Very happy so far!
The glass is fairly thin, so be careful with it. Microwave safe (remove the metal parts, obviously, but it's pretty easy and they go back together very well), dishwasher top rack, very well-balanced on the stove. The top still fits well without the strainer part. PERFECT pour. Like. Did not realize just how beautiful a pour could be. It's magical. And it's such a pretty teapot! I love just watching the tea get darker and darker. Plus! It's easy/convenient enough that my husband likes it too! He only recently found a tea that he likes, but he likes the teapot enough that he's made three pots TODAY. He doesn't usually like making tea. Now! As it's glass, it does cool faster than metal/insulated ones. I'll probably make a cozy for it eventually, but for now I just leave the burner on super low. Packaging was very nice. Teapot fit very snugly into the foam. It says to keep it in the foam and in the box, but I have it in my china cabinet. If that turns out to be a mistake, I will be buying another one. Edit: Ok! About four months in from when I bought it. After HEAVY (read multiple times per day) use and with taking it apart to clean it every few days, the metal ring that holds the strainer is starting to get a little worn. If you don't push it down juuuuust right, it pops loose. Not a huge deal since it usually does it right after you push it down. But, like I said, that's with very heavy use. I imagine it would hold out a lot longer for someone who doesn't take it apart on an almost daily basis. All in all, still very pleased, will buy another one if I eventually need to, and would highly recommend.

Love my little teapot!
Oh how I love this teapot! My wife was fascinated that it's made out of glass but was further taken aback at how easy and convenient it is to use. I've been drinking more teas as I work to break an alcohol habit and this tea pot has made it so much easier. (to make the tea that is! LOL) I've opted to buy different varieties of fresh tea leaves instead of tea bags. The removable infuser does an excellent job of holding the loose tea leaves and makes for easy clean up as well. It should last for many years to come - if I don't accidentally break it! LOL

Quality glass; great for cold brew. Spout still looks fragile.
When putting it in the dishwasher, ensure nothing can touch the spout. Although the glass is fine quality, the spout "looks" like it could easily break. We accidentally dropped the pot about 3 inches into our stainless steel sink, and fortunately it landed on its bottom and did not break. The body and base look and feel solidly made with good quality. We still have concerns about the spout's durability because it looks fragile. We use this in the refrigerator to make cold brew coffee, which comes out great. Read the instructions to be sure you don't put too much coffee in and don't put it into the water too fast. Let the coffee get wet and settle (otherwise it floats).

Why I gave 5 Stars
So I've been using it for a week or so now. First of all, I used the Do Not Rush option. It came like a week before the prospect arrival time. 1 Star. Second, it came with clear, no chip, no crack and no stain condition. 1 Star. Third, it really can be used on my gas stove. Like I literally put water in it, turn on the gas stove on low fire, place it on top, wait a bit and turn up the heat to avoid sudden temp change. It is still sitting next to me. 1 Star. Fourth, it is really lightweight. Like if a frail grandma wants to use it she can without any strain. But it didn't crack even when I accidentally dropped my cup on it during the dishwashing. 1 Star. Fifth, it holds a nice amount of water and boils fairly quickly. Also the design gives stable and flat bottom. 1 Star. In total, this deserves 5 Stars as you see. If I have the choice I would have given more stars for ease of cleaning and good no-drip pout etc., but Amazon doesn't so here you go.

Big and nice !
My first order was shattered even though the box was perfect, could have happened anywhere, no bodies fault. A quick call to Amazon service and they sent me another next day for free. The pot is excellent. My biggest concern was that it have a BIG flat bottom to sit on my glass top stove, it does that nicely. The other features I like are the shorter spout and the nice handle for my BIG hands. My last pot had a long spout and I think that is a weak point because it is soooo fragile. The sieve is really the finest I have ever seen, I don't think talcum powder could get through it. It has holes on the bottom as well as the sides. There are three metal parts; the sieve, the collar and the lid. The collar has three little tabs on the throat, like springs, so that it can attach permanently to the pot. The sieve and the lid both fit into the collar. Because I occasionally use the pot in the microwave, I don't permanently mount the collar onto the pot. I press the lid tightly into the collar, they stay together well that way, and lightly set the combo on top when I want to keep the heat in. The sieve has a nice half-circle handle attached that makes it easy to pull the sieve out to stop the tea brewing. Really, everything is made so tight that there is no worries about the lid falling into the cup while pouring the last drop. Happy brewing.

