticipated due to past patterns. But now it shows $16.85. If it was free shipping and fulfilled by Amazon, I would get it, but don't be fooled buy the low price. The current seller (AmericaRX--seller seems to change occasionally) charges you $7 for shipping. That's nearly $4 per tube. Not a good enough price to buy here when there are surely better options. I'd wait it out and check in a month or so to se if the price changes, which it eventually will do. Keep it in your cart to remember.
