I'm happy with my choice to buy these. I've yet to use them but having dialed them each in I'm sure they will work great. I have E rated 35s and run them at 42-44 psi. After getting these dialed in I tested them and each tire took 7.5 to 9 minutes to get to 20 psi where I set them from 44. The case, pouch, and extras were all very nice and overall it is a great package. I'm keeping the entire kit in my truck in the storage box. During my test they did make some noise and I could see how some would call it a fast noise. This however was not during the entire release and seemed to only happen for the first minute or so. I touched one of the center plungers on one and it stopped but I don't know if that was because of me or just a coincidence in timing. Either way it is not loud enough to make me unhappy or drop any stars. Each deflator is heavy duty but very simple. I took one apart just to check it out and see what cleaning would entail. It's not much. Cleaning, if needed, will be a breeze.

These deflators work very well for what they do. The key is to set them up correctly ahead of time. It takes about 10 minutes for the deflators to stop deflating, but they're 90% of the way there in 5 minutes. One of mine had damaged o-ring, I decided to see how easy it would be to take apart since you don't have many choices out on the trail. These are real easy to take apart and you can get replacement springs and seals from Home Depot, now I have spare parts in case one dies on me. The trick to these is to follow the instructions. Setting up the deflators isn't hard. Deflate the tire, close off the deflator all the way, put it on the tire, and then gradually open it till you hear the tiniest amount of air escaping. Most of the negative reviews are going to be from people not following the instructions. The don't adjust them gradually and complain about not being consistent or don't tighten the lock nuts correctly afterwards and lose their adjustment.

Four and a half stars. I used these on three trucks last weekend. The deflators are solidly built and work well. I preset them to 16psi per instructions before our trip and used them as soon as we got up to camp. The accuracy was close, but not perfect. One truck (with 35s) came out at 18-19 psi and the trucks with the smaller tires came out 15-17 psi. I used the same tire gauge for all the checks. I don't know why the bigger tires would be different unless the amount of heat in the tires had something to do with it. I also checked the included tire gauge against a very good one that I have and they were within a pound of each other. I thought about installing the deflators and driving with them on while they deflated as others said they did, but these are solid brass and have some weight to them and I didn't want to take a chance on damaging a valve stem with the deflator bouncing around on it. These saved us a lot of time on our knees with a gauge.

Works just like a pair of more expensive brand that I have had for years. One thing that I have learned is that all of these types of deflators slow down when nearing the preset PSI. This can make it take some time. I usually stop right before the trail and put the deflators on while I'm driving deeper into the trail (slow paced off-road, dirt-road driving). Then when we get to where everyone wants to air down, I'm already there!

I purchased this as a gift for a good friend who just loves to take his truck off the road and into the mud and he is ALWAYS yappin about how much of a pain it is to get his tires (35x12.50x18) down to the pressure he feels "works best". So..after he opened deflator kit he was bordering on downright giddy! Needless to say....we had to go test it out...and the kit worked like a charm! Easy deflating....but also quite accurate by using the gauge that comes with the set. And "using" the kit is also easy..ESPECIALLY when you READ the instructions that come with it! In my opinion...all the components are decently made...especially the deflators...and you get a excellent case to stow everything. Well worth the money!

Purchased the Boulder Tools Tire Deflator kit to use on a jobsite at Assateague National Seashore involving driving up and down the beach several times daily. This kit has been an absolute must-have!!! The initial set up is simple and best off I can be deflating and ready to roll before the tailgate meeting is done. I've used them interchangeably on an an F150, Silverado, and F250 diesel to drop from 60 to 80 psi down to 20. I'm a little OCD so I always check before hitting sand and the gauge measures within +/- 4 psi. Typically my truck will drop from 60 to 20 in about 8 to 10 minutes. A coworker also picked up a set from Boulder and has similar accuracy amd performance. Only a couple of issues, that being the locking ring can wiggle if overly handled which will twiddle with the target psi. Also it's easy for sand to get into the stem and threads. Both are minor and avoidable if you store properly. The gauge included goes up to 80 psi so is useful if you have larger trucks and need more readings than a standard gauge.

I tend to buy premium products when it comes to "survival" functions so I was very cautious about buying these instead of the industry standard (Staun) $$ price. Staun, I think, created the design and their price has come down. I have owned these for only several months so i cant speak to the long term durability but have used them 4 times. The tire deflators get the 5 stars, the gauge is cheap, bulky, but consistent with my good accutire digital gauge, the box is kind of cheezy and bulky, so I only keep the deflators in their nice little compact pouch. There are lots of good tips given by the seller and other reviewers, and these air down consistently to within 1-2 psi. Some complain these are slow, if you are impatient, and the first isn't done by the time you put them all on your vehicle, you can speed it up by briefly pulling on the end pin (allowing fast air release), then if they are still bleeding slowly you can repeat till they stop. Also, I really looked at the "rapid tire deflator" design that unscrews the core to deflate very fast, but am a bit cautious about removing and rescrewing the cores when deep in the bush....That design may be faster, but you add complexity (think plumbing).... There are also some aluminum designed ones that allow slow driving with them mounted, and seem like a good idea, but there could be some corrosion variability? over time issues. The idea of driving with anything hanging off valve stems also can be forgotten and become an issue....torn stems from offroad driving are a known issue without the added extension.. Great product.

I like products that are well built and don't cause me problems, I tend to buy name brand or pay extra for premium products so I was very cautious about buying these instead of the industry standard (Staun) that are over 3 times the price. I took a chance and so far I think it's been worth the risk. I havent owned them long so i cant speak to the long term durability or funtionality. I bought this for the tire deflators only and thats what i am giving 5 stars, the gauge is cheap but measured the same pressure as my good gauge so at least it works. Follow the instructions and tips given by the seller and other reviewers, I did and was able to get the deflators to air down consistently to within 1 psi. It took a few attempts and adjustments. They are a bit slow. At first they are quick but as the pressure nears the set amount they slow significantly. Takes about 15 minutes to get my 35x12.50x17s from 36 psi to 18 psi. About half that time is in the last few psi so you get the idea. I usually have them on while doing other tasks and it's nice not to have to worry about over deflating but If I'm in a hurry I put the deflators on and then go to each tire with my fast deflator, that shaves some time.

I got the kit within 2 days. I immediately got an email from the company asking if I had received it and if I had any questions - great customer service. The deflators are of high quality and SIMPLE to set up. I had them all set in less time than it took me to deflate my tire! I wont get to use then until next week but the setup was a breeze. I saw alot of complaints about the case but I guess I didnt think it was that bad and they provided simple instruction on how to get the snaps to engage. I appreciated the reviews that said "Just Buy It" so here is my endorsement.. JUST BUY IT! UPDATE: I just got out to use these for the first time at the dunes. I maintain my 5 stars! They worked great! Had them preset to 10 lbs and that is right where they stopped even after rattling around in my back storage for a month. I helped someone else deflating and they were amazed at how well they worked and how inexpensive they were.

Great product. Set 1 tire to the pressure you want to set the deflators at. Follow the easy directions to set the deflators to the air psi of that tire. It only takes a few seconds to set each deflator. Done. After they're set, screw a deflator onto a tire valve and watch the tire automatically deflate to the pressure you set. These worked great... much easier and faster than deflating each tire manually. The case has foam padding inside. All 4 deflators fit easily into the pouch together. The tire gauge is common quality, but it works fine. Best of all, the Boulder Tools tire deflators cost much less than the 'other guys.' Great buy for off-roaders or beach-goers.