Beautiful, elegant, functional teapot. I absolutely LOVE it!
This is the most beautiful teapot I have ever owned. The filter is wonderful; the holes are so fine that even the smallest tea leaves do not get through. I love that the filter basket can be removed when the tea is done steeping, and yet the lid can be replaced. The pot looks elegant with or without the filter. The collar, lid and filter basket fit perfectly into the pot, and the filter has a little metal handle that allows it to be inserted and removed with ease. The pouring spout is wonderful. It has a nice opening - not too narrow, not too wide, and pours a delicate stream with no drips! (The tea even SOUNDS pretty when it is poured from this spout. Sort of musical.) There is little notch in the end of the spout, which seems to prevent dripping. The size of the teapot is just right; you could probably get 4-5 medium-sized cups of tea from a full pot. (Any more than that, and it would turn ice cold before you had a chance to drink it, anyway. Supposedly, you can heat this pot on a gas or electric burner, but I wouldn’t dare.) The handle is very comfortable to hold while pouring, and gets warm but not hot. My only concern about the teapot is that the glass is very thin and delicate. I am afraid it would crack very easily if I were to bump it againt the faucet or any other hard surface. The instructions that come with the pot warn you to be very careful with the teapot when handling it, and they recommended that you store it in the original packaging (in a bubble wrap bag, placed inside a box). That is what I am doing, and I would advise everyone else who purchases this teapot to do likewise. Fortunately, the box is not very big, and it will not take up much room in your cupboard. When setting the teapot down on the kitchen counter, I am careful to cushion with a towel or discloth it so that it doesn’t break. (If you have granite, marble or cement countertops, that will be a must.) I realize all of this special handling probably sounds like too much work, but it’s really no trouble at all. I would not hesitate to purchase this item again, for myself or for a gift. Heck, I like it so much that I may pick up one or two spares, just in case I break it some day. At only $17.99, it’s a steal!

Love this teapot!
I wanted a teapot that I could use in the microwave or on the stove. I was a little concerned about the fragility of this beautiful glass item, but I shouldn't have worried. The handle is not as delicate as it might appear in the picture, and is plenty sturdy enough for daily use and I am particularly pleased with the fact that the spout does not drip at all. I am very happy with this teapot, and might just pick up another one for that dreadful day when I break this one. P.S. I forgot to add something that is very nice about this product ~ the handle doesn't get hot, even though the water is at a full boil. You never need a hot pad to remove this from the heat. I love that!

Best tea pot I've ever owned!
I have had my fair share of tea pots of the years (decades even) but this one is the best I've owned so far. The last one I bought was very inexpensive and cheap and was a complete waste of money... Here are the main reasons why I love this tea pot: - The Design. I find the design very elegant and timeless. Sure, this is very subjective, but so is this review. - Handling and Performance. I'm not sure if the way the tea pot handles is a consequence of the design or if it was designed for ergonomic handling. Either way, this tea pot feels great and sturdy when in use. When pouring the tea the pot never feels like it's slipping out of my hand and the stream of tea goes exactly where the spout is pointed; no spilling, no sputtering, no splashing. There is the occasional small drop running down but nothing like other pots I've used. Even the sound of the pour is satisfying! One of my biggest pet peeve with many tea pots is the lid. It tends to be too loose and you need to hold it in place when pouring a cup or it will fall off. The lid of this pot has no special way of staying in place but it fits so well in the surrounding metal "rim" that I never needed to fear it might simply come loose. The stainless steel filter is also great! It allows for sufficient infusion of the tea without clogging. Fine dust can still get through but not having to worry about paper filters makes up for that. - Product Quality. I've never dared to put an empty tea pot, especially not one made out of glass, directly on my candle tea warmer. Based on other reviews, I took all my courage and tried it to prewarm the pot a bit... Nothing happened. When I poured the boiling water into the pot it sizzled and briefly boiled again but no cracking of the glass. Putting the tea pot in the dishwasher is no problem at all; I just remove the metal parts and place them separately. I have bumped the tea pot here and there and heard some scraping when I slid it over my countertop but so far I have not seen any nicks or deep scratches. Overall, I am impressed with the quality of the product because everything feels great and fits perfectly. If you are looking for a well designed, high-quality, and fairly inexpensive tea pot, this is the one!

The Little Engine that could
I'm going to be real with you folks. I was really expecting this little guy to burst all over my portable stove or explode causing mass chaos, fire, and flames. Glass? on a stove top? I watched this Teapot like a hawk. Until I had to walk away for a couple minutes... No injury. No fire. No waves of water all over my office. I was using a electric tea kettle for about 5+ years. One of the better ones - had temperatures and all that. I believe that it was due to all the rust and metal particles that I've developed a lot of health issues over those 5 years. Keep in mind, I would use that electric kettle for 3 times daily... That's a lot of metal in my body. Things are working as well as a "Much, much older man." Surffice to say, I finally broke down and tossed it. In comes my search for a replacement that didn't give me metal shavings in everything I drank or ate. This performed remarkably well. If it wasn't for my declining health, I wouldn't even had tried it. I really wish I even knew this was an option. Besides the health benefits - it's beautifully designed. Smaller than I was expecting. At first I thought it was a different package. Packaged really well.

This teapot is great! It is the best pouring teapot that I have ever had. There is no dripping out of the spout before or after the pour is done. The design is perfect for little hands as well as big hands. There are easily four cups of tea in this teapot if you are using a 12 oz cup. I would definitely purchase this teapot again and I highly recommend it!
