great little chopper

I replaced my old chopper which I had for about 2 years. The lid had broken and couldn't replace it. This one has arrived and I love it. So easy to assemble and use. I really am happy with this chopper. I realize that I have to handle it carefully because the plastic top could probably break easily but that being said, at this time, I am totally happy and glad I did order it. As the reviews I read said, it is very easy to use and does a great job. The price was good and if it last as long as my last black and decker chopper I will be very satisfied customer.

I don't use it to grind food

I roll my own cigarettes, and I grind the tobacco down to it isn't so stringy. This works perfect for it. It took a few minutes to figure out how to get the blades settled down further. (Just pushed and it worked) A little thing that I appreciate, is the packing. There was a lot of tape, and each strand was bend down at the end, so I was able to pull the tape off easily, instead of using my fingernail and trying to pry the end up.

Easy to use & doesn't break easily

I love this little mini chopper. I purchased one for me & I purchased one for my mother who has arthritis. For me, I’ve tried several other models & I kept having the same problem, no matter how careful I was, when twisting the lid to lock it in place, the plastic tab would break, which made it impossible to use. I went through several other models and almost gave up on owing one of these little choppers. Then one day, my Mom asked if I could find one for her that would be easy for her to use. She has arthritis & a lot of difficulty using her hands & I knew that the other models of mini choppers would be too hard for her to operate. I ended up finding this little mini chopper for myself and for her. I absolutely love it, since the top doesn’t lock in place, I no longer have the problem of the plastic tab breaking, plus the blades are very sharp & it does a fantastic job for my needs. My mother absolutely loves it as well, it’s so easy for her to use & she doesn’t have to worry about locking anything in place. It comes apart easily & the clean up is easy as well. I would highly recommend this little mini chopper, especially if you have any difficulty using your hands.

Be careful taking the blade out or placing it back in the container.

This is a great product. Whatever kind of vegetable you want to chop be sure and cut your vegetables to fit easily in the clear plastic container, put the lid on, test It by pressing the lid once or twice to see how fine you want to cut. It is also great to make salsa as well. The more you press the lid the mushier your vegetables become. If you have children that want to help in the kitchen,guide them, watch over them and then they will feel like they’re helping cook. Easy to clean, dishwasher safe except for the base. It comes apart in 3 pieces lid, blade and container. Be sure to take the blade out before you transfer vegetables to your pan, bowl or plate. Next I’ll try fruit in the chopper, should be fun. It’s great for the two of us. A party as well.Makes preparation easy on the chef. Thank you Black & Decker and Thank you Amazon for all you do, delivery is fantastic.

great little tool

i've owned a number of much more costly mini-choppers, but this one is by far my favorite. handily chops anything, and makes the easiest emulsions imaginable. my kitchen is stocked with all the high-end brands, but the quality and effectiveness of this little baby exceeds that of most of them. simple channels in the chopping vessel guide chopped food back down toward the blades while whirring, so that when chopping sticky garlic cloves, larger pieces get returned to the blades until they stop, providing a very consistent chop.

Very useful for someone who never used a processor.

Reviewed all the Amazon's info on small food processor type devices and I'm glad I got this one. So easy to use. I'm not going to ever use a large one. But with this small one, I can pop in Rotel, green peppers, onions, jalapeños, cilantro, etc. and I have a great fresh salsa. I can't see ever purposely buying processed salsa again.

super great food chopper.

i used this black & decker, 3 cup food chopper i used it about 6 times so far. and i have to say it is easy to use. i chopped a whole cabbage head with it for homemade coleslaw. actually the KFC recipe for coleslaw online. so what it, takes a little longer to chop the cabbage up in smaller size to chop up good and small bits. but it works great. Beats the hell out of the large one i got several yrs from my husband at the time for Christmas. When my daughter comes home she is getting my big food processor chopper that grates, chops etc. it's only me alone now so i have lots of time to do things like chop food. ginny

Love this little chopper!

When I first opened the box, I was disapointed. I thought it looked flimsy and would probably return it. I did, however, want to try it out to make sure. Was I wrong! This little appliance does a perfect job and takes up so little space to store. It indeed lives up to the phrase that big things comes in small packages. I would recommend this to anyone with an occasional need for small amounts of chopped veggies.

Best chopper for people with joint/hand pain or weakness

There isn't anything I don't like about this chopper. This little gem chops a fair amount of vegetables without being oversized and bulky. My food processer was way to big, and other choppers have too small of a capacity. I've tried many expensive and fancy looking choppers only to land on this one. If you have had multiple hand surgeries like I have, and if you have difficulty or lack of strength while trying to perform a wide grip/twist, this will be a lifesaver in the kitchen. The bowl just lifts right off of the unit - no wide grip or twisting action required!! This is so easy to use and to clean. I can make large crocks of vegetable soup in a flash with an easy cleanup. Another awesome feature is that all you have to do is press down on the top of the lid with one finger to get it to chop. As with any chopper, the longer you hold it down, the more your vegetables will be pulverized. So I just do a quick one or two pulses, and I'm done. If your wrist and finger joints hurt, this chopper will certainly be a pleasure to use.

Quieter and easier to use compared to the previous model

I owned the previous model which worked great already but this one is even better. It's much quieter, the blades are sharper and it's easier to use. Keep in mind that nothing locks into place anymore, which basically means the cup falls into place and the cover just sits on top. This makes it easy to use since you're not fumbling to twist everything just right anymore. Because of this, you have to make sure to grab and hold it by the main body (with the motor) in order to lift and carry it. It's not really a con, just something to keep in mind. Highly recommended.
