Great value for first-time double point needle users

This is a great value! This was my first time knitting with double point needles and these were a perfect thing to buy. There is a wide variety of socks, so I can knit everything from chunky mittens to socks. They come with nicely labeled little packets for each set of needles. They come in a zip lock bag which I have actually used as well; it’s easy to store all the packets of needles in the bag and roll it up and seal it so that none of the needles fall out or get mixed with one another.

So inexpensive, but really good

I have now purchased 3 sets of these steel DPNs. I always have a dozen or more items in progress. I love them! They are strong, and there are 5 needles in each size. The set provides a whole range of sizes from 00 to 10+ American--I don't understand the mm size system but have a ruler with size holes to relabel. The individual casings are not the highest quality plastic, but treated well will last without deteriorating. The points sometimes feel a little rough to my finger tip, but I have not experienced any yarn catching. in fact very smooth surface, no yarn drag at all, and stitches don't slide off with the slightly longer length. They aren't too sharp or too blunt, and no "coating" to flake off onto my work.

Just what I needed!

Exactly what I was looking for and such a value for the cost! I was pleasantly surprised that the needles in this set are a bit longer than needles purchased in stores. Even 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch increase helps keep stitches on the needles with larger projects. Getting all these sizes in a single kit is wonderful. Purchasing individually or even in smaller sets would have cost a small fortune let alone trying to find all of the sizes in my local stores. Very happy as well with the quality and strength!

Love these!

Love these so far, the bamboo ones I had were terrible when it came to smaller sizes, they bent and even frayed, these are rock solid and not slippery like a lot of other metal needles!

Good quality, especially for the price

These knitting needles are exactly what you'd want in a double-pointed needle. I really like them. On the needles that I used, there were no defects of any kind: no snags, no rough spots, etc. The needles are straight, too. Having read the earlier reviews, I took a cotton pad and wiped down the needles with rubbing alcohol to remove the residue. It seems to be some sort of machine oil, which came off easily. I don't consider this worth docking a star, especially given the price.

knit socks, hats, purses, dolls and more

I bought these to use for knitting dolls. I expect to have a lot of enjoyment using them. Each set has it's own case with the size marked on it. There are enough sizes to cover a wide variety of projects and the price was right. These are perfect when circular needles just can't do the job.

I had been using bamboo which something would bend or break or catch yarn fibers. These are smooth and light and durable. I also like that they have their individual durable plastic sleeve for each size. The bamboo had the size printed on each stick. I miss that. Maybe there is a template for quickly determining the needle size - as there are such for drill bits.

Worth the money

These are almost 8” long which is much more convenient than the shorter needles regularly available . The quality is very good.

MONEY WELL SPENT!

USED THEM IMMEDIATELY TO FINISH A PROJECT. THEY HANDLE VERY WELL. INCREDIBLY LIGHT WEIGHT. EACH COMES IN AN INDIVIDUAL SLEEVE FOR STORAGE. HAD ONE MINOR PROBLEM. I DID NOT RECEIVE ONE SIZE NEEDLE BUT NOT IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO PURSUE. THE NEEDLES I RECEIVED WERE MORE THAN SATISFACTORY AND WELL WORTH THE MONEY.
